Raw is DOWNRIGHT EPIC!
-
Why? When you're just gonna take it off in a few seconds. If that's the case, then why should any wrestler wear anything other than their tights? Flair has a robe, Morrison has his coat, Miz wears a hat, Cena usually wears a hat, etc. And anyway, it's a BELT. I will say though, if the persona of the character demands them not wear it...or if they are a big fat fuck...then fine. Beth Phoenix and Randy Orton are supposed to be respectful to their titles at they care about. They should wear them.

I hate that entrance. In fact, I don't even like belts just being over the shoulder. PUT IT AROUND YOUR WAIST.
-
It's Disney WORLD, John...
-
It'd be hilarious if Cena gives up his WM title shot tonight and loses, thus setting up the Elimination Chamber.
-
Not only was Orton handed the title, but his reign has almost been as bad as Jericho's was back in the day. He's had one really nice decisive win in his *cough* third reign, and that was Jeff Hardy. At least Jericho could at least claim to have beaten Rock and Austin in one night. Orton beat a tired HHH after losing two hours earlier.

i'll be game, so long as the word limit is low. consider this a probable one-off for now though.

...holy (bleep). If that was who I think it was, I love him mucho. oh, and congrats to the other people. (non-spoiler celebratory stuffz)

Kane vs. HHH was on PPV i think.

Too bad I couldn't send in my loser 2004 one, featuring the final three of Alan, MVS, and Janus. I remember hearing back that it was better than Johnny Dangerous' at the time (although he was entrant 20 or something, maybe like 17, I just remember "it's a bunch of nothing, and then Johnny Dangerous shows up") I mean, I liked what I wrote at the time, but it was definitely "we know you would have gotten called up to the SWF eventually, but the SJL closed so now you have to sharpen your skills by going against really, really good writers". That was a rough year, eight month feud with Landon aside. Every person I wrote against either no-showed, was a n00b like Toxxic (and his n00b-ish ways lasted less time than Charlie Matthews' did in the JL), or completely destroyed me without breaking a sweat. Speaking of, that year got the awesome Grappler CF win and subsequent FTF match that ended with "pop the crowd like a fucking cherry" which is forever one of the greatest written lines in the fed ever.

Didn't that involve Kurt handcuffing Eddy and beating the shit out of him? Between NWO and WMXX, I think?

You talk about the zip code but don't mention godhatesfags.com?

WWE General Discussion - January 2008

What the fuck is he talking about? The show before the PPV was in Beaumont, TX. They were nowhere near Canada. I assume the tights were nowhere near finished and he would've gotten them at the Canadian shows the next month (which I'm pretty sure were canceled due to the situation) If Masters was supposed to get the trunks in Canada, why was he looking for Benoit when he got to this show to get them? -
411 is reporting that word was spread around backstage last night about the release, and that it would probably be "public" by the end of the week.

I think some teachers do have it off, while other school districts use it as a professional day for meetings.

Oddly enough, the last person to retain the championship at WM against the Royal Rumble winner was...HHH. -

Well sometimes I use that as a crutch, for sure, but for at least the Anthony character I do it on purpose. I think it's just a way to keep my head on straight, who knows. I know damn sure that the proofing stage is gonna tear me apart. -

Rumble qualifying matches on house shows exist. Actually, I'm glad they're finally putting emphasis back on house shows since, you know, people actually pay money to attend the events. I still enjoy when they toss in the rare title switch just to keep things interesting. I remember Edge having a short IC reign prior to Summerslam 1998, then losing the belt back to whoever was champion before at the actual PPV. I believe it was Jarrett. Christian beating Booker T for the IC belt at a houseshow in 2003 was interesting as well. Edge won the belt the night before Fully Loaded 99 and then lost it back the next night against Jarrett. -

If Big Show wasn't a Vince guy, I could see them doing the "Heel destroys Face into a DQ" like they did with Umaga a few times. But then that would reek of Vince coming out to restart the match and blah blah blah. Then again, if Vince makes it no disqualification then Hunter can just sledge Show a couple times and then they have a nice story going into the Rumble and then Show and HHH can be two of the six guys for the Chamber next month. -
2001 drives me nuts because there are pretty much two big resets in it, where there are a large number of guys in and then they all go away to pretty much start over. Okay, so Kane coming in at 8 or 9 or whatever isn't a big deal, but before Drew wanders in there had only been like one elimination and then they come rapid fire to set up the Drew/Kane section. I think it also happens later after all the hardcore shenanigans. I'd rather have one or two early guys last to the late 20s and have at least one guy from the early teens make it till after the #30 comes out rather than 10 guys coming in and then a monster to wipe it all out (minus like 3 or so eliminations during the 10), repeat twice more until the final 4-6 are left. 1992 is my favorite, easy. 2004 is a close second.

Kane not keeping the title after the First Blood match (not AS irritating now, because it was part of a larger better storyline, but at the time I was pissed). Kane not defeating HHH in the WHC/IC unification match.
-
nope Jeff got this big push the last 3 weeks Mankind got screwed week after week making it a surprise But, sadly Austin's pop when he ran out to lead to the finish of Foley's win was actually louder than the win itself. I've seen that match a good dozen times at least, and that little moment always saddens me. I would say the loudest pop I ever heard was probably the end of WM20.
