MLS is just trying to a form a niche for itself in the sports marketplace and more or less succeding. With the nation's changing demographics, soccer is only going to become more popular. Soccer isn't going to be huge in the US in the forseeable future, but it only has an upside. Signing Becks will help at the gate and gives the MLS a little buzz.

Has the WWE folder had a thread this long since the 1st ECW on Sci Fi? I have the bad feeling Vince want's Cena-Kahli to be Hogan-Andre part II. As bad as TNA has been booked and as pathetic as VKM is, I would have been chanting both if I went to this Raw.

I was going to skip Raw and watch the National Championship, but w/ HHH out I'm really curious where WWE goes creativly. However, knowing WWE they'll probably just throw Flair into DX and continue DX vs. Rated RKO fued.

They'll put togeather some pointless Diva contest. Lots of backstage interviews. Maybe Hacksaw will come out for no reason so Euguene can attack him. Crime Tyme will rob someone. DX gets a 10 minute intro.

I did think that LeBatard had a little bit of a point. Football is a violent game and having some legitmently violent guys on your team is not nessacarily a bad thing. The exchange w/ Kornheiser was entertaining, but I think Kornheiser looks like more of the jack ass for not letting the subject rest. It made me not hate LeBatard for a few minutes. What's David Holmes up too? He owned on the faux PTI on Dream Job. Way better than anyone else on the PTI B team.

I go to Orlando quite often, so if I could score some tix I'd be sure to go. But is there another somewhat big facility other than TD Waterhouse Centre? I was there last year for the RAW/SD! taping the day after the Royal Rumble in Miami (which I also attended) and it seemed rather smallish, specially if you consider doing a WrestleMania there. I know UCF is building a stadium that seats around 40k in the near future, that seems like a good size for WM. The 70K Citrus Bowl is there too. I would guess there's too much potential for rain to have an outdoor event in Florida.

The thing is that Vince is desperate for main stream media attention to help his ego. He wants to think he's part of main stream entertainment and not a wrestling promoter. K-Fed lets WWE get blurbs in stuff like EW and ESPN, and Vince feels validated.

Lashley needs to turn heel and get someone to be his mouthpiece. However, with the speculation RVD is going to leave WWE after his contract is up, he's jobbing cleanly tonight. If anyone turns heel its going to be RVD.

I'm glad I fallow an AFC team because I would lose it if I had to deal with Fox more than four times a year. The amount of unessacary graphics and sound effects is insanely irritating.
