I know the lawyer and Chris’s Dad are going to do everything to mitigate the situation, but I really resent the whole depression excuse. I’ve been suffering from depression for the past 12 years of my life, and in High School I really had to deal with the whole “I could see him shooting up the school” stigma. It’s obvious that Benoit was depressed. Feeling down might make you want to kill yourself, but your not going to kill your wife and child. I hate all mental illness being lumped together. Shit, when I told my current Dr. that I was depressed, his response was to ask “how severe, suicidal, homicidal?” Suicidal a fair question, but I never get the link to depression and homicide. Sure depressed people commit homicide, but they have other mental conditions as well. I think the concussions, the roids, the pain killers, and the depression all contributed to the murder/suicide, but I still find nothing to led me to believe that Chris did not know right from wrong. He’s fully responsible for his actions. I haven’t watched a Benoit match since the murder/suicide. I was a huge Benoit mark, and whenever they showed footage of Benoit in any news reports, I just felt like I wish this wasn’t true. This guy was an underdog who got over out of pure skill and love for the biz. But he’s still a monster. I make no excuses for him.

I was actually really into wrestling back in 02-03. I loved the SD! six but I was pretty embrassed to watch Raw with my roomate or pepole on the floor in my dorm. Strangly, the non wrestling fans were into shit like HLA, Katie Vick, ect.

I posted this stance in another thread, but given the snarky tone here it really deserves reiterating. Are people cutting Booker slack because he's a net favorite? Yes. However, is his stance understandable when obvious juicers like Batista are in no trouble, and the boss himself is jacked out of his mind? Yes. You don't punish people because they look like they might be on something. Batista is subject to same rules and policies as everyone else, and as far as we know, hasn't tested positive yet. As for McMahon, he's not on the payroll anymore as an active wrestler and is therefore not subject to testing. He's not pushing steroids on people. You can't assign blame to him because some net favorite got in trouble. I'm assuming 90% of the Roster is on something at this point. Some like Trips and Batista can afford stuff that's hard to be detected, others must just be clever enough to get around drug tests, at least for know. edit: 2,500 posts, woo hoo is guess.

I think watching Big Daddy V squash jobbers is fun and all, but I hate whenever he actually has to put on a competitive match. This is going to suck big time.

I watched this a bar w/o any sound. Without the crowd reactions, I couldn't rate Orton-Cena above ***1/2, and that's being pretty generous. It was far from a Smarky crowd, but 80% of the pepole there were pissed as hell Cena retained, and it was X-Pac heat, not I can't wait to see Cena get his ass kicked heat.
