    Wrestling Quirks

That's actually a good literary technique called 'irony'. It's probably one of my favorite parts of gimmick matches, like Bubba and D-Von setting up the four tables at TLC 1 and then Bubba flying down through them about ten minutes later.

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania Thread

Change up MITB this year. Two briefcases up top. 10 guys. Kofi, Miz, Morrison, Kane, Finlay, Kendrick, Zeke/Kozlov/Chavo, Bourne (if he's healthy, Knox if not), and the losers between Punk vs. Rey for the IC and MVP vs. Shelton for the US. Have WM open with the two lower tier title matches, or hell, have them be dark matches or be on the Raw/SD before WM, whatever. You get a briefcase, you leave the match. When both are down, match over (duh). I'd say give Morrison one and Rey one after Rey loses to Punk. Since technically Morrison is an ECW guy with a Raw tag title, I'd have Rey shipped off to SD during the draft.

    WWE Raw - February 16, 2009

It's a fight, not a match. If you listened to Shane he was challenging Orton to a fight, between Randy and himself. Not a match. I think he knew that. His point was how would a non sanctioned fight keep Legacy away from the ring? I think that was Shane's way of trying to tell Orton not to be a pussy and bring his friends to the fight. Had he actually called him a pussy, however, then *****

That would be awesome. After the match next week he just comes out, says 'no' and walks away.

YES! They are finally having an Undertaker's Streak Number One Contendership Match

It was a backstage segment but I bet he will dance. And that will be my cue to flip the fuck out again.

If they did it, I'd hope that Edge would make Kofi look like a champ before winning, cause that could go a long way in making Kofi a bigger star

    WWE No Way Out 2009

I think it would be the other way around, since Cena has the rematch clause with Edge. I think if Orton wants to go after HHH, he'll have to go to SD.

Again... the ankle got worked. It would be incredibly stupid for Orton to go for the punt on an injured ankle. It's not like he's the face with nothing to lose, he has a Wrestlemania title shot to worry about, why injure himself further? Re: Swagger. It's all about the Lisp. But why book him to injure his ankle? Part of the allure of the match was seeing Shane get punted. I can understand making it a competitive match - no one wants to see a squash on PPV - but why not book a punting on the PPV people paid for! I know it's suspension of disbelief, but if I was in a match with Randy Orton the first thing I would do would probably be go after his right foot/ankle. And I wouldn't stop till he was hobbling around like James Caan in Misery.

He *is* the youngest guy out there right now. He's not even 23 yet.

I just read the 411 recap, and saw that Shane came out with his music and FUCKING DANCED. Fuck this shit. HE HURT YOUR FATHER AND TRIED TO HURT YOUR SISTER. RUN TO THE RING AND KILL KILL KILL. Son of a bitch do I fucking hate that...

He did an SSP to Angle at KOTR 2001 It was an ugly one. Seriously, at least have Orton pick him up at 2 just to be a dick. Shane kicking out helps no one It wasn't too bad. It could have been better, but for an untrained guy he did a fairly decent tucked up Shooting Star. He was probably a bit nervous too, like when Brock tried his at WM...and we knew he could do it cause we had at least seen tape of him doing it.

Where do people get the idea that HHH is going to Raw to protect Steph? I mean, I understand that the reality is that HHH and Steph are together, but where have they stated that they are going to finally 100% come out on TV and say it for this storyline purpose? the draft is the raw after wrestlemania isn't it? what stops HHH losing the title to Randy at WM and then being drafted to raw the next night? That's all fine and dandy, but people seem to think that Steph, if she wasn't in cahoots with Orton, was going to be almost attacked by Orton and be saved by HHH because they are together Who was she talking to on the phone on Raw? I didn't see that. But if that is where they are going, then alright. I just had not seen it mentioned and it seemed like a bizarre booking fantasy that turned into reality. I mean, if Orton chooses HHH, I think Cena will end up going against Jericho simply due to this Rourke thing looking like it's SOL.

fuck it, they should do HHH vs. Cena vs. Orton vs. Edge ... if HHH or Cena pin anyone else, they keep their belts, if Orton or Edge pin Cena or HHH they win that wrestler's respective belt.

It's just too bad we have to wait till WM for my favorite hyperbole of them all, when someone jumps off the ladder from about the same height as the top rope and they take it as though the person just fell from the tippity-top. My favorite occurrence of this is the first TLC, when Christian does his DDT to one of the Hardys and he's standing on the third or so step. I mean, does it hurt more than one standing on the mat? Sure. But come on...

FOX Sunday Night 08/09 - now in HD!

So, the last episode before going to HD was a parody of the 1994 film Heavenly Creatures, while the first one seems to be a slight parody of the 1990 film Mr. Destiny. Fantastic.

She was carried into another house by Sawyer and put in a back room, then walked out a few minutes with nigh a scratch on her pretty Aussie head. Miles was like "wtf?" and kept staring at her as they trekked through the jungle. I mean, she is Christian's kid too, so maybe if Jack gets killed he'll still be running 'round the island in a similar way. Edit: ...and originally in Back To The Future 2, Biff was to be shown falling over and fading out of existence by some trashcans a few moments after exiting the car in the original 2015. Sadly, there is still an issue with that explanation as well. I would think that the entire future would have changed as one big ripple effect, not just letting one person disappear. BUT, that would have created all kinds of wacky problems and I don't think the filmmakers were ready to deal with all of that.

That's what I was talking about, with Rouseau not remembering Jin. She should have remembered him as the event had already happened, and was due to happen again. Same with Charlotte remembering Daniel warning her as a little girl. It might not have happened, but it was due to happen so had already actually happened. It was the same with Locke being visited by Richard. Desmond "remembering" Daniel visiting him doesn't fit this theory, though. So that's Rousseau and Desmond not recognizing Jin and Daniel with Richard and Charlotte (eventually) recognizing Locke and Daniel. It's the inconsistencies that bother me, b/c they've shown a lot of care and thought in these extremely complicated storylines. You'd think with something as complex as time travel, they would've done a better job. If Danielle was alive, I'm sure she would remember Jin now, the same as Desmond remembering Daniel on the sailboat. Richard is special (duh) so I am assuming he lives above some of the rules. Also, Daniel has shown to have a pretty shitty memory, and I am going to guess that the scene with Chang at the opening of the season was actually somewhat of a flash forward and that Daniel, having witnessed Charlotte's death, will find the young Charlotte in the early eighties (wasn't she born in '79 according to Ben?) and tell her 'hey, don't ever come back here' and she was so young that it took her mind becoming completely unstuck in time for her to remember this guy telling her this (even though he had not in fact already done it). It's a mini-time loop. Richard technically visits John Locke as a baby in the hospital both before and after John goes back in time and tells him to. I keep my faith that in the next 25 or so hours of Lost that everything will be answered and it will all make sense.

Her 'sickness' was probably a combination of watching a dude disappear in front of her very eyes along with the prospect of getting killed by a giant monster made of smoke. Also, it would appear that she was the one that was 'sick' with paranoia as Robert was trying to talk her out of killing him and being pretty sensible before he tried to kill her. Jacob probably won't be seen in any great detail till the 6th season. That is the one really big reveal that they aren't just going to throw out mid-way through a season. I don't know if Christian is 'special', I think he was just chosen by Jacob/The Island to help be a guide. Remember, it would seem that Jacob isn't able to travel about the island himself (possibly due to the volcanic ash line that Locke/Ben crossed). When Hurley saw the cabin and it jumped around in front of him I think that was actually a very important hallucination that we have not fully gotten the meaning of yet. I would assume at some point we will understand that Hurley really is special, or else the Numbers would not have been such a crucial part of his life leading up to him ending up on the island where they apparently originated from. It's four toes, and what most people seem to guess about the statue would APPEAR (thought I am not absolutely certain) to be the correct assumption. It was Annie, but many people have been guessing that both are the same person, and much that she said on this week's episode seems to be pointing in that direction.
