He really looks like he should be playing back-up tambourine for Keith Partridge.

Still one of my five most patriotic moments ever. The best part is that the crowd is so loud before Bret's entrance is music is almost completely drowned out. You can hear very small pieces of it right when they start their walk to the ring, and notice the HUUUUGE smile on Pillman's face, probably one of the last great moments he was involved in before his death.

It just occured to me that Summerslam was in DC last year on the 21st, with Batista playing hometown hero and viciously destroying JBL in what amounted to a world championship squash on pay television. Is it just a coincidence, or have they always spent mid-/late August around the DC area?

That's the point I was trying to make, you mistake of a childbirth. I was trying to say that just because everyone has heard of it doesn't not make it a cult, be it of the film, religious, or whatever variety. I stated that it has to do with what kind of following it has. Lovecraft was putting forth the argument that general public awareness is what differentiates a "cult movie" from just being a movie, and I disagreed. I simply went with the religious angle because that is where the film term is derived from.

I thought that was just another way of saying "return rate" but instead of getting a total refund, you only get a percentage of what you originally paid. -
It has been said that he was interested in many child murders, spending time in California learning about one (I can't remember which exactly) and could have decided that he would rather go back to the US and end up with an insanity or not guilty plea on this charge rather than spend some time in a Thai prison for child porn charges.

Everyone's heard of Heaven's Gate, does that not make it a cult (well, not anymore I guess)? But it was at the time, and is still considered one. Same goes with cult movies. They are movies that had a following of devout fans. It's something that is not meant for everyone and has that core group of supporters. I don't know if SoaP is a cult movie, but things like RHPS are and TCM was back in the day before it became such a favorite among the general populus. I do agree that it is thrown around a wee too much though.

Rocket Red, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold... man, I would HATE to be Black Adam right about now...they are just knocking off anyone with a color in their names. RIP Booster. I hope we see you again someday.

At the time it came out, it was considered the end-all be-all cause it was one of the first "next gen" RPGs... it does not hold up to time very well. Some of the FMV work is great (from what I remember), but the other graphics are fairly poor. Although that could just be that graphics now are better for the most part. I enjoyed it alot, and spent a long time to beat it. I thought some of the twists were awesome and the opening would probably still give me chills. The FMV of the famous death also hit me good, even though i had that part spoiled a few weeks earlier by a schoolmate. -

What plotline? Vincent goes around the world trying to figure out why everything has just started sucking for no reason? Does it end with Yuffie in a pagoda masturbating over copies of the original FF7 ending? -
A middle-aged second grade teacher in THAILAND being held on sex charges... ..........I wonder what he was doing..............

I'd rather run around as Vincent, Barrett, or even Tifa than be fucking Yuffie (and to a lesser extent Cat Sith). Red XIII was cool, but you can't really make a shooter with him as the MC. -
Who are some of Vince's favorite superstars..

BikerTaker was fairly over...but that was mostly a) because it was Taker and b) because he was and always is booked strong. Even if he seems to be booked weak he always comes back in the end. -
It's time to play... 13 Match Wrestlemania Russian Roster Roulette.... Raw: Shelton Benjamin © vs. Johnny Jeter - IC Championship Umaga vs. Edge - Umaga turns face after being eliminated from the Rumble thanks to the McMahons realizing they can't control their monster. Edge is called in and it becomes undefeated WM streak vs. undefeated match streak. John Cena vs. Ken Doane - Doane disappears from the Squad and reappears at the Rumble, taking Cena out of it to prove that he is more than "just some cheerleader". Mickie James © vs. Beth Pheonix - Women's Championship HHH © vs. HBK - HBK's final hoorah in the main event, HHH continues his WM losing streak by giving HBK the title in a well fought match. Cena appears during the celebration and attacks HBK, finally turning heel. Smackdown: Batista © vs. Randy Orton - Orton, sadly, wins the Rumble and jumps to Smackdown, last eliminating HBK. Undertaker vs. Ken Kennedy - Kennedy is defeated here after picking up an upset victory at No Way Out (and after eliminating Taker from the Rumble) thanks to Taker being busted open by Kennedy backstage earlier in the night. Kennedy attacks the cut like an animal and Taker simply passes out, allowing Kennedy to pick up a major upper-card win. His loss at WM will be more hard fought than most of the other Taker WM matches, with Kennedy trying to bust Taker open once again and this time failing to get the win. Bobby Lashley © vs. Fit Finlay - US Championship Chavo Guerrero © vs. Mitch (w/Nick & Mike) - The last three SS members jump to Smackdown, bash the cheerleader thing, but stay together as a team and Mitch ends up with a CW title shot at WM. Kendrick/London © vs. Pitbulls vs. Teacher's Pets - Tag Team Elimination ECW: RVD © vs. Big Show (w/Bashams) - ECW Championship Test vs. Knox (Test turns face after allowing Kelly to strip) Interpromotional Booker T vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk vs. Sabu vs. Carlito - MITB TLC Match. Booker T and Matt Hardy play heel. Sabu/Booker/Carlito likely winners. Match Order & Times (considering a 4 hour show) Kendrick/London vs. Pitbulls vs. Teacher's Pets (:16) Test vs. Mike Knox (:10) Shelton Benjamin vs. Jeter (:17) Lashley vs. Finlay (:15) Chavo vs. Mitch (:15) Umaga vs. Edge (:15) Cena vs. Doane (:17) RVD vs. Show (:14) HOF ceremony (:05) MITB TLC (:21) Mickie James vs. Beth Pheonix (:14) Undertaker vs. Kennedy (:18) HHH vs. HBK (:24) Batista vs. Orton (:19) That's 3:40 of action, add in the video packages and it would probably come in right around the four hour mark.

I'm with Zack on the Jarrett failing the test deal. His character seems to be a parody of himself right now. Cornette having the fans choose who Jarrett faces, or what stipulations there are for failing the test and "the fans will get their chance to get even with Jarrett", is just furthering the parody. It's like they know everyone hates the hell out of Jarrett, so thier making that his character. Will they suddenly start promoting a CYBER SUNDAY (CY-UNDAY~?) PPV where (for the first time ever in the great history of our great sport) the fans will get to VOTE ONLINE~! -

I don't laugh like that. Except out of mocking. I despise typing "lol" and it pained me to do it there. If I would have had a joke for the TLC comment, I probably would have made it by now. -
