Heh, I went to bed right after the Cubs blew it. My night was ruined and thus, I was in bed at 10:30 for the first time since I was 7-years-old. I'm not surprised the Sox pen blew it, they did all season, so why not now? Lord knows the Cubs' pen had that theory.

Fuck. I hate how they just tease you by coming back only to cough it up right away. Ah well, nothing new for the bullpen.
-
Ugh. What a waste that top half of the 8th was. Welp, looks like the Cubs are gonna have to sweep at Wrigley if they don't want a game 5.

Wow, Karros just redeemed himself somewhat by hanging in there and eventually getting the hit. Finally, they play small ball and it pays off. Simon shoulda prolly hung up there at first, but at least it's a new game, with Smoltz already used.
-
I ask this...is it really that hard to play small ball? That's how the Braves got back into the game and eventually took the lead. They've got 11 hits, not one has been for extra bases. Maybe if the Cubs could play some small ball they'd still be winning. Easier said than done, but it's still frustrating to sit by and watch, especially when you consider how the game started off.

It's not even so much that Hampton's pitching that great. The Cub hitters are just really helping him out by swinging at bad pitches. That pitch count's gotta be getting up there (not that hight, but still) for Hampton, already. If the Cubs can put together some more threats, they'll drive him out of the game early.

Prolly would've been better off if it had been a homer, cuz at least it would've gotten home one more than they ended up getting. Good way to work up his pitch count in the first inning, but to go up there with the bases loaded, nobody out, and proceed to strike out in the next three at-bats, well that's just poor baseball. They got lucky on that play at the plate, too. Hopefully, they can keep at Hampton early on and get into their pen early on, as well.

Gotta love when someone online says they told someone else online something to their "face." Yeah, you can be upfront about something to someone as opposed to talking about someone behind their back, but still, you're still sitting comfortably in your house in front of your monitor, telling someone in another state (even country, sometimes), not telling them something right to their face.

All my money as of late's gone into online orders and the little bit I've got coming is going for next week. I'll pick up the set sometime in the future, but I'll live until then. I'm actually thinking about getting the Adventures of Robin Hood, too. I caught the documentary on TCM that's also on the DVD and it pretty much sold me on the DVD. Like Scarface, though, it'll have to wait.

And Ponson's blown that lead. Good to see the Marlins finally playing the way that got them to postseason in the first place.

Joe Morgan and Jon Miller will be doing the Cubs/Braves game.

Who cares? If she had been some ugly broad, then yeah, maybe I'd care, but as it was, I had no problem looking at her.

Nah, he implied that good looking women couldn't be good cocksuckers. Or not. Regardless, I think it's true that most hawt women are less motivated to be masters of the oral art because their looks make up for it. With the less attractive ones, they've gotta make up for their looks in another department, and hell, why not cocksucking?

And yeah, Chipper was out on that groundball, but the runner gets the call in those situations. Luckily it didn't lead to anything else.

No. It's well documented that the Braves fans don't start coming out until the NLCS. I think having a split crowd helped out a lot, and it really made for a fun atmosphere tonight. I don't think I've ever been that tense during any sort of game in my entire life. I know it's one win, but statistics show just how important getting that first win in the NL is and on Atlanta's home turf, no less. The Cubs needed this one because who knows how Zambrano will fare with his first postseason outing being in such a tense atmosphere as it's sure to be. Heh, it's a long ways from the bandwagon to that ground, I'll tell you. I'm just glad I can finally breathe again, until tomorrow night that is.

Blah, double post. Didn't seem like it went through the first time. But anyway, thank god Farns rebounded from that walk. I still say Dusty shoulda stuck with Remlinger for the rest of the inning, since Borowski was the only one left down there after Farns. Thank god there's only one inning left, my nerves are shot.
-
The Cubs are gonna owe me a heart transplant when this is over. And it's about to get even more tense with the Farns coming in.

Holy Lord. Fick's error now has cost them three runs and Wood of all people is the one to get the runners in after the Simon gamble didn't pay off. I was about to curse everything to hell when Bako grounded into what should have been a double play but went crazy when Fick dropped it. Ortiz is out now and the Braves' pen is good but it's certainly nice to see them at this point. If Wood can keep what he's been doing up, this could be good stuff. P.S. Wood's wife is hawt.

Ah, nice to see the Cubs resorting to their old ways by loading the bases with NO ONE out and proceeding to go down in order, scoring no one. Disgusting.

Wow, the Yanks looked just awful in that half of the inning. What should have been a single, turned into a triple and a run. Bernie's having a pretty crappy game so far. I'm pulling for the Twins just because I'm tired of the Yanks, but aside from the Cubs/Braves series, I won't be pissed over the outcome.

Speaking of FreeDVDs, I've yet to ever recieve the one DVD I was able to obtain. It's been about a month now, how long's it gonna take?

What did he get blackballed for exactly? I've wondered myself where he's been all these years.

Anyone who uses the wrestling avatars the board provides. How unoriginal can you people get?

By all rights, Choi should be starting and Karros should be on the B-Team. Well, Karros was hot at the right time and by time he cooled off, they'd acquired Simon and they became the "co-A Team First Basemen."
