That Goldberg Bounty thing, and Raw in general...
AndrewTS replied to Toxxic's topic in The WWE Folder
I think a far more likely candidate is the one who replaced Big Gimpy the first time he was penciled in for a big main event run and got injured... HBK. Yeah, he seems face now, but I think they probably figure he's gotten REALLY stale now and that turning him would freshen up his character. Yeah, that doesn't leave too many face contenders, but hey, they could still try to get Sting to sign. -

Reply to most of that: WWE logic. Common sense doesn't apply. As for Austin/Goldberg, at least that would justify all that was done to make Austin look so unstoppable. Plus, if booked well (we're talking hypothetically) it could draw huge. Yet, Austin basically confirmed he's done with wrestling completely. Anyways, it shouldn't matter if he's "got bills to pay" because he's a multi-millionaire who, at least character-wise, doesn't have expensive tastes. -
There's been more recent ones. Source: http://kandd.shootangle.com/raw99.html

Can they come in the career-ending form this time around? Please? -Patrick What defines "career-ending" for Nash? The guy can barely walk, can't bump, can't even do basic moves, isn't really in the minimum condition a wrestler should be--if the guy can stand upright he'll be going out to the ring.

I was able to get another with the box and instructions. When I can, I prefer to get 'em complete. I'm selling EWJ because I got the PC version which is the Special Edition.

Click here. Self explanatory. Put some games up for auction that I want to clear out. Bid if you want--I need some money!

Hurry up and come back, Big Kev--your constant pushes and subsequent injuries amuse me.

I ordered Gungrave--10.59 total, of course sales tax here in PA is 6%. May vary for some others here. Kudos for the heads up, sir.

One other problem overall I have with this...multiple choice math tests?! How many people here had multiple choice math tests?

So....Bradshaw's not from Texas?

Velocidental is going to get more pages than this show.

Having not watched the show, just going to read the recrap--er, recap. Sorry--such a fine line between WWE and feces these days. I dunno--usually when you do a midget bit you have the midget dress as your opponent. *shrug* I disagree. The last thing this angle needed was a midget. I fail to see the point of the whole feud. Hasn't Benoit beaten A-Train about 4 times in the past six months? So if Train wins, doesn't really hurt Benoit. Yet at the same time--so what? Benoit is a directionless midcarder. If Benoit wins, so what? He only beat Train again. Kudos for having the patience and/or resistance to fall asleep to recap the Stephanie interview. At the same time, I think it was wasted effort since probably no one reading your recaps give a shit. No offense. General consensus among those I talked to on the board? 3 months Steph returns as a heel. I wish they did. That was actually funny. Two good workers with characters--what's not to love? Plus Nidia sucks in the ring but she rarely wrestles, doesn't cut promos often and when she does they're funny, and she fits the persona perfectly. Shame they've done nothing with Noble. I'm a bit disappointed I missed Noble/Tajiri and Rhyno/Eddy---but I've seen them before, longer and better, and I couldn't be bothered to avoid the other shit on the show. Looks to be a better show than I expected, but sadly the "new direction" of Smackdown has sucked the fun out of it for me. WWE...simple concept...good matches featuring good characters. VERY FUCKING SIMPLE!!

Yeah. His opposition had some laughable beliefs... "Don't worry, this Angle/Brock feud will be great. Angle will look strong going into the match." "Don't worry, Shane's not going to be here long. He's just going to face Kane, take a big bump, job, and go away." "Don't worry, Angle's going to be booked more seriously, this is just showing more depth in his character." Some consider him a glorified troll, but when it comes to predicting how the booking team will plan things in the long run, he's chillingly accurate. Also, the difference between him and Eddy, Rock, etc--there's "laughing with" vs. "laughing at." Big difference. For example, I don't think Big Show will be able to be used very effectively for a long time now.

According to DBZ, when you use it it turns whoever inhales it into your mind-controlled slave.

I think there's a pottery show going on that's pulling away WWE's target audience. Maybe the Canadian posters opted to watch hockey, or curling instead, or whatever sport is going on up there now.

Whatever happened to the Canadian SD thread?

Cry, cry, go on little baby. You gonna cry? Cry, cry, cry. Watch this get a huge rating to piss us off. Whatever. Iiiiiii dooooooon't caaaaaaaare aaaaany-moooore!

Despite having an interest in political science, I still can't find myself getting too excited about local elections. Concrete, easy-to-find information about candidates is hard to come by unless you really dig for info, and the end result doesn't really matter since the party I typically vote for has a minority of voters here. One of the many things that make me so apathetic about local politics? Lame political slogans. Why should I vote for you if you can't even come up with something catchy? For example, running for Commissioner around here...on one side, we have a candidate declaring he's a "Man of Vision"--ironically, they show this slogan next to a picture of the guy wearing glasses. Trite, and unintentionally humorous--but not a slogan to get me behind the guy. The other person running for the position declares he'll "Keep Fayette (county name) on the move." What does that mean? I was unaware we were "on the move" in the first place. We're dead-last economy wise out of all the counties in the state I believe. However, it's well known that a great number of young people looking to have an important career tend to move out of the county--is that what he means? How does that make me want to vote for him? This isn't really a "current events" topic persay, but since this is the thread usually used for political discussions, here it goes. I'm sure you guys have some doozies of your own you've seen.

TV's Hercules played a Conan? When was this?

Flik: Naw, doesn't sound surprising. I learned it early myself, but I was going to a private school until I went on to high school. It may vary from school to school and state to state, natch. Except for the diagrams and stuff, it was very easy, especially ones requiring only simple multiplication and division. Perhaps they intentionally gave an early quiz which didn't require us to know too many complicated formulas. And yet you got 7/10. HA!! renegade v.1: We usually use calculators in later grades.

A pretty good price, but I have SYM and plan on sticking with it until HCTP's price comes down.

Reminds me of a comedian mocking said soundtrack. Dun dun da-dun, da-dun-dun-dun, dun dun da-dun, da-dun-dun-dun *begins tapping microphone*. It wasn't exactly something to listen to for fun.

It sounds more like Vince wants heel wrestlers to turn into boring, monotonous slackers who say absolutely NOTHING interesting and turn the crowd away in the process. Well, look who was the top Raw heel for the past year or so.
