    Trivia's Saturday news

The Sunshine Network is in Florida. I believe it is their UPN affiliate, but don't quote me on that. TSN stands for The Sports Network. Okay, I thought so, but wasn't sure. My bad. I know there's a good reason for the name, but still...

    Savage challenges Hogan for WMXX...

:: flashback to Huckster vs. Nacho Man at Wrestlemania XII :: When Vince does a MST3K shoot on you because you're old, then comes calling on you 8 years later, what would that say? Vince had at least some taste at the time, because that's a damn good show. And Vince wasn't senile then, I guess.

Yeah, what competition--I guess Vince realizes that he can't afford to let a huge money-drawing competitor like Lawler take part in that show. Is that was "TSN" in Canada stands for? BWAHAHAHA!!! That's almost as bad as "Spike TV."

    Ten years ago today

Heheh, wow. I actually had one of those battery-chomping Game Bricks at one time. I just saw one of the systems at a flea market (and maybe it is just comparing it to the GBA), but HOLY SHIT that thing is huge for a "portable." The Gear was pretty fun, but kinda lacking in good games from what I remember.

    Bradshaw on Fox?

"Ah have legally changed mah name to Stockton Bondage."

    Sean O'Haire

Naw, O'Haire's still young, and he could improve a lot--I'm just talking about him NOW in this incarnation that doesn't really look to be going anywhere. Arguing that Gunn will become a huge star--now THAT's a lost cause. That is pretty funny, but the one I saw Brock do in OVW was better than Kidman's. And as for the Seanton Bomb, after Brock nearly killed himself at Mania, fat chance on big guys doing more top rope moves. Plus I think SOH bulked up since the WCW days, so I'm not sure he'd want to risk it himself.

"O'Haire uses the Cruel Intentions/Widomaker DVD slam." Okay, that's right--the Razor's Edge version was only for house shows/dark matches I think.

Cruel Intentions, a Razor's Edge variation.

Jindrak... He's the guy that used to be a VIOLENT BASKETBALL PLAYER and had a crappy match with Jericho in his Raw debut?

    Sean O'Haire

I'll restate my position... I'm cool with anyone liking O'Haire if they want, because that's fine if it's what you truly feel. You can be a huge Test fan, or a huge Orton fan, and I don't mind. However, if you want to convince me to like said persons or convince me that they'll be huge starts someday, and start a thread for that expressed purpose, you'll need to be very convincing.

Nearly 12 months She hasn't really been a writer, just head of the booking team (after Vince), and since 2000, not 2001. Okay, both cases are worse than what I thought.

I think Dogg needed a tag team partner, but Gunn did little else but wiggle his ass and say "suck it." I don't think it would have been difficult for some one else to do his job just as well or better. Considering all of HHH's recent challengers, except for Booker, would have been disasters, I won't challenge that point, but how many years will it be, exactly? I wouldn't blame Vince if Goldberg jobs to HHH, though, although even I conceed it might be a stupid decision--just not as one as overt as pushing Nash and Steiner to the main event right out of the gate.

"Vince will overide HHH, he has in the past, and he will in the future, it's his company, and Vince McMahon puts his company first." Diesel, 9 months WWF champion... Stephanie, writer since 2001. HHH, Raw champion for about a year save for that month it was on his buddy HBK. I rest my case. HHH is way too selfish to give Gunn a chance, since even his best buddy HBK had only a token reign. He might, but only on the basis that Gunn is NO threat to his spot. And Gunn wouldn't have been over in NAO without Road Dogg.

Billy can't get over. It's impossible. Don't worry about it. Billy isn't a Cliq member either, and since HHH isn't going out of his way to see that the other Cliq members get constant main event shots (Nash and HBK are both in midcard hell just like any other former challengers), a guy who was basically just a tag along like Billy isn't going to benefit either. If he gets another push, it will be only because Vince likes him and gives him another chance. But even that will fail like every Gunn push.

    This is BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!

The Eliminating Chamber wasn't the main event, it was WHERE THE MAIN EVENT TOOK PLACE!! Still, the Chamber is more over than most of the participants in the match. I'd be about as upset at a hunk of metal being pushed over the wrestlers as I am a hunk of plastic being pushed over the wrestlers.

Chuck was tolerable teaming with Billy--those two bumping and selling for 2 Count was great stuff. Yeah, they still kinda sucked, but they were really trying, bless their studly hearts!

We're not trying to gang up on Franchise, but it comes down to this... Guys like Matt and Cena now, or Rock and Austin before they got big--there were fairly obvious, tangible reasons to think they'd become huge stars. There's nothing really tangible here. You like O'Haire and hope he becomes successful. That's okay, and I can accept that. Trying to convince us of the same isn't going to be easy or even possible, because we're just not seeing anything in him. If he does switch characters and get big, you can't honestly say that you just knew he was going to get big one day, because the current character would have nothing to do with it. Plus, O'Haire's promos sucked once he had to cut them semi-live. Maybe acting lessons would help, but WWE seems to have given up on it completely.

    Sean O'Haire

Hehe, well, I admire your honesty, sir. I don't think it's entirely unfeasible, but I doubt it would be with this current character. Did anyone think in 1997 that Hunter Hearst Helmsley would be considered a top WWE star at any time in the future? Probably not many, but even they wouldn't have been able to guess it from the character he was doing then.

O'Haire will team up with an awesome up and coming wrestler and that wrestler will go onto the main event while O'Haire stays midcard, stroking his beard all the time. O'Haire = Jim Neidhardt 2006.

Give Val Venis the same gimmick that O'Haire was going to use, and watch him do it 5,000 times better. He's got the creepy voice, he's a good actor, he's a pretty good wrestler--he just needs a goatee.
