With the oversaturation and recommendations by Cole and Coach, does anyone think that WWE using St. Anger is going to HURT it more than anything? -

It's great how far blacks have come in wrestling... *remembers HHH-Booker storyline* Uh, nevermind. -
Right--the LOD burned their bridges as much or more than anyone else, and if they weren't so pitiful in the ring they might have gotten a contract. Be afraid, be very afraid.
-
That sucks. =/ I'm commuting to Cal U of PA. On Monday they're showing Summerslam free (I assume a tape of it) and I get both shows anyway.
-
Oh goody, HHH can get his job back. Did Vince learn nothing from WCW?
-
Because there's no nudity on this, obviously. Playboy = yawn, anyway.
-
I think that even if it is actually "good" it probably is inferior to the source material.
-
Ah......Test is a pretty big guy.....And he beats women right now....hell, in WWE, this may not change for the next three years.... You know, Austin and X-Pac-- Eh, I'll pass.
-
HA! They barely broke even. Although they made 11 million dollars, proportionately they didn't make much profit. You know, they'd have done a lot better if they didn't pay ungodly amounts to top actors these days. Of course, CGI was undoubtedly most of the cost in The Hulk's case. They'll probably make a little profit on the home video releases--but I find this pretty funny.

Anyone care to ask around at local DVD places to see how this is doing? At Saturday Matinee, I was chatting with a lady who worked there while I was ordering my WWF Action! DVD. Turns out they haven't sold a damn one of the Brock DVDs. I suggested probably because of poor promotion and the fact that all those matches on it are found on PPV DVDs that are generally worth getting by themselves. However, in sad related news, they sold out of the Bad Blood DVDs.

He was in Too Cool, which were very over babyfaces who were at least small draws. They made fans care about Rikishi as well.

Oh yeah, can't believe I forgot Heyman, although he wasn't commentating the whole year, just mainly during the Alliance angle. Also--Jericho becoming Undisputed Champion, even if they completely botched him afterwards. And since 2001 directly followed 2000 and wasn't followed by one of the crappiest years in WWE, 2002, that probably has a large part to do with it.
-
CC: Not at all. I honestly didn't think it was the same Jazz when she showed up in WWE--it was like she had merged with Elektra.
-
Yeah, but aside from awesome PPVs, Austin at his best in years, Angle being pushed heavily, some great HHH matches before he tore his quad and was gone the rest of the year, a face Molly having good matches, some mark-out moments provided by the Alliance angle, it wasn't that good. The actual weekly TV shows were generally far inferior to the average SD these days.

Some one on the board called it the best Big Show match ever. I think technically one of the tag matches he was in would get the nod, but one-on-one vs. another wrestler--very likely. "How convenient of Show's music to play right there after that spontaneous impromptu announcement, huh?" I always imagined the production guys have a big switchboard marked with wrestlers' names, so their music, entrance video, and so forth are all cued up and ready to go. I'd personally go with the "one full entrance per night, that's it!" thing, but bitching about it being ready seems a bit too nit-picky. And supposedly the Gowen-Hardy match is off, JHawk. I know they didn't really come out and say it...but WWE doesn't seem to really care about when or if they announce matches not deemed main attractions. Good recap, but I think something worth mentioning that no other recapper or Cole or Tazz really brought up was that Brock smeared Zach's blood onto his chest--just like monster heel Brock did after destroying and bloodying Hogan after their match. VERY cool touch. Oh, and Brock is improving with his mic skills. He isn't quite "good" yet, but considering how downright horrible he once was he's much improved. A nitpicky comment of my own..."Fall(s) Count Anywhere Street Fight"....that's a HARDCORE MATCH, VINCE!!! And the FCA part didn't really have too much affect on the match--hell, it ended in the ring, so I don't really know why that part had to be added to the rules.
-
You might want it more after reading the complete match listing. I'll copy and paste since some people are lazy: (courtesy of JakL25) Now I want it. =P Why can't they put match listings on all their DVDs?
-
Probably not--they're all PPV matches from PPVs that are worth owning anyway, so I'd pass on it. I already own all of the matches on it in some form.

Why the fuck hasn't Nash been fired yet?

That does appear to be a crappy picture--papacita's sig pics of Chyna all look much better. Other than being a bit too flat and her abs being far too built I don't see the problem.
