I believe the thinking is that "Monday is Wrestling" as far as the core audience is concerned so they want to air then.

It's a tricky one - while most of us here don't want to watch an hour of Nash, Hall et all, they still have audience recongition value and that's priceless when you're coming right out of the gates. They have to strike a balance between catering to that (mythical?) casual wrestling audience and their current audience, those who'd be quite happy to watch a two hour show made up of two 45 minute X-Div matches. What I wouldn't do, under any circumstances, is open the show with JJ delivering an in-ring promo about how he's just won his belt back - right off the bat that'd just give a poor man's WWE impression and that's the last thing they need to do. So, start with a crazy arse X-Div match, let the ususal suspects go at it for 20 minutes and wrap it all up with a clean ending. Follow that up with some kind of skit or promo or something with the likes of Nash, Konnan or someone similar.

So they're now negotiating a deal with WGN from a postion of desperation - nice move lads!

So have I (I've gotten every ppv they've ever done) - but thats no excuse to not give them another chance when they are probably putting out better stuff than I've seen from them in a long time. Meh! Obviously we disagree on this.

Bear in mind that a lot of people here, myself included, spent a lot of time and money on TNA over the last few years.

If you enjoyed the last PPV, why not give this one a shot? Are you on commission ? If any of the matches turn out to be particularly good, I might download them later. Their refusal to properly utilize their roster at the expense of bringing in over the hill has beens and keeping the title on JJ means that I don't feel particularly obliged to help them stay in business.

Agreed. What'll probably happen - Nash and or Hall causes JJ to lose the title, setting up Nash vs JJ as the top feud for a month or two before the winner takes back the title.

IF they decide to put the title on him, they better have a well planned out follow-up designed to place him as a credible champion cause I don't think he's there yet myself. Having him win in anyway less than clean will kill his run from the get-go.

The only way the Kings lose is in an Undertaker Stylee - ie, they'll beat the ever-loving shit out of the opposition and get DQed for the finish. Giving the tired, NWO-style bookig they've used for the KOW so far, I'd expect Savage or Hardy to turn.

I remain...unconvinced...about that buyrate news but if it's true then fair play to all invovled.
