I think guys just tapping out and taking pinfalls would just loud bizzare in any wrestling match. The average person dosn't put that much thought into watching pro wrestling, and the live crowd would be confused as hell without an announcer to explain the stradegy.

Let's be honest here, if anyone other than Punk was Champ, everyone on the board would be begging to strike while the Iron is hot with Jericho. I havn't seen a heel get this much heat in years, I'm glad they're letting Jericho carry the ball. It's not like Punk was loosing anyheat in his underdog role to begin with. He's still one of the main event level faces on Raw.

But then that means THE Brian Kendrick is a recongized world champ.

And don't forget Lieberman was such a fucking awesome VP candidate 8 years ago. I missed the part about how he sunk the Gore campaign. I don't know. He has his pros and cons. He's too uptight about video game violence, which I can understand, but I don't share his view. Lieberman sure as hell alienated enough liberal voters into voting for Nader. Another reason to feel sorry for Bristol is that she is getting forced to marry in her teens to keep up some absurd family values facade for her mom. 17 is way too young to have a kid, but she made a mistake and wants to keep the kid. I'm sure the baby will be born into a loving and supportive family. 17 or 18 is also way too young to get married, and she's stuck with the douche until her mom gets out of the national political picture.

Given the long quality build for Jericho and Shawn, it really feels like it should be the main event show closer and not a mid-card placement between the SDScramble and a woman's title match. I was about to write the same thing. HBK-Y2J is the obvious MOTN and is going to have WAY more heat than any of the Scrambles, which have the potential to be heatless clusterfucks (or gimmick might work, I'll reserve judgment). This is the first time a non-title match has had a real main event feel in years.

Apparantly Harpoon is based out of Vermount. I guess it had a way smaller distrubution area than I thought. I thought Harpoon was like Sam Adams, a quasi-micro brew that one could get just about anywhere.

I don't get why Huckabee never got serious consideration. He's got real conservative credentials, would bring out the Evangalicals, and I think he's a down right decent human despite having totally opposite of my political views. He's the one guy I was worried McCain would have picked because it would actually help his campaign.

Pumped

The first thought I had concerning the Veep debates is that Biden is going to rape her. For a guy running neck and neck, McCain is coming off as super desperate with this pick. I don't think this is going to hurt McCain significantly, but it sure as hell dosn't help. Such pure pandering undermines McCain's "maverick" image. He's old enough that pepole are going to be worried he might croak during his term, and Palin does not look ready to be Commander and Chief. Any Hillary supporter who isn't on board with Obama at this point would have never signed on. Plus, their main talking point is that Hillary was much more experienced and qualified to be president.

I note remember anything with Lawler before the election, but he would not shut up about Gore during the whole Flordia fiasco. Pretty much every heel was as big as a "Sore-Loserman" as Gore. I don't think anyone who could be influenced by a wrestling colorman would have voted for Gore anyways, they'd be in the "I'd like to have a beer with Bush" crowd to begin with.
