The "article" is short, spotty, has no quote listed, is inadequately sourced and vague. Considering that there is another Square story floating around that's based solely on a joke article on some 4th rate site, I'm hesitant to believe it without more detailed info from a more trustworthy source. "PS3 Center?" Who the **** are they?

Nothing, since there's multiple FFXIII projects, which was announced at the very beginning.

Rant: as far as I can tell the cable doesn't come with a converter if your VGA monitor has a "male" connector cable, right? It's just made to connect to a "female" VGA port?

If they wanted to use the NFL name, they surely couldn't do that, but if they went for another title, sure. Of course, while Legends of Wrestling managed to license plenty of wrestlers for the series--you need more folks for something like that idea. You'd be looking probably at a high cost to license enough individual "legend" players to fill a decent number of spots for a football game, when you could just make a fictional league. Unless you wanted to make, like, 4 "teams" or just a big pool of guys that you select from whenever you play a game. That would make a traditional franchise mode kind of unlikely. I wonder if Midway will just go ahead and make Mortal Kombat Football already. I swear that there are practically enough characters in the mythos to make 8-10 teams.

Interesting article laying out what the Elite 360 does--and more importantly doesn't--offer over the current versions of the system: http://www.gamepro.com/microsoft/xbox360/g...T&ATTR=DIGG It's in need of editing big time (Gamepro's journalistic standards are damn low), but there's plenty of valid there. Ignore the stupid comments, though.

There's an accessory cable for the 360 to connect it up to a VGA monitor.

I think it sounds like a much better concept than Blitz: The League. Good luck, 2K.

I havent played Panzer Dragoon Orta on the Xbox, but if its as good as the first two on the Saturn then im all for it. While were on the subject of Panzer Dragoon, i just picked up Panzer Dragoon Saga for my Saturn. Cost me a freakin' fortune! It's way better than the original and it's about on par or better than Zwei IMO. Here are some other folks' opinions: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/showthread.php?t=551660

My sucky local theaters aren't showing it. I'll have to travel about 50 miles to get to a theater that does. EVERY place around here is playing In the Land of Women though. Meh.

That laptop reminds me how much I really need to get a widescreen HD LCD for this thing.

I don't mean "why don't they do fatalities right away?", I mean "why does Smoke *only* use those bombs then?" The answer if course is that they already set Cyrax's stuff and everything Smoke does uses existing animations (teleport uppercut, his chest hatch opening for the spear, etc.). Although there are games where you can basically finish the match at any time with instant kill moves (Guilty Gear for instance, Killer Instince Gold is a bit lenient with its dead moves, and others). OMG Sonya is a witch! Mushrooms? Steroids? Oh, I have it--the cyber-enhancements!
-
I like how Cyber Smoke apparently still has his soul but the others did not. Lin Kuei apparently didn't perfect their soul-removal technology and it slipped in to cyber-Smoke. Was it, like, hiding behind his kidney? Plus they can apparently shoot whatever the hell they want out of their chest but chose not to always use it. Smoke has a bajillion bombs in there for his fatality but doesn't use it during battle while Cyrax does. And Smoke shot missiles out his chest in MK Annihilation, but he never does in the game.

Wait, Tobias? Are we talking past tense here? I thought Tobias was long gone from Midway?

Yeah, the Wireless Networking Adapter for 100 U.S. bucks. Music, yes. You can rip CDs. You can also connect an iPod up with USB and play music from it. You can stream music and videos from a PC as well, but as far as storing it on there, I don't know of a way of doing it. Since you can obviously buy and download video through the Marketplace, there's probably a workaround for it to add your own video content. Paging Ripper...

Like, if Deception and Armageddon hadn't been done, dragging the creaky Deadly Alliance engine back? And if instead of them a truely new game was made that was *at least* on par with DoA2's fighting engine? Shaolin Monks was a good time, I think--nonsensical plotholes and all.

Buffy the Complete Box Set (Seasons 1-7)
AndrewTS replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in Television & Film
The Pack is goofy as all hell, I think. The best part of it IMO is that is referenced when Xander shares his experience with Larry in a later episode, trying to get him to CONFESS to being the werewolf. -
It's good news. Don't be an immature jerk about it. I yanked it out of the cabinet and finally played it again, having not had a chance to since I got rid of the old xbox. Runs great, still tremendous fun, and the 360 controller feels so much better. There's still a few obscure games (that most pople won't care about) I'm hoping to see (Voodoo Vince, Spikeout, and perhaps Stranger's Wrath), but Orta, Jet Set, more good fighters (including SF 3rd Strike which is on Anniversary Collection) are great updates.

Well, Oblivion is an RPG with a first-person view and real-time combat, but yeah--the ridiculous stats may be daunting for me to actually have fun with it. BTW, I had enough of the 360's sucky dpad and did this mod: http://www.ufighterx.com/guides/videogame/.../360dpadfix.htm I have 2 wireless controllers and did it on them (fortunately I had a torx screwdriver that fit already, but I didn't find the final screw under the bar code label in the battery bay at first). It works very well. Previously it was a hell of a struggle to consistenly do Alucard's spells in SotN or even simple tap motions in umk3--now I do both with ease. This mod was published well over a year ago, since I knew about it but forgot about it since I didn't have a 360. You'd *think* MS would fix it by now. With that done, the 360 pad is almost a perfect standard controller.
