More specifically, the secondary. They're letting Ward and Randle El run free for 20-30 yard completions.

This calls for a celebration! Couldn't post this image for some reason, but it's worth it.

But he was too much like AS to overlook. - Doesn't like Cena - Prominently involved in Yankee threads - Used AOL, like AS - Registered maybe a day or two after AS' banning. If it wasn't him, it was the greatest AS impression in history.

Clement should definitely get the wins he should have gotten with Boston's offense behind him.

I'm going with Heidenreich, just because a giant, sodomizing, poet-reading Aryan with a lisp just can't be beat. The Diva search at least had breasts to look at.

Isn't that what 100% of them are doing?

So do you think RAW is headed in the right direction with their title picture, or does the spectre of HHH make it meaningless?

I actually agree with Exslade a bit here. Around this time last year news came out that all but spoiled everything that was going to happen over the first three months of '04 (Eddie winning the title, Benoit winning the Rumble). This time, WWE is going into '05 leaving us guessing who's facing who at the big one, which is either what WWE wants, or they don't know themselves. They have a lot of directions to go to start the year, and plenty of chances to screw up each one of them.

If it wasn't then the guy nailed his attitude to a tee. Way too many similarities to overlook for too long.

I'm sure that the Yankees will eat at least SOME of it. Course, this IS the Diamondbacks here......

I don't think there was a "conspiracy"; a lot of us knew that management wasn't going to fall over themselves trying to lock this guy up. Schilling pretty much taking over the "fan favorite" role in one year definitely irked him a lot, not that I don't blame him.

Pedro burns all bridges with Sox management. Really interesting interview, where Pedro rails against management and says he wants both Manny and Varitek on the Mets next season.

Soccer's just never had a mythic figure that (outside of a small percentage) Americans could fall in love with. The closest we've had is probably Pele. The average American would just rather watch a baseball game (which has just as slow a pace as soccer) than a soccer match.

Probably so the FCC won't get on their ass about guys bleeding, like people will see it in black and white and think Jesus blotted chocolate sauce on his forehead or something. They've done it pretty often lately actually, when showing past highlights.

Should I be proud/sad/gassy that I started all of this? Let this be a lesson to us all: never bring up Sable on an internet wrestling discussion board.

See, I was thinking that too. Is there a difference between what EA did with the NFL and what THQ did with WWE? For that matter, what about Sony making GTA games exclusive to the PS2?

Though I agree that they shouldn't bring him back, the Sox might miss Derek Lowe a LITTLE bit for his ability to step up in the playoffs (saving Game 5 of the '03 ALDS and winning all three '04 series clinchers), but Wells probably more than makes up for it.

The musical numbers and gimmick shows were fine to start, but once Drew and Kate got together, and then broke up, the writing just went into the dumps. That was also the time when Christa Miller fell from hot to good looking (she's recovered a bit, though).
-
Both rotations have question marks. - Was Wright's '04 season the exception rather than the rule? - Will Pavano turn out like Vasquez, an NL pitcher that struggles in the AL? - Will Wells' back hold out? - Will Schilling's ankle hold him out for too long? - Is Brown still a basket case? - Will Wake bounce back from a mediocre '04?
-
Like when you use his handtowels to wipe your ass? Don't ask....

Honestly, I really don't think the Yankees CARE right now that their minor league system is decimated. They make enough money that they can keep a $150M+ payroll with little problem and get into the bidding for any FA they want. Whether that is wise long term (probably not) is up to debate, but they are the favorites in the AL right now. Not telling Pedro to kiss off a month ago really hurt the Sox, as now they have to deal with a depleted pool of FA starters.

That "Goodbye to 2004" special on Comedy Central last weekend was SO disappointing, as it had Norm (I chuckled a little, though), Kathy Griffin (yes, her brand of "chick comedy" sucks), and whatever the hell Colin Quinn did at the end (geez, negative much?) They advertised Denis Leary, but all he was in was a short (but damn funny) MasterCard "Priceless" spoof about Red Sox fans.

Sprite and (to a lesser extent) 7-Up have too much of an acid taste. Sierra Mist goes down smoother and it's more refreshing.

How's the Joey Harrington Experience turning out for ya?

I would buy a game with all five cities graphically updated and an early-21st century setting. They would probably rather do a new game in the vibe of the 60s or 70s, though, and I would play that too. Either that, or GTA: Family Outing, where you take the station wagon on a tour of Pennsylvania Amish Country, stopping at gas stations to get directions because your wife won't stop nagging you. Add a minigame where you can see how many times you can answer the kids asking "Are we there yet?" before you turn around and go home, and you've got a keeper.
