Of course, if the Orioles can string together some more Sunday victories, all bets are off.

Hey quick inquiry: Which Foley DVD has the Kennel in a Cell match as a hidden extra: Hard Knocks, Cheap Pops (which I don't have) or Greatest Hits and Misses (which I do)?
-
It's because they've had a knack of suddenly turning it on right when the other teams they are chasing hit a cold streak late in the year. If they sweep either the Rays or Sawx in their next series', it'll all come back. In other news, the end of Mike Timlin's contract can't come fast enough for me. That fork in his back is starting to resemble the one seen in The Muppet Movie.

You have to find a rhythm to it and make sure the other stick isn't moving when you move one. I uploaded some Brady Bombs to EA Sports World if anyone wants to take a look: To Moss, To Welker

Mine is hovering around 600. I'm getting the hang of things and figuring out how to properly use my players' special skills (those circles underneath them). I've found that running Maroney straight into the middle of the D = not good and that Randy Moss catches anything that you put near him.

Blowing two 10-run leads aside, that was a fun game.

Jesus, the rest of the teams might as well just climb out of the pool right now and save their energy in this relay.

You can set how many Rewinds a player can have and it's turned off if you play under the "Hardcore" setting. I don't think it's that big of a deal since I think the most you can have is 5, so it isn't like someone can just rewind plays over and over and over. Played my first game as Pats vs. Fins. I'm a bit rusty as I sucked at the Madden Test on defense (it seems like it was tougher than the one in the demo) and I can't run the ball worth a damn, but a couple of bombs to Welker and Moss made everything better. I LOVE the animation and Cris Collinsworth is the best commentator in a football video game, bar none.

The only places with halfway decent arcades anymore are touristy areas. I go up to Lake George, NY once every few years and the arcades there still have a bunch of the classics.

I'll probably stop in to work tomorrow to get mine. If not, definitely Wednesday.

I was starting to think that the Rays weren't going to fade in the East, but now that Crawford AND Longoria are headed to the DL, that might change things.

Like most all Wii games, it's geared more towards casual and younger players, with simplified point and click playcalling, minigames and something called "Call Your Shot" that lets you tell a receiver where to go.

The race is on NBCOlympics.com if anyone missed it. That Silverlight player gives you a damn good picture.

Michael Phelps: "YEAH-UH!"
-
Yes, choke on those Silvers, Frenchies.

Geez, world records are falling left and right in the pool today.

For some reason I love seeing Bush dressed in casual clothes watching things like a regular guy. Somebody should paint little American flags on his cheeks. I can't wait for the track events and seeing all the runners deal with the smog.

Goddamnit. Way to step in front of that pass, VX. The Aussie swimmers are cuties all around. And is it me or is men's gymnastics boring as fuck? Women's isn't much better but at least they don't have that pommel horse and rings shit. EDIT: Cool, the fencer's uniforms light up when hit. Futuristic.

Works for me. I think this is kind of the tryout for online leagues; I guess EA wants to make sure the basic outline works well before throwing in a bunch of features in Madden '10.

They are doing Memento next. That's a pretty interesting choice, I gotta say.
-
To clarify, he started from Week 3 to the end, so you could say he played almost a complete season in '01.
-
There's going to be a roster update available the day the game launches, apparently.
-
I'm not. He's got the stats, but he is the (not one of, THE) biggest negative play machine in NFL history as the active leader in sacks and the career leader in INTs and fumbles, saving his biggest blunders for the biggest moments. It's just that a lot of people choose to selectively forget those things when they should play a pretty big bearing on the legacy he will leave.
-
Actually, reading the stories again, it's apparently only if they trade him to the Vikings, so it's probably in there as more of a "There ain't no fucking way you are getting him" move towards Minnesota.
-
The Jets would have to give up three first round picks if they trade him. Who the fuck would agree to that? I would give Pennington a look as backup. Dude is incredibly accurate.
