I haven't encountered a single serious bug with my copy. The season stats said one of my linebackers was second on the team in pass receptions, but that's about it.

I got that. It looks like some public-access show where AWA footage goes to die. When you don't even get the ending to one of the matches, you know it's bad. I don't think it's even worth $5.50.

Wait, I forgot one: Making most of Bill Simmons' archive Insider exclusive. I want to be able to read his article where he debates which Rocky movie is the best anytime I want, DAMMIT!

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (which includes Third Strike) ESPN NFL 2K5 THPS 4 Splinter Cell GTA III & VC I have San Andreas on my radar right now.

His hair wanted more camera time, I guess. I'll throw in a reason, two actually: Dream Job airing at midnight (which is ESPN pretty much saying "We know you won't watch this." and that show I'll Do Anything, which looks like a shittier version of Fear Factor.

And, of course not even a month ago: So in 3 weeks, he's went from "I don't know if there will be" to "OMG DRAFT! LAST TO ONTARIO EATS SAND!!" Hopefully the youth vote that DOESN'T look to P. Diddy for political advice, sees right through this.

Booking for the 10/21 show from Baltimore!
KingPK replied to Patty O'Green's topic in Brandon Truitt
*Makes cameo appearance* You'd better do something to commemorate my birthday. *Disappears for another few months.....or do I? Nah, I do.* -
Dammit, because of ESPN Classic showing the same Red Sox/Yankees related material every day this week, Cheap Seats was pre-empted. And they were going to make fun of crappy wrestling! There is a limit to the number of times I can watch "2003 ALCS: A Rivalry Renewed" in a day.

At least you aren't one "episode" away from saying that Bronson Pinchot is pitching game 3 for the Yankees. Please Fox, more Al Leiter. Lock McCarver out of the booth if you have to.

If I may submit this for your approval. From what I've seen so far: 3 Reasons Why Boston is Losing this Series 1. Johnny Damon - 0-8, five strikeouts. He's supposed to be the tablesetter for the rest of the lineup, but he's looked horrid at the plate. Couple that with the ineffectiveness of Mark Bellhorn (who, on hindsight, shouldn't have been in the two spot if he's supposed to be a walks machine, since Lieber doesn't walk many), Manny and Ortiz have nothing to work with once they come up to the plate. 2. The offense in general - They are going to have to get runs off the starters, there's no other way around it. They were way too overanxious against Lieber, and that plays right into his hands. They have to work the count and get the pitcher's pitch count up to be effective. 3. Curt Schilling - We now know the ankle was worse than what the Sox said, and that pretty much sucked the effectiveness from him. and 3 Reasons Why the Yankees are Winning 1. The offense - They are getting hits when it counts. They blasted Schilling early, added a few runs to cushion the blow of the Sox comeback, and then got a few more to give Mariano some comfort. They also did enough off Pedro, who had no run support, to give Rivera two runs to work with. Speaking of..... 2. Mariano Rivera - The MVP of the series right now. He's definitely got a lot on his mind, but once he steps on the hill, he shuts it off and goes to work. First ballot HOFer no doubt. 3. Starting pitching - Supposedly the Sox strength, but Mussina and Lieber have completely shut down the Sox bats so far. Who knows if that will continue once we get to Fenway, though.

Just to bring it up, Friday's game may be in jeopardy, since it's supposed to rain all day. I guess if they cancel it, they will just play Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, since you don't need a whole day to go back to New York.

They beat the Connecticut Sun, the only professional sports team that I know of that plays home games in a casino (Mohegan Sun, which has a 10,000 seat arena right in the middle of the place).
-
The FOX graphic said he never had, so I guess they were wrong. I'm not surprised. Could someone drag McCarver into the other room and slap the hell out of him? I'd really rather have Leiter (who brings something to the table) with Buck instead of Tim's "John Madden on baseball" approach. EDIT: Well, was that homer in an LDS? If so, then I guess it meant he's never given one up in an LCS.
-
Not to take anything away from Lieber (who pitched a HELL of a game), but the Sox hitters helped him immensly by swinging at *everything*. He finished with, what, 83 pitches? You gotta make a guy throw more pitches than that. And if I was Pedro, I'd be livid at my teammates for leaving him hanging after he did all he could, in the most hostile enviroment anyone could pitch in by the way, to keep the Yankees' offense at bay. They MUST sweep at Fenway, not take 2 of 3, or this one's over. With Schilling's injury, that "edge" in starting pitching went kaput, so they got a climb ahead of them. And this team seems to have reverted to their pre-trade style of play: pray for the home run ball. Ortiz' at-bat against Rivera is a great example; he wanted to crush the ball 500 feet when Rivera has NEVER given up a postseason homer.

Kyle Noworth is the best.
-
Well, game over, but the Yankees should have won this game a hell of a lot easier than they did. They just threw their best starter, and now we get into the rest of the rotation.
-
I guess this will be a pretty offensive series, like I thought. Even if the Yankees win, their bullpen gave up seven runs and pretty much let Boston back in, when their best starter pitched a GEM. I'd worry about that. They'd better hope that they can go right to Gordon, because I wouldn't put the ball in Sturtze's hand in that situation anymore.

Looking at those schedules, the Eagles have the best shot to keep out of the loss column, but I agree that the Steelers have the best shot of knocking them off in the next four weeks, with Cleveland having an outside shot if they catch Philly on a bad day. As for NE, I don't think they are hung up on the streak so that there will be a "downer" against Seattle, but the Pats aren't that familiar with them (like with Arizona), and if the Seahawks D doesn't punch out after the 3rd like they did against the Rams (their point differential in the 4th is pretty bad by the looks of things), they have a good shot.

Zimmer should hit Pedro with a chair for that to work. Joe Buck: "Wait a minute, th-th-that's Don Zimmer's music." *Zim beans Pedro with a chair and rips off his D-Rays shirt to reveal pinstripes, hugging Joe and Cashman as they pose over Pedro* Buck: "I can't believe what has just occured fans. Don Zimmer, you can just go to hell." *sound of headset being slammed down*
-
As do I. The next two weeks are probably NE's biggest challenges of the season (outside of the Colts game) with the Seahawks and Jets. Man, Pats/Hawks at 1, Game 5 Sox/Yanks at 4. Heaven.
-
And Sammy Knight kills any Dolphin momentum with that penalty as the Pats get another TD (with Givens burning Knight for the catch).
-
Well, there's Miami's usual fuckup. Matt Turk seemingly tried a fake punt run on his own and turned the ball over. And Sammy Knight punches David Givens, giving the Pats 15 yards.
-
If I were the Dolphins, I'd do everything in my power to get Edgerrin James, since it's highly unlikely the Colts can resign him. ......the Dolphins scored a TD? *Awaits the Apocalypse*
-
God, I'm debating wether of not to close this thread so we don't have to hear how Jeff Weaver and Jeff Weaver alone lost the Series last year AGAIN. Question for Al (or whoever can dig up the stats); which team relies on the HR ball to score runs more often? Just curious.

Brady's having a sub-par game, and the Fins' D is getting through. If Miami actually had an offense, they would be going places (and might be winning this game). But they don't, so they aren't, and they won't.
