Why does the 4th one say "The Crossface Crippler" if anything it should say "The Canadian Crippler" or "The Crippler Crossface"...

so Matt is officially on Raw now that Lita's gone? Are they going to acknowledge any of that? -

I just noticed... MR KENNEDY~ (Kennedy) was the only heel to actually win his match, and even that was tainted by the after-party. Every other match was won by the Face... Batista, Team Cena, Team DX, Benoit, Mickie James, Team Flair...at the very least they could have given a win to the Squad (maybe in the same fashion as the Harts/Knights, with Kenny being the only Squad guy eliminated, then him coming back and flipping out) and Chavo getting the US title for a few weeks or something. -

Is that the one where Hogan basically carried Flair around the ring to slap the turnbuckles? -

Fairly sure that UT/Austin had that happened and they did the "um, it needs ALOT of blood, to count" I was just thinking that Hogan vs Flair in a steel cage with barb wire. That finished with a pinfall. Wasn't that a mistake though? I am fairly certain that was booked as a "First Blood Match" and then everything just got thrown out the window on the show. -

He's done more to prove himself since his debut than most of the recent "rookies". I mean, he's getting a good push that the crowd is not shitting on (he's getting heel heat, not "fuck this guy" heat) and I would say that shows more potential than even Brock Lesnar had upon his debut (You can most definitely say that it took a good six months before Brock got anything more than "fuck this guy" heat) -

I think I just want the show to be good. SurSer has always been my favorite PPV of the year, and I am always praying that it won't stink. I have missed the "classic" matches, and I'm glad to see them coming back, and even with some of the wrestlers involved only marginally suited to the environment, I always want to see them get some time just because it's like my favorite kind of match outside of the Royal Rumble match. -
Glitch should be the Tin Man's name and Cain the scarecrow's, even if the biblicial implications of the name show that Cain was NOT a farmer. "Glitch" just sounds more metal...

It's not what I would WANT, but that's what could happen just because of the players involved. 25 might be quite the overstatement, but TWELVE? I could see 18. Ten people involved, 9 pinfalls/decisions... I can see at least two or so minutes in between decisions. The sheer amount of action that can be had can keep the match going a little extra without being "torture". Edit: Okay, I included entrances. Still, including them, I could see the match going 18-20. Then again, I don't put it above them to go longer than that either. -

92 minutes of matches? you do know they usually go 150 (2.5 hours) at least. What's the other 58 minutes going to be? promos? Chavo/Benoit - 12 Legends/Squad - 10 Cena/Show - 25 Lita/Mickie - 10 Taker/Kennedy - 15 RKO/DX - 35 Batista/Booker - 18 Buildup Videos - 10 Filler - 5 That's 140 minutes there... 2 hours and 20 minutes. I could see the US Title match, the Legends match, and Cena Show each getting an extra 5 minutes each, giving a total of around 155 minutes, which is more toward the norm. -
but people are forgetting that Hogan DIDN'T NEED THE RUB in 1987. Sure, Andre was that final big obstacle in his face...but he had been in the main events for at least two years at that point. He didn't need it. I'm not trying to EXACTLY compare it, but it's the closest possible thing to it right now in the company. I would also say that I really don't want Taker to lose his streak either, because I've always been a huge Taker fan from back in the day, but IF Vince is wanting him to lose it, I'd much rather see him lose it to someone who is on the verge of breaking out rather than a guy whose been in the main events for two years and who the fans already buy as a main event player and contender.
-
and with Kennedy on the verge of breaking out...that could be Vince's "Hogan/Andre moment" that he seems so desperate to recreate. Except at WM23, a guy like Kennedy could REALLY use it (unlike Hogan 20 years ago) and it could elevate him to be one of the guys that could carry the company for a long stretch as a top heel.
-
It was in a cage, and really didn't make Kane look weak. He got tripped up and MVP was fast enough to squirrel his way out. The fact is that in a straight one-on-one match, MVP is royally screwed, and that's the point. He'll probably go out first at SurSer.
-
Kennedy was just awesome though, his face when Taker was behind him and not in the entranceway was awesome, only to turn around, go "oh shit" and beeline. Perfect chickenshit heel stuff.
-
It's not an unnecessary limitation. If it's building to developing a darker character, which Batman by his nature should be after everything that has (in canon) happened to him, then good. Even without the "limitation" he would still only be in his mid-30s tops. I think Morrison is trying to build the character in such a way that it makes the "Dark Knight Returns" story more plausible. Comic writers always look out for their own stuff.
