Smackdown Spoilers from England...
The Amazing Rando replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
A tournament final should not be advertised as a HIAC. And even if it's not advertised it should not be turned into it, regardless of the feud. Championship Tournament Finals are about who the best wrestler of the company/brand is, and by throwing in that kind of stipulation is just takes away from it. I mean, if Taker wins, you can argue Orton could have won a ladder match or a streetfight or a last man standing match (this is in the marks eyes), and if Orton wins you can say the same thing about Taker. If it's just a regular one-on-one "lets see who is better" match, and the finish is clean (fuck Cowboy Bob), then it leaves really no argument that Orton or Taker SHOULD be champion. A gimmick completely screws that up. -
I hope so. I just want her to turn to the screen and start yelling "STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" like Juliette Lewis. I believe sometime soon Richard is going to have a heart attack. Nothing fatal, but enough to shake shit up. Michel is probably my favorite of the secondary characters, especially after the episode where he was left at Lorelai's while Emily came over. Just reading a magazine, no eye contact, and completely pissing Emily off. It was grand.

1. As I mentioned before, I think it would be sort of a punishment, but it would NOT put Edge on SD permanently. Again, it would be Teddy saying that if Edge wants a chance to get at the Champion (who it is makes no difference) then he will have to earn it. His MITB shot should only be good for the champ of the brand he is on (which is Raw) and Teddy can come out and say this as a Board Of Directors decision or something. He can face JBL because not only does JBL want another title shot, he wants to make himself and his brand look good. 2. As for Kennedy/Rey, I was simply hoping that Rey could do his best 'peril' play and make Kennedy look fairly good but still defeat him with his veteran skills at the end of the bout. It would put over Kennedy but I don't think it would make Rey look weak at all if he ended up winning cleanly and convincingly after a tough fight. 3. Lashley-Hardy - gah, well, you mentioned Hardcore Holly is still employed right? Let the big angry black man shut down Hardcore in the opener. Rookie vs. Veteran style. I just didn't want to give Holly a PPV match over a guy like Matt Hardy, but he doesn't really have anything to do. Maybe a CW Title contenders match with Spanky vs. Nunzio vs. Hardy? Again, if Batista is healthy, a Batista/Rey, Kennedy/Hardy, Spanky/Nunzio match could be a good trifecta instead of the way they are now. I am just trying to work around Batista's possible absense.

Smackdown Spoilers from England...

Well, the WWE also booked Katie Vick, Bossman/Al Snow, The Al Wilson Saga, BikerTaker (sorry, the premise is BIZARRE), and completely screwed up the money angle that could have been the InVasion. We might not be tested, but we aren't complete dolts either. I am one to say that it would be EXTREMELY hard to take Rey as a credible champ for the reasons King Cucaracha mentioned. He is too much on playing defense and getting destroyed. That's more of a HBK-heel type of character, but he is the super plucky face that overcomes the odds. An odd-beater shouldn't be one of the two biggest champs in the country. The ONLY way I can see it working is if they turn Rey into a VERY SERIOUS face that is out there to win and be the best, and isn't about playing the crowd and popping the fans. He can keep those moves, Yes, but he gets too sidetracked when his character *should* be about hitting everything he can and keeping moving. When he pauses before the 619 to play it up, it takes away from the rest of the match where he darted like a pinball. If he cut promos where he stated that his desire was to be a World Champion and he was never given the shot in WCW or anywhere else and he started CONVINCINGLY beating guys (Yeah, Rey won one of the bigger Summerslam matches, but it took like 3 extra people - two women and a child actually, to help him do it). They need to put Rey over as a guy that is more focused than he ever has been and is about the WIN more than the fans. He won't lose heat over that, and nobody will boo him. That is about the only, and I mean ONLY, way that he could ever come close to being a credible and worthwhile champion that won't look out of place and won't always seem like he's "in peril" when he shouldn't be. Like I said before, the only champs that should be "in peril" are the chickenshit heel types. -
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isn't the PPV this Sunday though? Are they going to continue these types of matches? And judging by the way both guys are currently being booked, Show should leave Rey in a heap again unless there is UBER-FERENCE, which simply can not happen every time a Raw person wrestling an SD person. Early Prediction: No Contest.

Smackdown Title situation updated
The Amazing Rando replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I am one to think Edge will somehow end up with the belt over there while they elevate guys like Kennedy and Lashley and possibly Rey (a little more anyway) and could probably give the belt to Benoit. If it went Benoit -> Orton -> Batista -> Edge -> And then either Benoit, Batista, or a new up-and-coming FACE, I wouldn't mind. If it goes to either of the established guys instead of the face, though, I could see them dropping it to an up-and-coming heel by Summerslam of next year. Maybe even one that hasn't been introduced yet (but that's a long shot). EDIT: Sorry about the double post. -

He technically didn't cheat during the bullrope match with Eddy. He won fair and square. It just pissed the marks off that it had to happen that way. Which was great in getting some heat. -
The storyline has been on and off with that, but I believe the last time it was seriously brought up it seemed that it was only meant for the champ of the brand he was on. Since he would technically be a Raw Superstar stuck on Smackdown, Teddy can simply say that it's void and if he WANTS the champ he has to earn his spot just like everybody else.

Why don't they do something with Edge on that show if he is healthy by then? Bischoff can simply say that he sent Edge to SD for a reason, and Teddy Long can say that him and Bischoff agreed that Edge could wrestle a few matches OR BE FIRED. If Batista is still injured, which is likely, then Edge can go after some of the other guys. He has history with Benoit, Rey Mysterio, and Hardy (though I don't want to deal with that again). Or if they want to really try to test out the waters, have JBL play face a bit in a match with Edge. I bet he'd get cheered. They could concievably do: Orton vs. Taker - HIAC for World Title JBL vs. Edge - Number 1 Contenders Match (Edge can demand it) Booker vs. Benoit - US Title Ken Kennedy vs. Rey Mysterio - US Contendership MNM vs. The Mexicools - Tag Titles Juvi vs. London - CW Title and for an opener... Lashley vs. Matt Hardy

That might be in poor taste.

Smackdown Spoilers from England...
The Amazing Rando replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
As an ammendment to my previous post... I just went through the rosters and not cutting out commentators, announcers, interviewers, and the like... I was able to cut 25 people from both the rosters combined (23 if you don't count the Dicks, which I also cut). I also cut Sharmell and Stacy, because they are both useless. With the exactly 50 wrestlers I had left, I was able to create divisions for both shows that were equal... Both shows would have a 6 person deep world title/upper card scene, a 6 person deep IC/US title scene, a 4 tag team deep TT scene (reusing a few other guys - for example: Raw would have Carlito/Masters & Kane/TBS remaining teams, Smackdown would have Spanky/London, the Mexicools, and Burchill/Regal as teams while using those guys in other divisions). Raw would also have 9 women to use for there division (wrestling ability notwithstanding - not counting Maria) and SD would have an 11 member CW division (which includes all three mexicools, and Rey being both a part of the CW division and the IC title division, which I think he could be good for). 25 people a show, not counting Bisch, Long, and the other various' that I mentioned at the beginning isn't THAT bad, and can be spread out and promoted over 3 hours of show time (Raw/Heat, SD/Velocity) and it would simply require some time (probably before a commercial break) to let people know what happened on the internet only shows. As people retiring and/or got injured, etc...people from OVW could be brought up for trials, even as jobbers to the established. All I would say is that the established vet should make the "n00b" look as good as possible so that when that person makes a full time leap they will have a little GOOD exposure than "Oh, he lost to Lashley in 45 seconds a few weeks ago". I would also like to say that my rosters do move some people around (The Cruisers, Conway, and Edge to SD and the Women, Kennedy, and MNM to Raw). -

Their roster is way too large, but with so many good wrestlers and or "drawing" wrestlers, it's hard to cut out a large enough percentage to be able to shuffle new faces into the uppercard and be able for fans to connect with lower guys. They could cut out the horrible Basham, Heidenreich (and Animal), Viscera, the HeartThrobs, Stevie Richards and Simon Dean (yeah I know, but Stevie's fairly useless at this point anyway in WWE land and even as Nova the fans probably wouldn't care), Snitsky, Tomko, maybe one or two more women, Sylvan Grenier, Orlando Jordan, Rosey (sorry again), Hardcore Holly, and a few other of the deadweights and have about 40-45 guys and have a fairly deep tag division (about 7 teams if you keep TBS/Kane together for a while), a decent CW division. Note: that 45 doesn't count the women. But with them it would be like 50-55 tops (not counting Lillian and even Maria). a 55 person roster with 14 of them in tag action (with Kane/TBS also heading into the ME scene after another tag team shows up), a dozen or so cruisers, and an average size women's division could be alright. Putting about 25 people a show and actually using the time to their advantage...it could work. The problem is that you can't have so few tag teams for split brands. But adding more people creates more problems. And would mean cutting guys that people might care about ...though that can be remedied by cutting Val Venis, the other Basham, and even Rene Dupree to try and open up time. (Yeah, I know these are guys they don't use anyway). -

Hell, I'd just like for all of the wrestlers to be around for title matches, I just wouldn't want there to be brawls. BUT, if they were just there at ringside watching and not getting involved that would add to the depth of the match, showing that the other wrestles actually give a shit about who their champion is. -
Maybe they will bring back interviews during the show...OR, there is still time on SD to let everybody talk. I actually am expecting some sort of Raw vs. SD match ON Smackdown. Maybe even Rey vs. Masters. EDIT: Wait...would you actually like to HEAR some of those guys on the mic?

Davari should rap in Farci.

I don't think it's loyalty to Bisch. Brand-loyalty yes, but Bisch-loyalty no. And lately Bisch has been treating his superstars better (except for Cena - who was SD anyway and has consistently and constantly been pissing Bisch off.) As for Big Show and Carlito - well, Carlito probably simply hated Teddy Long because he is a heel. Big Show being a tag champion is about the only reasoning I can come up with. He doesn't really have beef with anybody on the SD team (maybe JBL I guess). On the Smackdown side - I think they are tired of people talking down on them - Booker when he first got there, Bischoff, Edge is doing it now. I think they want to prove themselves. Rey is a good choice since he and Masters have history (whether they won at Taboosday or not), Lashley is out to prove himself, and Orton probably wouldn't have a problem with going against Shawn Michaels again and of course making himself look as good as he can. JBL always wants to make himself look good - and maybe even in the eyes of Teddy Long so he might be able to get another title shot. If Batista happens to be the fifth man somehow, then he definitely wants revenge (i could still see him running in late and piping somebody behind the ref's back - maybe Big Show). If it's Undertaker, that adds a whole new dimension to the story because of Randy Orton. It could be one of those things where Taker is on the far side of the turnbuckle and Orton is on the far side of the other, with Taker just staring him down like "after this.... you are mine" and could even lead to Taker not wanting to tag himself in with Orton in trouble. The other guys in the match might not like it - but who's going to talk back to Taker? I could FULLY see Taker refuse a tag and then have Bob Orton try to get involved. This could be especially useful if Orton goes out first on the SD side. I'd have eliminations be: Carlito Orton Taker (due to Orton attacking Taker on the outside and causing a countout) Masters Rey Kane Lashley TBS (after Batista interference) and then either have JBL or HBK win. It'll probably be HBK though to go off of what happened on Raw, and it'll give Raw a win after their abysmal Taboosday showing.
-
the Bisch/Long match probably won't really be a "match" but more of a pre-ME brawl between the Raw and SD guys. Ya know, since only two or three of the guys involved in the SurSer match can actually TALK, they'd rather have them hype it through vicious brawling (and also, this could be used to show the 5 vs. 4 mentality that might be going on if Batista is out and they haven't announced the replacement.

Just because someone isn't huge(or cut) doesn't mean they aren't on roids. Look at Jamie Noble... I'd wager most of the cruiserweights are on roids because they're trying to bulk up enough so Vince may consider pushing them. The only thing keeping Flair's tits from flopping everywhere is the juice. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Putting orange juice on my nipples only made them tingle with joy, not float. Though I never tried it in the bathtub. I'll be back. EDIT: It made the water all sticky.

It's in Quicktime, and I find it horrible that they play VOLLEYBALL in this.

Oh yes, that's very pleasent. "Timmy, we were going to get you a bicycle, but instead...here's some sphyllis!" Then again, to make it REALLY in the shape of her vagina you'd have to fill it with 17 young men and a puppy. -

it might be Masters. The Smackdown one will feature Edge, Matt Hardy, and Lita...and when you shake it tears, dollar bills, and STDs just go flying in every direction.
