Yeah, Gyakuten Saiben 4 is the first game in the series to be designed especially for DS, although Japan got the re-releases as well. http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/13/phoenix-...ed-for-america/ Screenies included. As you can see, it basically looks exactly the same as PW1 and 2.

The sequels were far superior. Single-plane side-scrolling beat 'em up violence gets rather dull without excellent level designs or other sorts of gimmicks. Super Paper Mario is one of the funniest games I've ever played.

Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law: http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/04/capcom_phoenix_.html Confirmed-- Phoenix Wright 3 for US: http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/13/phoenix-...ed-for-america/

I'm surprised there's no thread for this yet... Anyway, we've still got some time to go, but with all the major characters' US voices finally revealed (many of them no-brainers, though), figured I'd post them: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3147824 Depp seems either no or unknown, though. Too bad, since he'd be voicing two characters in here. But screw him--CHRISTOPHER ****ING LEE is in there!

Sony has announced that (at least in the US), the 20 GB PS3 is dead. So, speculate. Is Sony planning a PS3 "elite?" Either way, is a price drop imminent? How lame is it if there isn't? Does this effect your decision to buy/not buy one? Why the #&(!^ does David Jaffe swear so &%)-)@#>ing much? Do you know the Polygon Man?

I did see KH2 GH at Wal-Mart. It's the same packaging but with the GH banner and minus the shininess of the cover.

Common sense told me so (price of wired controllers MS is selling), but it didn't hurt to ask. And cool, didn't know about that. Have you actually done it? It talks about partitioning it if it is any larger than 32GBs...will it matter to the 360 when you pick your storage device when it's partitioned? Oh, and I downloaded the Crackdown demo and playing the crap out of it. I know the full game doesn't have you level up quite so fast, but it isn't tedious, is it? I do have some trouble getting around in vehicles without killing police and civilians though. Oops. Same way in the full game?

"Fourth rate RPG?" I wasn't the biggest fan of the battle system, but it worked. However, the timing-based attacks were still far more strategic than most turn-based battle systems. It would be great to see Valkyrie Profile get the same treatment after the relative disappointment of VP2.

I suspect $49.99, because it isn't just Final Mix +, it's the remade chain of memories too. I think an idea price would be $29.99 myself, though.

We're using a Gamestop list to speculate on when/if future games will come out? Where's that Soul Calibur 3 for Xbox, while we're on that topic? An Assassin's Creed on DS is an Assassin's Creed in name only. However, "Project Assassin" was originally mentioned for release on PSP and Wii as well on the leaked Ubi release list last E3. But cool, it looks like TOUCH THE DEAD is coming out after all.

I got Super Paper Mario. It's quite terrific. Just about the only thing that rather annoyed me about Paper Mario was that I wasn't too much of a fan of the turn-based battles. Done away with. It's still an RPG. The action isn't as intense as a real Mario platformer, but there is your expected puzzle solving/item collecting, etc. If you're a fan of the series you know what to expect, basically.

I bought a 360. Quick question--will any standard USB controller work as a wired, or do you need to buy specially marked 360 pads?

More than one of the guys who wrote "Cop Killer" being a regular cast member on Law & Order?

So NBC debuts a good new show...jerks it around on the schedule big time, and cancels it before really giving it a shot. Who do they think they are, Fox? -
Today is the ship date. Nintendo is prone to awkward ship dates like that (see also: NSMB Sunday)

So, could either of you folks tell us a little more about Puzzle Quest?

A trickle. Because of DS' GBA slot, I don't expect we'll see the end of GBA games completely for a while.

Yeah, Power Glove was great. The release of that video was well timed, too--the Wii was still a ways away and lots of folks were speculating on how effective it will be. Wow--internets are serious business around here... Ninty has put out a VC press release for today: I'll wait for 1up's Retro Roundup to hear how Bravoman is. The others I have on other compilations (and wouldn't pay that much for singly, either).

Please, NEVER bring up Angry _ Nerd's review of the game. The guy is less trustworthy than GameSpot for game reviews, and he is just not funny nor is he worth my time to watch. He's intermittently funny. You're being silly if you expect an unbiased "review" from a persona that's all about angry ranting and raving about games that ticked him off as a child.

Apparently RE4 Wii will be 30 bucks new, and supports true widescreen: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/vine/showthread.php?t=548764 If the visuals are GC quality or better, this may be worth picking up after all.

Do you have a bootable disc, such as an install disc or a system repair/restore disc? If you do and it doesn't boot, then you know you're probably not looking at an issue with the drive.

I don't believe the F or the roster is a concern at all, really. Remember that Vince & Co. have grown extremely protective with their "intellectual property," and when they own a name/trademark/gimmick, they basically own it forever. So while they've been signing retired talent to the Legends programs, TNA ex-WWF guys often do ripoffs of their own former characters because WWE owns the trademarks on them. Remember Fake Diesel and Razor. Specifically relating to video games--about half of the WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game roster was gone by the time it hit consoles. Plus, Acclaim was selling and distributing WWF Attitude for Dreamcast years after it was made initially...and it was WWF that sued Acclaim over it. Tecmo Bowl was altered to remove player names. If necessary, WWF logos could be removed/altered from No Mercy I believe. However, it won't happen, because THQ/Yukes would rather sell the new SvR game on Wii.

I don't think we can rule out a No Mercy VC port because of issues with The Fund. I think it could be ruled out because the game is still better than the garbage THQ releases these days.
