This has actually been one of the better games this season. Time for Ben Ro to earn another Sportscenter BJ. And Tyler, you can send your thank you note for that illegal contact penalty to Tony Dungy.
-
Since Tyler's still here, would you consider the Steelers game tonight a "must win" for homefield? I can certainly see the Pats running the table to end the season (with possibly the Jets and maybe the Bengals being possible threats), putting a possible AFC title game in Gillette.
-
Reid is playing with fire right now. YANK THEM!!! Even Brady was out by now. And they still are passing. I just don't get it.
-
Ok, NOW Reid should yank McNabb, T.O. and Westbrook. There's no reason NOT to.
-
Was just about to say that. The Packers D is pissed off, so they will be zeroing in on him if he stays in. Putting Eli in REALLY helped things for the Giants, didn't it?
-
Eh, I could see the Panthers sneaking in to at least the title game. The NFC's so wide open that the team with the most momentum is going to take it. As far as the Steelers: IMO, the only teams that can beat them are the Pats....and the Steelers.
-
Luke's actually outplayed Brady today, although he's padding the stats in garbage time against NE scrubs. Still, not bad.
-
No idea. Hey, when was the last time NE broke 50? Pats have a shot. Although why you go for the TD on 4th with a 42-7 lead escapes me. Won't someone please think about Adam?!
-
I was talking about LUKE McCown, who had his first start today for the Browns.
-
How about McCown for Cleveland? Garcia was probable, so why not start him? The kid has had flashes of decence, but he's just getting swallowed up.
-
Shoulder injury, I think. There's ANOTHER injury for my money league team.
-
Um.....this new Browns Era isn't really starting off well. Dillon could get 200 easy today, but I understand why they're keeping him out (Faulk has about 60 himself).
-
The Pats have put up 35 without a stellar Brady performance, so I guess it's alright. At least he doesn't turn it over much (although he is fumbling the ball more this year, I think). He always steps it up in the playoffs, so I wouldn't be that worried.
-
If he does it in January, then I'll be impressed. Browns rush D can't stop ANYONE to the outside, can they?
-
Giada De Laurentiis is hotter, although the camera angle they use on her show makes her head look like twice the size of her body. Rachael waffles from "eh" to cute to kinda hot depending on what makeup does with her.

What a Gay fumble return for a TD. Brady's gotta play a hell of a lot better than THIS.
-
You do know that for every dumb comment you make, a month is added to the time you have to have that avatar and SN, right? With this one, the total is up to......uh, let's see.......carry the one, multiply by 300......crap, I suck at math.

Done, done and done. Max better not start blaming every Sox loss on Grady Little now.

IMO, both the Steelers and Pats are more "complete" teams than the Eagles. Both have efficient offenses, with a back that can steamroll defenders and very competent man at the helm (Brady and Ben Ro), defenses that can mix it up and confuse opponents while knocking the stuffing out of them, and special teams that do their job well (though I'd definitely rather have Vinatieri up there with the game on the line than Jeff Reed). The Eagles are damn good, BUT their rushing D is still middle of the road (gives up an average of 4.5 yds/carry, which is 25th in the league) and I'm not sure if the other receivers can make up for TO should he be completely neutralized (or injured). And what's all this "Philly proved us wrong" stuff. EVERYONE thought they were Super Bowl contenders already. They still have to prove that they can actually GET THERE now.

XX only had, really, one great match, one good one (I was disappointed with Eddie-Angle) and a bunch of mediocre-poor matches. VIII should be up there: Bret-Piper, Savage-Flair, Warrior's surprise return (no one saw that coming) X of course had the ladder match and Bret-Owen, so that should get some recognition.

It took WWE a bit to realize that, when Christian got injured, she was just being weighed down by Tomko and they should let her sow her own heel oats, but it has worked well. She is actually helping to get Lita pretty over with this angle they're working, since fans really seem to want Lita to finally pound the shit out of her and take the title. She's taken the vain, stuck-up bitch heel persona and attacked it with gusto. I could see Trish as kind of the "brains" of a new heel supergroup, but who would be in it? Not HHH, I hope.

I think he's only getting something like 1-2M/yr. Weis is only getting $500,000, which is the minimum for co-ordinators, I think. I don't know where I would look that up.

Wake's a hoss. He's been in the league, what, 13 years now? He's also done everything for the Sox (starting, closing, middle relief, long relief), so he's had more chances for wins than if he just started. I am surprised that 124 wins gets you #3 though; I'm guessing Cy Young is #1 and Clemens is #2, but I thought someone like Tiant would have more. EDIT: Heh, so Clemens and Cy are tied for 1st, with Mel Parnell at 123 and Tiant at 122. Pedro's only 6 away from passing them both.

Actually not really. According to pro-football-reference.com, they were 6th in the NFL in points scored, and 6th in points allowed which, along with red zone offense and defense, and average PPG surrendered (which I couldn't find, but they held 11 out of 16 teams under 20 points that year), are really the best stats to look for when deciding if a team is good. But yeah, you really can't look at stats alone in the NFL nowadays. You also have to look at the coaching.

Actually, I think one of the Atari systems had a memory card (or cartridge, in that case) to save high scores. I want to say it was the 7200, but don't quote me on that.
