People already know what Hillary's all about, so she probably wouldn't have won. Obama was a new face and it seems like people wanted to try something new after the last two decades (I'm including the Clinton presidency here as well).

I think he was crying because the easy target is gone. Now he's gotta actually WORK for an Emmy.

FNC called it. Ovah.

Apparently my county doesn't have a site, which is fitting considering how behind the times my area is anyway. I'll just check the state election board site tomorrow.
-
Are there any sites that give you precinct by precinct results yet, or is it too early?

Looks like the greyhound racing ban will pass as well in Mass. Guess that's more revenue that'll go to RI and Connecticut slots. EDIT: Congrats, Democrats. Now there's nothing in your way to either improve things or fuck them up even further with nobody else to point the blame at. The ball is fully in their court right now.

You know, one of these networks should have a huge pyro display when polls close, like RAW and Nitro used to do when they got to their second hours.

The late night comics will probably overcompensate with Joe Biden jokes or go back to making fun of easy-target celebrities. He'll be throughly fellated up until Inaguration Day but once he actually has to do the job he'll probably be mocked, but not in the harsh way Bush was. It'll be more a Clinton-like "Oh ho ho, that rapscalion" instead of a Bush-like "What a fucking idiot". If the Democrats just spin their wheels and nothing gets done, then it'll get fun.
-
So when do we hear reports about people trying to storm the White House and tossing Bush out? And yes, I'm serious. I also still don't get how the networks decide to call a state with >1% of precincts reporting.

At the risk of sounding whiny, I wish they'd stop moving my polling place around! The one I used in 2000 was actually on the same street as me so I could walk up and back in 5 minutes, the one in 2004 was a bit farther away but walkable, but this one I actually had to drive to! It was pretty much empty, but is that really a surprise given where I live?

I bought Fallout 3 today, so that's what I'll have on tomorrow night. Hey, it DOES take place in DC at least! There's no Tim Russert and his Magical Dry Erase Board of Scenarios, so the thrill is gone for me.

It comes down to the Monday night game to see if I take the division lead. Jack, be honest, you pulled that Bengals pick out of your ass, didn't you?
-
From watching gameplay videos and reading articles, I'm getting more of a BioShock vibe from it instead of Mass Effect.

Bad night for The Genius tonight. Running down the field like a moron yelling "Waait, waiiit I changed my miiiind!" and blowing their last timeout when they got the first was pathetic. It also was pathetic to see the Colts get torched again and again by that draw play. Both these teams suck this year.
-
So this is Detroit's remaining schedule: vs. Jacksonville @ Carolina vs. Tampa Bay vs. Tennessee (Thanksgiving) vs. Minnesota @ Indianapolis vs. New Orleans @ Green Bay I see maybe two games that they have a shot at winning (Minnesota, though that may be a bit of a stretch, and New Orleans). I watched last year's Pats-Colts game on NFL Network this past week. I was working that day so I missed most of it, but it was actually a damn good game. It certainly will be better than tonight's which will either be both teams stumbling all over the field since neither offense can get going, or Peyton torching everything in his path in a repeat of the San Diego game. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cassell blunder right into a spinning Feeney at one point.

I was going to put this on my Christmas list, but I'm hearing nothing but universal acclaim for this so I'm just going to pick it up after work tomorrow. I'll put Gears 2 on there instead.

The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread
KingPK replied to DMann2003's topic in Television & Film
Mine arrived today. I didn't realize how big the tin case is. I watched the first part of the retrospective and Trace doesn't look a damn thing like he did back then. -

The women's tag is 25 minutes of sheer fun. Everyone is just bumping all over the place and flying everywhere. I vaguely remember The Glamour Girls and the JBA having a match on a SNME or something like that. Can anyone help me out here?
-
I'll be glad when this is over if only because these fucking "[Candidate X] voted with Bush [insert percentage greater than 50% here]" ads will be off my TV screen. Even if it's true, hearing it for three straight political ads in a row gets kind of sickening after a while. Think of something else, would ya?
-
That probably would have been logical, but then that means Survivor Series would have been completely fucked up and Shawn/Shamrock (which would have to be the new main event to keep the storyline) would have been completely shat upon. Then what does Bret do? Word of him going to WCW would be out by now so any farewell promo would probably have him booed out of the building.
-
I remember watching this years ago on tape and wondering if the 20-man tag would ever end. I also remeber being completely floored by the shit The Jumping Bomb Angels were doing.
-
Yeah, that episode seemed to mash a bunch of stories together without giving each one that much time. This definitely would have been better as an hour-long. The deleted scenes for this one are going to be pretty long; I doubt they did that Halloween scene just for the cold opening. "I'd take off the hat, but then I'm Hitler."

Man, Battlebowl was one of those "it sounded good on paper" things, wasn't it? I don't know what WCW's fascination with multiple ring events was; it's confusing for the live fans who have to almost look at one ring with one eye and even worse for the TV viewer given WCW's subpar production values. Ross and Schiavone are absolutely confused and don't know what the hell is going on either. Gotta love Ricky Richard Morton throwing Liger into the second ring and then just waltzing in after him (through the middle rope, by the way). EDIT: And holy shit, was a mullet a prerequisite for employment as a WCW official back then? EDIT 2: I forgot to mention that Douglas/Steamboat vs. Pillman/Windham is a DAMN good match.
