I could have sworn Capcom won that. At any rate, didn't Capcom also sue over Art of Fighting, namely Ryo? For years to come they would become heated rivals of course. Still, I think it depends just one what grounds you're suing on. If you were suing on the basic of consumers being unable to tell the games apart, that wouldn't work I don't think. It's gotta be a tricky issue since games are going to naturally fall within different genres, and many games in that genre are going to be alike. If Capcom could sue any company to release a one-on-one fighting game featuring wildly unrealistic attacks executed by quarter/half/360 motions they'd be suing a lot of companies. However, if it was clear a number of characters' designs, specific attacks, etc were ripped off of Capcom, they'd have a good case. Similarly if backgrounds and the game logo was very similar ("Street Fighting: The World's Warriors"). Those are more clear-cut types of intellectual property. Plus, when a game is released that nearly creates an entirely new genre (i.e. Capcom and the classic 2D fighting game genre), any new entry into that genre could be almost considered a ripoff of the original. Game engines aren't as easy to sue over than visual trademarks As Angelslayer mentioned, I said in the original post that parody could be a defense. Not sure, though.

It gets easier once you get more skills but I haven't had much problem with it overall. Archers are a priority to take out, especially if they can get high up because then they have more range. Also, the guys with the sword magic can wreak havoc. The FFT incarnation of Cid is extremely badass. The most useful jobs to me seemed to be Monk, Lancer, Geomancer, and most of the Mage types.

Shao Kahn's actor (sprite wise, not voice) is tall, muscular...and really baby-faced. It's no wonder they put that mask on him. Really hard to seem threatening and evil when you look like that. Seriously? Pictures. PLEASE! I only saw them in a really old issue of Gamepro, and I don't even have that magazine anymore. Not surprisingly, no pic on IMDB.

In summary: Angelslayer: a somewhat of a wise ass with a sense of humor. Although he may be pestering the female posters a wee bit much. Mighty: He's acting too grumpy to really goof around too much with--at least here. Kamui: A bit too obsessive, and his jokes/insults are sucking pretty hard here. Okay, I now return you to your regularly scheduled bickering. Okay, that one worked, since Mighty didn't really complete his thought.

Don't worry, you'll find someone on this board you can enjoy conversing with your own age, Mighty. You really suck if you have to steal Ripper's material.

I'll even grudgingly admit that you've got a point there. It wasn't until the second half or so of the game that I began to really be annoyed with the title (which I still like way more than Xenosaga). Worst Final Fantasy Leads--if applicable, would be those bastards from FFTA. I hate FFTA more than Xenosaga, Saga Frontier, and FFVIII. The game's horrid story, archaic gameplay, and irritating characters made the entire time I played it pure hell. Never have I played a game and had such an overwhelming feeling of "what the hell am I doing playing this crap?" Absolute torture.
