Argh, this total ineptness on the part of the Red Sox offense w/RISP is getting on my nerves. 21 guys in the last two games!! Man, SOMEONE hit them home!!!
-
I saw on the news that Kerry fell off his bike yesterday. The anchorman made sure to point out that not only was Kerry unhurt, the BICYCLE was taken to a repair shop and will be just fine. Get well soon!!!!

Well, let's see here. They're missing arguably their biggest superstar, as well as Trot Nixon. The offense can't get it together for some reason, although I think you could suggest that Damon's poor hitting certainly isn't helping matters. Then you've got your best pitcher playing the "I want more money" game at a horrible time. Manny has really been bothering me lately, as his refusal to show any sort of hustle on the offense is almost sickening. Him standing there like a jackass when he thinks he's hit a homer, pop up or foul ball, has to stop. Well, my statement was 80% in jest. I'm not going to ream them out for a few bad games (in which they didn't get blown out or anything, and they had a shot on Sunday), but it's really apparent that, while their offense has been good without them, it's a whole different ballgame with Nixon and Nomar in there. Yeah, Pokey Reese and Mark Bellhorn are real good defensively, but they SUCK at the bat (although Bellhorn is behind Bonds right now in walks, so at least he has that going for him; Reese just can't hit.)

No real huge series to look forward to this week that I can see, but Yankees-A's should prove interesting to see if Oakland can keep the Yankees' bats silent. And I also caught this Jayson Stark article at ESPN.com: Loria looking to Vegas? Click the link for the rest of the article.

*Contemplates creating a "What in the f'ing hell is wrong with the Red Sox?" thread*

Guess the Red Sox bullpen's scorless innings streak is over. Mark Malaska and Scott Williamson both give up runs and Texas takes Game 1 4-3.
-
Orale, please refrain from using all caps in the thread title. It's needless. The more I read about this film, the more I want to see it. I've heard it being compared to films like Heathers (but less dark and no one dies in this one). All I wanted to do was see how well Lacey Chabert had grown up (PO5 sure had it's share of hot chicks), but I'll probably pay attention to the rest of the movie now.

He also gave them free choo-choo rides, instead of making them walk all the way there. Not many heartless dictators can say THAT.

Somewhere around 35,000, I believe.

I guess Sox/Rangers was PPD tonight. Another doubleheader for the Sox tomorrow, I assume? Arlington is getting nailed by a t'storm and they're worrying about tornadoes tonight. And my brother got tickets to a Yankee game at Fenway in August. Go me.

Well, at least things are peaceful in the towns of Burrito, Guacamole, and Taco Bell. I'm sorry, it was just SITTING there, I had to take it. I'll leave now.

AH HAVE RETURNED~! Feedback appreciated.

No, the dog actually was black this week. I sense a running gag on the horizon. Let me bounce two title names off everyone: The King's Court or The Royal Treatment?

It was sarcasm, believe me.

That's kind of an extreme example, isn't it? The Yankees have every possibility to get red hot and make this slow start a distant memory. If they were playing like this in September, it would probably mean they fall right out of the playoff picture.
-
I said games Yankees losing 3 games to Texas in April = not much of an impact. Yankees losing 3 games to Texas in September with 6 games to go with Boston having a 2 game lead in division= Yankees have tougher road to winning division.
-
If one team came out of those 7 games ahead 4-3, I would agree with Mole, but yeah, Boston going 6-1 is pretty damn big, early in the year or not. That's almost half of the 19 games they will play this year, so the Yankees have some ground to make up. Games in April count, just not as much as games in August and September.

I don't know if I can take a movie seriously when the President of the United States is played by the guy who was the father in The Wizard [secret Service agent stands outside Oval Office door] "Sir?" [no answer, Agent opens door] "Sir? There has been a major earthquake in California. [President is playing Zelda II] "Wait a second. I'm on the sixth palace of Hyrule. Yeah! I got past the river devil." "It looks pretty bad sir. Sir!? [Agent unplugs NES] "What the hell are you doing? I had the magic key. I got the cross. I was closing in on the barbarian!"

Damn, Byung-Hyun Kim was on fire today. Sure, it was the Devil Rays, but he only gave up 1 hit over 5 innings. Not a bad return.

Wait until the Celtics start 5-15 next year.

Giant Tidal Waves Could Wipe Out New York & The UK
KingPK replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in General Chat
Well suffice to say, the Atlantic is going to become one big-ass ocean in a few million years while the Pacific continues to shrink. And you can say goodbye to that Mediterranean beachfront property in about 60 million years, since there won't BE a Mediterranean Sea. -

Linky linky please? -
Did they desert their military posts and disobey military orders? That is a MAJOR violation of the law, if I recall, so I don't blame the US for wanting them to face the music.

Just in case you don't know/couldn't remember what we're talking about (and I was debating wether or not to do this), read these threads: Is There Anyway To Create Audio CD's..., Without Needing a CD Burner The U.S. Empire Is Falling!, Ain't It Sweet?
