...joke right? Considering she owns almost every version of ever MK game made, I don't find that hard to believe. Even MKA for GBA, Sakura? Time Killers had innovative gameplay too--I wouldn't call it good. Indeed. I loved the roster, but didn't like the actual game much.

Uh--I believe he was big and muscular, bald except for a ponytail, and did the "Roll of the Dice" (aka Last Rites, Spin Doctor, Test Drive, etc).

I didn't complain about certain choices being omitted because the question was "out of these" so I assume the original poster had his reasons for only asking about those.

I'm betting we'll see a mix of PS1 ports and original titles, personally (I keep hearing about all these companies opening PSP development divisions, so they must have SOMETHING they're working on besides PS1 ports). As long as the system has a good launch library, I'll buy it. I'm not surprised others won't, though- if it was my own money I was spending, I probably wouldn't pay $300 for it either, hehe. 300 dollars is a bit much. Plus, I'd wait a while because the first model of PSPs will probably explode in your pocket or something. Still...if... - There's enough buttons and a good enough button layout for a good Street Fighter game, and an accompanying kickass Street Fighter title... - Konami signs on to develop for it, maybe FINALLY giving us a Stateside release of CV: Rondo of Blood to go along with maybe some kick ass original platformers... - Sega brings us some awesome, maybe even some exclusive titles like a new traditional Phantasy Star, a great Sonic title, and a souped-up NiGHTs... I'll get around to getting one for sure. Throw it against the wall?

Assuming they do have a good launch library, and they just don't throw out rehashes of first-gen PS1 titles. Enough of the ports, too. It works for the GBA because they're usually porting truly classic games that were originally loved by older gamers, but still look and play well enough for younger gamers to latch onto as if they were GBA originals. Although, if Sony's smart they'll line up some good developers to provide some EXCLUSIVE new titles and maybe some harder to find classics. Although, with Sony's track record, I'd STAY THE HELL AWAY from the first run of PSPs. Chances are they'll be malfunctioning or developing some serious problem within the first few months. Sony really half-asses it when it comes to overall quality of their hardware, until they get around to fixing the problems.

What's right with it? Okay, besides cool character designs, and graphics that were fantastic for the time? Side-scrolling beat 'em up. Nope, not really a fighting game. When people say "fighting game" they usually mean a one-on-one combat game where matches take place on one of many possible enclosed environments. Technically, that excludes beat 'em ups and Super Smash Brothers style games. As well as wrestling games (which Spike TV didn't know).

MXC is awesome. I'm convinced anyone can enjoy this show. And hey, it's TECHNICALLY Japanese, so I'm still within my Japanophile geek quota! *wonders if there's some hardcore American Takeshi's Castle fans who are violently upset at Spike TV "ruining" the show* Without Farley, Spade's been nothing. So no big surprise there. I was actually planning on watching this show, but I didn't remember that it was on tonight. Looks like I lucked out.

Would I be like Eagan to say that Waldo is Eagan?
AndrewTS replied to The Czech Republic's topic in Site Feedback
Yup. Explanation was in a Hardcore Discussion thread. Dames said Eagen bought a DVD from someone in Tape Trading Folder, and the guy told him that Waldo was Chris Eagen, according to the name and address given. That was his real name? Hmph, and to think I thought it was based on the Ghostbusters character. -

Waldo's banned it seems...was he Eagan? -
What's a superfluous penis like? ...and now we have a name for that move, at least until WWE comes up with a really crappy one for it. Bless your extensive knowledge, Dean. Alas, I only taped it, doubting that WWE would allow these guys to go all out and give us a really good match. I'm glad to hear that they didn't disappoint and I'm going to have to check this mf'er out.

I think this has been well-known, but at any rate: Yeah...those...5. I sold off my copies of Anthology and Chronicles since now I can get them new, complete, and cheaper! Does anyone know if they're all out now or if they're coming soon? I think they're all mid-December.

Charlie's been wrestling with WWE that long?! I know he probably was in OVW most of the time, but that's rather surprising. I'm just curious how many times, if ever, Flair got a win over Hogan. Brakkus = 1996's Nathan Jones. Looks like a stinker of a crad except for possibly Furnas/LaFon vs. New Rockers, and maybe HBK/Goldust. Just about how long exactly did Fake Razor and Diesel wrestle before they dropped the gimmick entirely? I assume that Glen went back to a farm league until the Kane gimmick came up, because he was still under contract the whole time, right? Bogner I know wasn't too longer for the WWF and went to Japan shortly after this. Grimm Twins...shortly before the DOA I figure.
-
That's AWESOME. EDIT: How can anyone, let alone Benoit, bend in that way to sell the move? Looks like a Stretch Muffler only with one of Brock's legs across Benoit's neck. He actually has the Stretch Muffler in SD!: Shut Your Mouth and I think HCTP as well.

Yay...face Jericho.

Yes. Not perfection, and I like AoS more than it, but I've played a good bit of it over at a friend's place, and I'm very much considering it.

I think it would be more appropro to liken it to "the NES back in the 8-bit era" situation, except for the exclusivity agreements. That's just fine by me, because I hate the thought of these new handhelds wiping out the last bastion of 2D gaming. Trivia: Early in development of TR1, she was called Lara Cruz. She does look more Latina than W.A.S.P., actually.

Okay, that's what baffled me. It probably is a lot higher if you count the secondary marketplace. *sigh* I wish Castlevania Chronicles would be a GH, because I really, really want my Rondo of Blood already. However, I don't think they made enough for that to even be possible. Also--yeah, I really hate the puke-green bars. At least the PS2 GHs look a lot nicer with the red. Still, Nintendo did it right for SNES, using the same basic box design, but with a ribbon declaring it was a million seller and the "Super Nintendo" logo would be in gold lettering. Agreed. Even I, hater of nearly everything Square released in the past 5 years, loved it.

The N-Gage was a disaster, and the PSP/Tapwave Zodiac/etc are all going to be jockeying for market share. I don't this ending well. They had some cool hand-held standalone games back in the day, though. "At present, the only game revealed is reliable old Tomb Raider, seemingly made available for every device that gets a release." Is it appropriate to call Lara Croft a whore?
-
Oooh yeah, I forgot about that. Although, with Billy on the payroll, I doubt it would be brought up.
-
Bob'll probably look to preorder this as soon as he finds out. "William Regal: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE S.) William Regal, Neil Chandler " *sigh* I guess that means another ghost-written book. If it's not being written by the actual wrestler, why bother? Especially when likely what happened is that the writer and wrestler hung out for a day or so, and the book was written from that. It still could be quite interesting. If it covers the Hogan promo, thoughts on the Real Man's Man gimmick, and gives a little bit of dirt, it could be an interesting read.
-
And almost 3 years later, I expect something similar for the revenge plot next week on Jericho/Christian. *Misses blond face Molly, and Regal's character. *
-
Yeah, right. Whether it's kayfabe or real, wrestling retirements almost never last.
-
I think it's 500,000. I remember hearing that was about what Castlevania: SotN was up to only, but it is a Greatest Hits title. A lot of GH titles are million sellers, but not all are. Although I don't get that either, because you only see them used marked up to $35-$45 by Gamespot and EB (although half.com is more reasonable), when they're supposed to be priced at 20 bucks. Still, what took so long with these, exactly? There weren't really any new copies of these being made to sell new.

I don't see how or why anyone would give such a rating. Ditto. Keith gave it something like ****1/2--despite pointing out the myriad problems in it just above his rating. Stoopid or typo?
-
I'm pretty sure it's an injury. There was that whole incident with Helms, but he wasn't suspended for it. Haven't heard about him being released or anything. So likely he was just injured.
