I don't think so. I've seen roughly the same ratio of HRs by lefties and righties in my game. I can't believe the Devil Rays are in second in my Dynasty. They took 2 out of 3 in our last series at Fenway. They slapped around Schilling but good.

Proving that the GameFAQs boards are good for something, I found some good sliders for the Pro and All-Star difficulty levels. You can tweak them a little if you want, but they are a pretty good starting point. Extreme kudos to Sly for that match. That was just an excellent back-and-forth contest. As for the rest of the show, I really haven't read it all yet, just the last two matches, along with my match. The IZ and HD main events were FABOO~! though, and the big announcement should set up some interesting things over the next few months.

I nabbed it today, and am very impressed by the Dynasty mode. First off, it's 120 friggin' years long! I also think the ability to play AAA and AA games is pretty neat; you can actually see how a prospect plays before bringing him up instead of relying on stats. I also like the option that you can either play, sim, or Manage a game. Pitching is pretty easy to grasp, but hitting is pretty tough, but not to the point where it feels like the CPU is being cheap. My bro and I are just starting a Dynasty with the SAWX~! Our collective lack of hitting ability resulted in a 3-1 loss. One more point: I like how Freddy Sanchez is back in Pawtucket. It's like EA took pity on Boston for that trade last year and decided to strike it from virtual memory.

Unfortunately "the Old Roger Rabbit effect" costs TONS more to do right. Disney was pouring millions into finding out a way to get the roger rabbit effect in CGI because to do a sequel to WFRR was going to costs 100's of millions for just the animation alone. Combining live action and animation in any meaningful way (Roger Rabbit quality) is so labor intensive, where as to do it with CGI it's easier because the computer can match up the camera shots and get the right angles, lighting, etc, on the characters without an artist having to figure it all out by hand. Wow, didn't realize that.... I never knew it was that expensive. It also took about a year and a half (I think) after the live action filming was done to hand paint all the animation in. We're talking tens of thousands of individual drawings here. They pretty much had to film the live action with Bob Hoskins talking to an imaginary rabbit while Roger's voice actor did the lines off-screen. Get the DVD that came out last year. It's pretty damn interesting to find out how much went into making that movie.

Got more playing time at least. But having 13 save opportunities and only converting one isn't good. Time for arbitration. C'mon Pride, either give me a real chance or send me somewhere else!!

"Hate" is too strong a word when discussing games you don't like (unless you're on the GameFAQs boards, it seems). But I do have a beef with 989 Studios/Sports: It seems like every game they have put out since 1999 has been a mediocre pile. They took the Twisted Metal series and almost tanked it, a lot of their original titles (Syphon Filter, to name one) are just blah, and their sports games (ESPECIALLY the Gameday series) are the same every year: blah graphics and crappy gameplay. It seems like they're getting their act together with the MLB series (it's getting good reviews), but maybe they should take a year off on the basketball and football so they can learn what goes into a good game.

This is the first show I've read beginning to end in a while, and HD still brings the content. I agree with Hoff, Crystal/Sharps was boss.
