Intending on hanging onto the SNES? I was thinking of getting another since the cartridge slot on mine is looser than Torrie Wilson's cootch--I have a bitch of a time getting it started up since I have to stuff an envelope in the slot to keep the cartridges straight.

--Metal Slug 3. I saw in a Gamespot article about the King of Fighters bundle and Metal Slug 3 for GBA--though I wondered about the PS2 version. It's already out on PS2 in Japan. I was up at E.B. and asked if there was any word on it, and supposedly Metal Slug for PS2 is coming out on December 13th! STILL tempted to import, but it will be a lot cheaper if I can wait... Then again, odd that a major site hasn't reported it, so maybe it's wrong?

I grew up in the NES era and still don't have sentimental attachment to it. The games just sucked. I grew up during the era but I never got a game system until Christmas...94 I think, when I got a Genesis and Jurassic Park for it. Up until then I'd only played some NES over my cousins', and I liked Mega Man and Mario at least.

Whooo! How'd I miss it exactly? I saw the announcement for the GBA version but I guess that was afterwards, and it wasn't mentioned since they just assumed it was well known? And I've gotta pick this sucker up--maybe the KoF bundle pack too. Metal Slug, for any just skimming this thread who don't know, is like Contra, except more cartoony, with more reasonable difficulty (unlimited continues on X/2 at least--I assume with this too), and more emphasis placed on fun.

If the GBA wasn't out now and wasn't 20 times more powerful or so, maybe. I'd personally like a newer, more compact SNES--however, without production of new games they wouldn't really bother, would they? No one would profit but guys who deal in used games like Gamestops. I grew up in the 16-bit era and still play 8 bit games in the form of old Game Boy games on my GBA. Hell, I had a Game Gear for a while too. So I don't have the sentimental attachment to NES others do...to me the games mostly have bad graphics and are too hard/expect you to play straight through without saves to actually complete it. I admire the tenacity of those who grew up and liked it that way, but I can't go back...

Gamestop's good, but I usually sell games via half.com. It's affiliated with Ebay, and it's fixed price instead of auction. And old sports games go for a few bucks at most. They're virtually worthless for trading in/selling--even online.

Naw, it's a title match. Plus order doesn't really matter on the syndicated show. I've been to a SD that had a Noble/Tajiri match prior to the Velocity fireworks, but it made Velocity anyway. Now THAT'S a scary thought.
