I had Maven and Hurricane come out to Kent State when I went there. They were going to have "highlights" on Raw, but the turn out for the event was piss poor and they didn't show it. Hurricane pretty much just signed autographs, Maven was pretty outgoing and talked to me about the Cubs as I was wearing a Cubs hat.

When has it even been wondered whether or not the wrestlers "know" there are cameras on them? Of course they do; they talk directly into them sometimes. I've accepted the TV cameras are going to be anywhere that's convientent for the storyline. How many times have we seen someone tell a secert right in front of the cameras?

My impression from living in NE Ohio for 4 years is that most pepole are over the move, but pissed off Model's Ravens ended up winning a Super Bowl. there's always some token State Department report criticizing China's human rights, but other than that it's pure silence from DC about China's atrocious human rights record. Forced migration, suppression of ethnic minorities, and shit loads of summery executions is the kind of shit that led the USSR to be labeled the "Evil Empire" or the "Gulag Archipelago." I don't want an Olympic boycott because it just hurts athletes that have been training for years, but I hope any country that cares the least bit about human rights will boycott the opening ceremony. The IOC should have never helped legitimize this government by awarding them the Olympics. Beijing deserves to be embarrassed more than ever. Fuck China.
