    Dave Meltzer's Vengeance Review

Please excuse my ignorance, but why does Meltzer put the wrestler's real names next to their wrestling name?

    WWE Raw V.S. Smackdown!

Yes, he is. I wish they would add realease Dragon and Tiger Suplexes in this game. EVERY wrestling game has those moves. Since they aren't really adding anything new, they should really work on adding more moves and tidying up all the animations that've been in since Smackdown 1.

Arm Breaker Inoki broke Tiger Jeet Singh's arm with this move and using the corner post. It is memorable that Inoki used this move on Andre's wood-like arm. Shin'ya Hashimoto also uses this move. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Achilles' Tendon Hold When Inoki wrestled the UWF representative Yoshiaki Fujiwara, the match was called "Origin" versus "Main" of this move. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abisegeri (front rolling kick) A koppo move which Inoki started using for the mixed match against Leon Spinks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ali Kick (low kick) This was named after Inoki's low kicks into Muhammad Ali's leg, which caused a big injury to Ali. It is really effective although it is not as "theoretical" as the kicks by UWF guys. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Antonio Driver In his early days, this was Inoki's finisher which he used to defeat Johnny Valentine on the opening card of Tokyo Pro-Wrestling. The move was abandoned after he returned to the J.W.A. and became a "phantom" move. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reversed Indian Death Lock Although this wasn't one of his finishers, it was a show point in his prime when Inoki put this move on the opponent and appeals to the audience. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- wakigatame (also known as "Fujiwara armbar") Inoki used this move to become the first wrestler to defeat Andre the Giant via submission. A very necessary move against the bigger competitors. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cross Arm Scissors Originally a judo move which Inoki mastered in the series of the mixed martial arts matches. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enzuigiri (medulla oblongata cutter) As the legendary TV announcer Ichiro Furutachi called it, "the enzuigiri to survive", this move helped Inoki in many matches. Inoki first came up with this move for the match against Ali but wasn't allowed when Ali's party complained after seeing it in the sparring. Inoki tried to use it in a match against Chuck Wepner but fails. The first successful attempt was shown in the match against Kim Klokeid. He also beautifully showed it in his retirement match against Don Frye. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rolling Leglock Hold This is a rolling move using a strong bridge. Inoki pinned Karl Gotch when he teamed with Seiji Sakaguchi against Gotch and Lou Thesz. Tatsumi Fujinami also uses this move often. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sickle Hold This move follows Indian deathlock. He reversed this move when Hiroshi Hase used this on him at Tokyo Dome. Keiji Mutoh(Great Muta) also uses this move. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Key Lock This is a submission move to lock arm. It was memorable when Inoki was lifted up after putting this move on Andre or Gotch. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- German Suplex Hold It is known as "The Art of Pro-Wrestling." The move Inoki put on Strong Kobayashi was not beautiful, but Inoki's both legs were up for a moment as he had to hold Kobayashi's whole weight only with his neck, and it is known as "The Legendary German Suplex." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cobra Twist (abdominal stretch) This was his finisher before he mastered the octopus/fylfot hold. It was said that Inoki mastered the fylfot hold after he saw Giant Baba using the cobra twist. He used two versions of this move. One of them was to use both arms to hold the opponent's neck, and the other was to lock the opponent's right arm. Inoki has a strong emotion on this match as he used this move against Willie Williams in a "limited finisher match" during the Final Count Down. This was also the finisher of his retirement match. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diving Knee Drop One of few flying moves by Inoki. Just like he used it against Ric Flair in Pyong Yang, he often used this as a finisher. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Double Arm Sulex (butterfly suplex) One of big moves for Inoki, which he also used to throw the big body of Bruiser Brody. During the match against Billy Robinson, Inoki intentionally used this move, which was Robinson's finisher. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Choke Sleeper His finisher in final days. Inoki says this isn't actually a choke. Choking (holding throat) is illegal in pro-wrestling although holding veins in the neck isn't. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Drop Kick Although this move is in a shadow of enzuigiri, Inoki is a good at this move as well. He gave this move vertically onto Andre's face. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back Drop (back suplex) Inoki's style was the same as Thesz's "throwing with belly". It was memorable that Inoki defeated Willen Ruska after using this move three times continuously. It is also famous that Inoki beautifully threw Bruiser Brody with this. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Slapping Along with knuckle punch, this is one of Inoki's important moves. In his 30th anniversary match, he hit Vader away to the outside the ring only with one slapping. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brain Buster (vertical suplex) One of Inoki's big moves which he also used to throw the big body of Stan Hansen -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fylfot Hold (octopus hold) Mastered directly from Karl Gotch. Inoki's most popular move, which is also known as Antonio Special. It was originally called "octopus hold" but was renamed in the public votes. The most memorable scene was when he defeated Chris Markoff in the final of the 11th Annual World League with this move. Although many wrestlers use this move, the opponents say Inoki's version is unique. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bow-pulling Straight Punch Inoki's unique knuckle punch which he throws after a big motion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bow and Arrow This popular move also follows Indian Death Lock in Inoki's many matches -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reverse Suplex Power testing by holding each other's both hands, then into the bridge. When he gets up, the opponent puts him into a reverse suplex. This is indeed the origin of New Japan

    WWE Raw V.S. Smackdown!

"...established industry stars..." What does that mean? More carbon-copy nu-metal junk? It's probably better than the generic music we've been gettin since Smackdown 1, although some of the BGMs (or is it BGM songs?) weren't that bad on that version.

    WWE Raw V.S. Smackdown!

I have no clue why they would put in a freaking Parking Lot Brawl match when I can just do that in a Hardcore match. The idea of having licensed music is quite interesting, however.

Indy Wrestlers you do like...but why?

Bryan Danielson. He's just a bad motherfucker and he's got a cool finisher to boot. This guy has put on more great matches in his short career then most wrestlers have in their ENTIRE career.

    Most Dastardly Heel Acts

In the first round of the 32 Man world title tournament in WCW, Sting comes out and hits Brain Knobbs with a bat BEFORE the bell rings. The referee, who had his back turned the whole time, calls for the bell and sees Knobbs laid out which causes the ref to make this hilarious face. Heel Sting did some pretty funny shit.

    WWE Match Reviews

AJ Styles vs The Hurricane w/ Mighty Molly from an episode of Metal. This match took place in January of 2001 The match begins with Hurricane doing his goofy handshake/thumb raise thing. Styles pushes him and gets booed by the crowd. Hurricane locks Styles in a headlock, but AJ fights his way out. AJ whips Hurricane to the ropes and gets knocked over by a shoulder block. Hurricane does more of his super hero poses and runs off the ropes. Styles leapfrogs over Hurricane and hits him with a shoulderblock. Styles mocks Hurricane and does some of his poses, only to get booed by the crowd again. Styles hits the ropes and gets leveled by Hurricane's leaping clothesline. Hurricane hits a hiptoss on Styles, and he sells it like death. Hurricane nails a nice headscissor takedown as he gains the upperhand in the match. Hurricane throws Styles into the corner and throws some right hands while doing his thumbs up pose. He then wraps Styles' arms around his throat, kicks his legs out and locks in a Straight Jacket Camel Clutch. Styles manages to stand up and throw Hurricane over his head. Styles, whose arms are stilled locked up by The Hurricane, delievers a nasty knee drop to get his arms free. Both men are stunned for a moment until Styles picks Hurricane up and drops him on his head with a brainbuster. Styles only gets a two count as Molly looks on worried. Styles locks in a chinlock on Hurricane until Hurricane elbows out of it. Styles clubs Hurricane in the neck and hits him with a stiff right hand. Styles whips Hurricane off the ropes and goes for a roundhouse kick. Hurricane ducks under the kick and goes for the Hurricane Chokeslam. Styles elbows out and goes for a back suplex. Hurricane flips out and hits a jumping neckbreaker. Hurricane gets up and poses AGAIN as Molly looks on very pleased with Hurricane's comeback. Hurricane hits Styles with some right hands. Hurricane sends Styles of the ropes and tosses him with a BAAAAAAAAACK BODY DROP~! Hurricane only gets a two count off the move. Styles counters a Hurricane irish whip into the corner. Styles charges and gets an elbow for his trouble. Hurricane goes up top and hits the OverCast neckbreaker. Hurricane poses more as he waits for Styles to get up. Hurricane sets up for the Eye of the Hurricane. Styles counters with knees to the head. Styles gets whipped to the corner and Hurricane runs right into a kick. Hurricane turns around and gets a super kick. Molly does not look too happy about Styles' comeback. Styles goes up top and goes for the Shooting Styles Press. Hurricane rolls out of the way and Styles airballs the move. Hurricane stalks Styles as he comes to. Hurricane kicks him in the stomach. And he hits the Vertebreaker. It does the trick everytime and I hear it'll bend your spine. Styles ain't gettin up from that. 1-2-3 and Hurricane picks up the win. This is a decent match from one of the many shows WWF used to have on the weekend. And it's a good match to see AJ Styles before he became, "Phonomenal".

    Fantastic Four Cast...

The cast is full now: Michael Chiklis .... Ben Grimm/The Thing Chris Evans .... Johnny Storm/The Human Torch Ioan Gruffudd .... Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic Jessica Alba .... Sue Storm/Invisible Girl Ioan Gruffudd is the only guy I haven't heard of, is he any good? Gruffudd was pretty good as Horatio Hornblower in the "Horatio Hornblower" movies on A & E, but those are the only movies I've ever seen him in.

    Land of the Dead...

the difference though is that in 28 days later it was just regular people infected with a virus, however in the Dead series it is actual DEAD PEOPLE coming back to life, that is why I am wondering if for the new sequel, it will be revealed that the dead have stopped coming back to life, and they just have to deal with the rotting corpses that are still left, because you'd think with the amount of people who die everyday, there would be plenty of fresh new zombies resurfacing everyday. I'm sure there's ways you could get around that. When someone dies you could cut their brain out or decapitate the body.

    Diva Contest a Work?

Yeah..... All these Divas are doing is taking away from wrestling time. For every second those plastics are in the ring, it could go to Benoit wrestling in a match. I hate women's wrestling, especially "divas" who don't wrestle. What is the point of them in there? They don't do anything except waste TV time and give the King something to woo at. When was the last time you've seen a women's wrestling match get **? Other than the Trish/Steph match from NWO, I have never been entertained by them. I watch wrestling for WRESTLING, not women with fake boobs role around in the ring. Do you mean a women's match period? Or just in North America?

    WWE Match Reviews

The wrestlemania match is the best of Lesnar and Angle's matches. Their other matches were also pretty good but I don't think they had the drama or build up that this one had. Their Wrestlemania match would be just that much better had Brock hit the Shooting Star Press for the finish.

    Stuff that makes you confused...

I was watching the cage match between AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett last night and I was confused by a few things. 1. Why was Jarret hiding weapons if the match was no DQ? 2. Why did the referee tell JJ he couldn't take the guitar into the cage if it was no DQ?
