Don't judge it by whether or not you'd listen to the song by itself. That totally isn't the point. The stories, the beat patterns, the dance moves of the Agents--all factors that, even with an annoying song, can make for a really fun gameplay experience. Although there are perhaps 1 or 2 (La La and Skater Boi namely) that are so bad you just want to get through it and not be bothered with ever again. However, YMCA is *scary* fun. Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! is filled with overplayed Japanese pop that I'd never listen to by themselves, too. Yeah I'll probably pick it up and suffer through the music, but damn you I didn't know La La and Skater Boi were on there too. That doesn't help me wanting to buy it. If it helps ease the pain any, they're just covers, not the actual recordings.

I picked up the game. Wal-Mart had like 5 copies left. As opposed to EB, where they have no flipping idea when they'll even get the game in. It's Scurge: Hive all over again. I don't expect to dig into it for a while, but I figured may as well get it now before the presumed low print run leads to it becoming super-rare and selling for $60+ on Ebay. Oh, and it ran $29.92 at Wal-Mart, in case you're wondering the price. I expect whenever EB/Gamestop actually gets the game it'll be $34.99.

Have you ever got so frustrated with a game that you...
AndrewTS replied to CBright7831's topic in Video Games
Yup. It's cane dude. Odd that you "weren't that good at it." I've managed to make nearly everyone else my bitch, especially with time attack practice. I can even counter the Bull Charge on both MTPO and SPO (left body punch right on the 3rd hop for the instant knockdown). -

I've never managed to beat Hoy Quarlow on Super Punch Out. -
You're not the first person I've heard express their dislike or outright hatred for Canned Heat, which is somewhat surprising to me not only as a Jamiroquai fan but because there are several truly awful songs on this game much more deserving of scorn. I'd like to rephrase that: I have no problems with the song, but I hate the Canned Heat level. The beats are so weird and awkward. It took me a heck of a long time to beat it on normal. Jumpin' Jack Flash on Normal is killing me.

Congrats on obtaining your Wii, Leena. How you end up getting it? I know you were adamantly against camping out for a sale.

1000 Reasons why Late Night with Conan O'Brien
AndrewTS replied to The Mandarin's topic in Television & Film
Yeah, so stupid it was terrific (Infomercial the Musical). It also featured the "I'm-a-gonna-go to hell when I die" song. -

If it works it shouldn't matter for a trade in. Whomever would end up with your system has no warranty save for what the retailer offers, anyway. A while back when EB/Gamestops were taking trade ins on broken PS2s for refurbishing, I gave them a phat one that was opened and previously had a flip-top lid installed. They took it anyway and gave me the appropriate credit.

The Anthem? Really? That's one of the harder but more fun levels IMO, but I hate Canned Heat. Positively love September, though. La La is just such a rancid song that even EBA can't make it fun.

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/23/presumab...-kombat-on-wii/ Boon: "So easy in fact, even your grandmother will be throwing spears, teleporting, and doing fatalities." But can a caveman do it?

Yeah, October 2007 is the current date. Weak That's okay. A Zelda delayed tends to be a Zelda that turns out fantastic.

1up gave it an 8/10 and an EGM review gave it 10/10. Pretty much all I know about it is that it's from the folks who made Trace Memory, and while the gameplay is similar, it's supposed by like about 100x better than that game.

The retailer itself is cutting the price and taking a hit, not Sony. It's not a genuine price cut. "Maybe Japanese gamers are smarter, so they won't buy an expensive system that's lacking in good games? Oh wait, this is the same region where a collection of five tech demos selling for full price, is topping the charts." Hey, there are PS3 games that are selling: Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacer and that Gundam game. But even at regular retail price, the PS3 is still cheaper for Japanese gamers when you take exchange rates into account. I've considered, at some point, importing a Japanese PS3. I'll be able to play all PS3 games, import PS2 games, and can continue to play American games on my PS2. "It'll be interesting to see how the release of VF5 affects things." It'll be an arcade sensation, but Anya has noted that usually the home ports don't sell all that fantastic. The draw to those big fighters is the arcade competition, and there's little need for a home port when you can drop a few hundred yen at the local arcade and get real human competition that you never met/fought before. Home version would be usually used for practice.

I played the level...and I keep running out of time before I can ever finish it! Blah! If you want me to make one and send it to ya, I can. You just had to ask. EDIT: One problem with me making a level for you...I have no objects to place! What the heck?

Make sure you're doing the in-between moves. Pretty much all they do is jog in place, which I tried to do as well. Game & Watch cameo was surprising. Loved the Star Fox boss stage. EDIT: I did it! I don't know how but I did. This game doesn't seem to be intended for use with the wriststrap.
