Here's a fun factoid: In this era of Interleague play, neither the Sox or Yankees have faced the Cubs during the regular season. That means they'd be going in pretty much unfamiliar with each other. That's kind of nice from a purist's standpoint.

I kind of miss Paul O'Neil beating himself up evertime he made an out. Nice win. Even though I think Game 1's aren't as important in a 7 game series, this was a good performance. And could that ump be any lazier when punching guys out?

I absolutely loved the part where they talked to a guy who was apparently an "eyewitness" and then when they showed the replay after, HE WAS SITTING BEHIND THE POLE LOOKING THE OTHER WAY!! They gave him the tag "'Objective' Yankee Fan."

Why does FOX INSIST on not starting games at or around 8:00? If you want a pregame show, start at 7:45 or something.

I almost went to Amherst, but the manditory nightly Breathalyzer and "recite the alpahabet" tests kind of put me off. And the fact that the President's (at the time) brother is a wanted Mob boss on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List.

It was pretty dumb with all the rioting and such. Geez, it's the ALDS. It was a great win and all, but let's show some restraint here. But of course, the majority of the rioting was done by drunk BU and UMass Amherst kids, so they'd riot if they got B's on their finals.

Not good enough? The season series was 10-9 Yankees. Come on, in THIS postseason, do you REALLY want to be betting the farm on ANYTHING?
