Austin Aries' flurry on Samoa Joe at Final Battle 04 can still give me chills. They had been building up the fact that Aries had been doing some training in the New Japan Dojo, and it came into play when Aries just hits beautifully timed kick to the face and finishes Joe with the Brainbuster/450 combo. The match where Marufuji beat Taue for the GHC had an insane ending sequence. Taue goes for an avalanche chokeslam, but Maru backflips out, superkicks Taue-PERFECT CRADLE~!!-new GHC Champ.

Maybe some sort of alliance with another heel? I could see him being the Miz's personal hitman. Sort of like Diesel.

I hadn't heard about Dragon getting a concussion, but he's crazy, he'll probably try to work through it. He's worked through lots of shit he shouldn't have. His shoulder was jacked up for the last 5 months of his title reign. And of course there's the three way where him, KENTA AND Samoa Joe all got injured.

Instead Austin Aries will face Davey Richards. 3) Austin Aries defeats Davey Richards. Richards used a ton of headbutts, german suplexes, and a crossface. Acting very Benoit, as was reported in Manhattan. Aries wins with a 450. 4) Roderick Strong defeats Erick Stevens with a Gibson Driver to give the NRC a 2-1 victory. AWESOME match, and a total stiff chop fest. Strong was bleeding from the chest. 5) ROH World Championship: Takeshi Morishima retains the ROH World Championship over Bryan Danielson via ref stoppage. Morishima continued pummeling Danielson's eye until the referee stopped the match. 6) ROH World Tag Team Championship Ladder Match: The Briscoes retain the ROH Tag Tam Championships in what was described as "The greatest match I've ever seen in my life. Too many spots to name. Package piledriver on a ladder as well as a Jay Driller. The scary thing about Mark Briscoe's injury is that they made an angle out of his concussion by having Generico and Steen do all their crazy headdrop suplexes on him, just weeks after the botched SSP.

This Danielson pirate has potential you know. There's just one thing missing. Do you guys reckon he could grow a beard? Didn't Danielson used to have a pirate gimmick back in the northwest? The Dagger or some shit. I remember Jack Evans bringing out a picture of it at Survival of the Fittest 04, trying to embarass Danielson, which in turn caused Danielson to tap Evans to the nastiest bearhug in recorded history.

I think Roddy just acts that way when he's a heel because he was nice to the guys I sat with at Showdown in Motown when they asked for more backbreakers.

In kayfaybe, Danielson feels that Morishima has "his" belt and had no qualms about making that fact known, even going as far as to pose with the belt while Morishima was fighting Nigel McGuinness. Morishima felt that Danielson was disrespecting his status as champion. I guess it was just supposed to be them trying to prove themselves.

I thought it was a really good match. The near fall after the Shining Wizard/Bulldog Combo was awesome. It just makes me wonder what the hell took so long for them to have a match like that. I guess they did have some chemistry after all.

Its really kind of hard to protect yourself from diving off the top rope, my degree in junk physics leads me to believe that someone diving from however high the top rope is, onto a mat/person, and leading with their head could result in said person getting a concussion

Looks pretty cool. I really like the story when I read it last year in English. Too bad we only read about the fight with Grendel and his mama.

That Half Nelson/Exploder trade off was ridiculous. I remember an AJ Styles/Jeff Jarrett match where AJ enziguris Jarrett's guitar and Jarrett just stands there in disbelief, allowing AJ to roll him up and win the title. I also used to hate when Billy Gunn and Mankind used to pretend chairs were lightsabers.

That's very true, I mean, aside from possibly being on steroids, CM Punk looks like he's recovering from a 3 day party most of the time. And another person who seems to be getting a free pass is Matt Hardy, what makes people think he's not on steroids? Sure he's not built like Lashley or Cena, but that doesn't mean a thing... I always had this feeling that Punk was straight edge when he was younger, but realized how stupid he was and decided to use it as his gimmick while he was training to be a wrestler. There's no way that guy doesn't do something with all the crazy drunks he hangs out with.

I was reading the ROH messages boards and I guess JIMMMY RAAAAAAAAAVE~! got signed to a contract. I was trying to find somewhere to confirm it, but I guess Gabe deleted all the threads about it because of the messy split Rave had with ROH.

I work at Hollywood Video, so I get free rentals. I only usually rent games. There's one movie that I must get because I love terrible movies so much. It's called the Gingerdead Man with Gary Busey. We only have one copy of it so I can never get a chance to rent it.

At ROH's first Detroit show I went up to the concession stand to order a burger and up walks BJ Whitmer. The bastard ordered about 6 cheeseburgers. It was outlandish.

Piledriver dangerous! The last two matches were said to be fantastic. Claudio had to have cemented his spot as a top guy if the match is as good as it's said to be. Albright has a snowball's chance in hell of beating 'Shima tomorrow.
