Bostonians should get a kick out of this. Traffic will be a nightmare, buisinesses are closing, and even the mayor is saying people essentially should plan their lives around this thing, and even stay out of Boston if they can, and the reason they are doing all this (Kerry accepting the nomination), MIGHT NOT EVEN HAPPEN!! I will LAUGH my ass off if this causes him to lose Massachusetts in the election, because the DNC plans are pissing a LOT of people off.

Patriots tickets sold out in 15 minutes today. I tell ya, Kraft could sell the worst seats for $100 each, and he'd still sell the place out every week. Maybe I'll look into going to NY or Buffalo or something.

If you could put 12 single games on one DVD
KingPK replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in Sports
Great topic. I guess my picks would be: -Games 3 & 7 of the 2003 ALCS -Superbowl XXXVI -Superbowl XXXVIII (although this game is on the Pats' Superbowl DVD) -The Snow Bowl (Oak-NE AFC Divisional playoff 2002) -Game 6 of the 1975 World Series (and not just for the finish) -The game in the 1984 NBA Finals that had the Celtics and Lakers fighting for everything and that almost turned into a brawl (Game 4?) -Superbowl XXXII (just a very good game, and Elway gets his ring) -The 1980 Miracle on Ice -The women's billiards match where Jannette Lee wore an evening gown with a VERY low neckline (hey, it's MY DVD) -Roger Clemens' 1st 20K game vs. Seattle in 1986 -Patriots vs. Bills Week 17, 2003 (Sweet, sweet revenge) -
What do you have in mind? PM me if you want to.

Take 2 out of Velocity, and one out of the other three categories then.
-
Hey Evo, is there any way you can change me into a starter rather than a reliever? And are the existing pitchers' stats already adjusted?
-
Why no recap of game 7? *Clicks link* .........................................shit.
-
But, he was one of the greatest pitchers in Tampa Bay Devil Ray history! An addendum to my Damon post: Now that he's clean shaven, I see a resemblance to Ashton Kutcher there.

If you haven't defragged or run disk cleanup in a while, that's probably the reason. The information is scattered all over the hard drive and it's taking the CPU longer to get what it needs.

Johnny Damon had the Jesus beard lopped off today, and went 0-3 with 2 walks. Is the power gone? Damn Gillette and the belief that kids want to read.

I don't want to speak for all Colts fans, but I would think that getting stuffed at the 1 four times at home against New England hurt a good deal, especially since the AFC title game would have been in Indy if they won, and that could have changed things a bit.

Uh oh, and I've SEEN APO after he presses the ban button on someone. Remember the orgasmic look Buh Buh would get after he put a woman through a table? It's creepier than that.

What an absolute waste of a game tonight. Zambrano throws 130 pitches in FIVE innings, walking nine and K-ing 8, but the Sox had plenty of scoring chances and blew a lot of them (11 LOB). Lowe had another bad start, and his stock is tumbling fast. Just not good.

I'm not quitting anything
-
Well, at least SOME people still will suffer. You won't see either JHawk and I quitting a show just because it's a major chore to sit through. Us>SK

I'm not sure if it's "creepy" or not, but when I went to the Pats game in Miami last year, after Fiedler threw that last INT in overtime, I turned to the guys behind me and said "that's the last time they will touch the ball today." Sure enough, next play, Brady hits Brown with an 82 yard bomb to win the game.

I know Sass, these people need to get out more.

I believe Boston has you beat on that, my friend. Al, want to help us out here?

ANNOUNCER: Feeling run down? Tired? Nothing just doesn't seem to go your way at the plate? For that prolonged slump, try facing the 2004 Tampa Bay Devil Rays, brought to you by Major League Baseball, the same fine people who brought you the 2003 Tigers, and the 2003-2002-Hell, every year of their existence Devil Rays. Just listen to these testimonials: Mark Bellhorn: "Before, the only way I could get on was by taking a walk. With the Devil Rays, I can jack it to the opposite field anywhere!!" Johnny Damon: "Not only is Tampa a good place to visit, their pitchers are so accomodating; they ALWAYS put it right in the sweet spot!" Pedro Martinez: "Want to listen to me whine about my contract? No? I don't want to talk then." Fat, Obnoxious Tampa Fan: "I wish I could heckle opponents for a GOOD team." Possible side effects: Strained neck from watching balls sail into the stands, headaches if you were dumb enough to draft a Tampa pitcher onto your fantasy team. If you are experiencing a losing streak to Tampa for over 4 games, seek a trade, or just fold the team immediately.

We have a water cooler? Where the hell is it? Next to the men's room with the golden urinals and Bach music, or on the second floor next to the World of Porn? *Ducks tomatoes*

Is this another Yankee bitching thread disguised as an umpire bitching thread? Umpires are not perfect, infallable beings. They blew some calls in the 1999 ALCS also (remember that AS)?

I'll ship this to CE if you want, but I saw this in today's Boston Herald I agree that the display in Sydney was a bit too much, but this is going too far the other way. I thought the Olympic games were supposed to be a reprieve from anything political and a place where people from all over the world meet and watch the best athletes compete? They can't even take a minature flag and wave it around the track because people might be offended? So when a Canadian, or a Frenchman, or a Spaniard does it, it's ok, but when an American does it, it's "confrontational"? Give me a break.

NASA scientists stated that adjustments may have to be made to the results before they are released to the public. Said one scientist: "We must take into account certain factors that may skew the data, most notably how the gravitational pull of Michael Moore effects the drag of space and time, since there is a LOT of drag there."

Well, we don't have a TON of content constantly posted (like 411 and its 156 writers), so my stuff usually stays on the main page for about a week, and I'm happy with that. I always have a link to my latest recap in my sig, anyway.

Geez, did my arm fall off after that start or something? Maybe they're plugging me in as the 4 or 5 starter for the rest of the postseason.
