And Lily and Ted reenacting A Few Good Men while Robin delivers a baby on TV. Win.

The official league is drafting in >20 minutes, so git yer asses in there.

From the man that brings you Botchamania comes MACHOMANIA~! Part I: Part II:

It's really nothing more than a tarted-up MSG card, but the atmosphere was certainly there, especially in the main event.

The Royal Rumble actually looks FUN and it seems like they fixed a lot of problems I had with it: - The elimination animations actually look authentic insteaf of the lame "push the guy against the ropes" one of SvR. It would be nice if you could interrupt the animation to save a guy if you were playing multiplayer, but that's something for the next game. - The meter is slower and doesn't go immediately to empty if two guys are on you. It also seems to drop faster the lower a wrestler's energy bar is or if a bigger guy like Andre is trying to throw him out, which actually makes sense. - Love Andre just shoving Yoko over the top. The more video I see and the more I play the demo, the more I am leaning towards dropping the $60. I'll just rent it from GameFly and buy it from there if I like it enough.

You wonder why they even bothered this week since the show was barely 30 minutes. Though Jimmy Valiant's Dolly Parton promo was hilarious only because he did everything but pull a Costanza and say "That's it for me. Goodnight everyone!" before leaving. He at least needed a rimshot or some fanfare.

"Good morning, Michael." "Oh no, no, no, no I am not Michael, I am Willy Wonkaaaaaaaaaa!" "Good morning Mr. Wonka. Here are your messages."

Double OT at the Garden. I love March.

They apparently are going to introduce streaming video only subscriptions later in the year, so you could just switch to that. Speaking of, I have another link for everyone: http://instantwatcher.com/. I go there mostly to see what's new and what's expiring, but it also lists the Instant library in a lot of different ways (including best and worst rated) and, IMO, is a bit easier to navigate. If you are signed in to your account you can play and queue videos from there as well.

I echo all the sentiments. I never saw Bill's death coming but it was a great way to go out. See Renee, Jack CAN feel dammit!

"Ted why don't you go outside and bite some curb. I'll be out there in a minute." Lily was pretty vicious towards Ted this week, though you can't blame her. Ted's girlfriend "lingering" AND criticizing her painting? What a bitch. I thought Laura Prepon was pretty good.

The Sox signed Jon Lester to a 5 year deal worth $30M with a team option for a sixth year. I think that means they've locked up most of the younger nucleus to long-term deals, which is fabulous.

WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion
KingPK replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
I guess they want to satisfy the newer subscribers (like me) who haven't watched from the beginning, but yeah, this better be in addition to the two regular MNW episodes a month not a replacement for one. -
I'd rather that money go towards keeping Wilfork and further improving the D instead of going after a guy that's burned bridges with THREE teams. It worked with Dillon and Moss, but that's because those guys were on bad teams and were frustrated. TO's been on Super Bowl contenders (or at the very least, pretty good teams) and still acted like an asshole. No thank you.

If this was $40 or so, I'd probably be all over it, but it seems like that once you get past the novelty and do all the little challenges (I love the video package that recaps the Austin/Rock feud), the game may get old kinda fast. Plus, it seems like with the control scheme you don't have that many moves to choose from (unless I'm not doing something right). I'll just GameFly it, I guess. It does look gorgeous in HD, though.

This Nitro was actually pretty fun with a great tag between Rey/Juvy and Psychosis/La Parka. The last hour was really underwhelming with Bret's introduction and NWO run-in #2432. The next one is the infamous NWO Nitro show, so that should be a fun trainwreck.
-
Nah, the V.P. is just a pussy. Obviously Jon Voight is the Evil Rich White Guy this year. What do you suppose is "the shipment"? Would be nice if it was something other than the standard nukes, but what else could it be?

They weren't getting a first for Cassel, so a high second is pretty good. They have a shitload of picks in the first three rounds of the draft (I think five or six now), so they certainly have the flexibility they like to have and can use that to get young defensive talent or future draft picks (I'm surprised they didn't try to finagle a conditional '10 pick out of Pioli too). EDIT: And as Naiwf said, it's more about cap space than draft position since they have guys like Wilfork and Seymour coming up for contract extensions soon.

Can't Miss RAW, Nitro, NWA Will try not to miss Prime Time, Legends Roundtables, HOF profiles, Mid-Atlantic Will generally watch Recent PPVs (but only the good matches), older PPVs and House shows, but my OnDemand only saves what I was watching for 24 hours so if I forget and it gets erased, I really don't feel like slowly FFing through a 3 hour show to get where I left off. Rarely/Never Watch WCCW (I don't know why), ECW, TNT
-
Even with the ability to FF, that show was a fucking chore to watch. And why do they bleep almost every instance of the word "ass" except for when Hogan is yelling at Jarrett?

Anyone use FeedFlix? It's a site that calculates your Netflix usage and gives statistics like the average time a disc is at home and the cost per rental. On average, I rent 14 DVDs a month and watch 24.3 titles on Instant. I keep discs on average of 6 days and my cost per DVD rental is $1.21. If you factor in the Instant viewing, it drops to $.44 putting me in the 13th percentile of Netflix users.

Sidekick named for "Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien"
KingPK replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
He'd done so since the 60s. When Ed was off, bandleader Doc Severenson would take his place. I'm happy because they really had some great chemistry and it could mean the return of some of my favorite bits (Staring Contest and Driving the Desk). -
As Smues and I were talking about in the 360 thread, there's a demo out for 2K9 right now. It's really mediocre as they seem to have really scaled down on the visuals and the animations; the swings look particularly off.
-
I played it and was underwhelmed. They brought back the MVP-style throwing meter for fielding which is nice, but everything else was very bleh (including the visuals).
