Not necessarily. I think the average fan is starting to come around on that lately. They may not be way into the workrate gods, but they are definitely tuning out worthless lunks like Tomko, Heidenreich, Suzuki, Nathan Jones.

No problems here.

This is what I have concluded with last night's raw. Orton winning just doesn't seem plausible how it's been done. Of course, this could be by design and "shock" us with a win. I wouldn't have thought Eddie losing every big match to JBL would be plausible, yet here we are.

Yang is American, of Korean descent.

Depends on the league scoring system. If a player gets points for each of running/receiveing/returning, it might make sense to use him as a starter. The league I'm in doesn't attribute return stats to a partic. player, so that's why I wouldn't use him as a starter.

1) Rudi, on the assumption last year wasn't a fluke. NE doesn't really rely on the run too much, although that could change this year w/ a legit #1 RB. 2) Don't know enough here. 3) Green > Hasselback > Favre 4) Tough choice. I'd lean towards Vick, since I think he'll run more than McNabb. McNabb could have a good throwing year now that he has Owens, but the Eagles generally don't put the ball up a lot. 5) He won't be a starter for the Eagles, IMO. I'm asusming the Eagles will do the RB-by-committee thing they did last year (pinjockey may be able to answer that question, though), so I don't know how many touches he'll get. I'd take him with a mid-to-later round pick (if available), but I wouldn't draft him with the purpose of making him a starter.

I threw in the Dragon Screw and Toe Hold to go along with that idea.

Not necessarily. For (6) you just make sure to place the foot on the rope, so the force is absorbed by the ankle (similar to how #9 would work). For (7), you just make sure the ankle comes (or close to it) absorbs the blow, rather than higher up towards the knee. It doesn't even need to be exactly on the ankle, as weakening the general ankle area would be sufficient. Luther Reigns runs distraction on the ref, and Kurt slips in a quick shot from the chair. For some more wrestling-oriented stuff, he could mix in some Dragon Screw Leg Whips, maybe Terry Funk's step-over toe-hold.

Mine's "forest green", and it's the sorta-sporty version, meaning it came with a little spoiler on the back.

1) stomps and/or knee drops and/or elbow drops to the ankle 2) drag guy to apron, slam foot/ankle onto apron 3) drag guy outside ring, slam foot/ankle onto floor 4) drag guy outside ring, slam foot/ankle onto ring steps 5) drag guy outside ring, slam foot/ankle ring post 6) drag guy to ropes, place leg on bottom rope, jump up & land on the leg (usually a knee-related move, but can be sold as working the ankle) 7) the "lower leg atomic drop" (again, usually used to work on the knee, but can be sold as working the ankle, too) 8) chair shot to ankle 9) drag guy to the ropes, place leg on the bottom rope, go outside the ring & pull down on the foot

The OAO Hard Sell for SummerSlam thread 08.09.04
Spaceman Spiff replied to BHK's topic in The WWE Folder
What an odd way to end Raw. Instead of focusing on Orton/Benoit, the focus is on Eugene/HHH. And they're planning on putting the title on Orton? Orton/Benoit should have been the last thing we saw as the show was going off the air. -
The Sunday Night Heat Thread For Today
Spaceman Spiff replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Supposedly he had heat w/ some people in the SD lockerroom, which I'm guessing would be the likes of Holly, Bradshaw ("losing their spots" guys). But I agree, he'd be better off on SD. I'm loving Stamboli/Nunzio, but I liked Stamboli/Palumbo (with Nunzio at ringside) a little bit more. -
Yes. They're walking around the dugout amidst a concoction of spit, tobacco juice, sunflower seeds, and whatever else, not to mention walking on the field.

I hardly ever get sick. Last time I was ill was probably ~1 year ago, and even then it was for less than a day.

Wow, the Dolphins are gonna SUCK this year. Aw, jeez, the punches just keep coming. On the bright side, at least I won't have to be teased all season only to be punched in the gut in December. Unless they can work a great deal, I'd prefer they hold on to him. His being on the field ensures Jason Taylor won't get double-teamed all the time, and a pass-rushing stud isn't something you should casually toss aside. Chances are, the Dolphins are gonna blow this year, so a good draft pick should be coming. Sign Edgerrin next year, draft smart, dump Wannstedt, and hopefully things are looking up for next year.

Velocity thought: -Suzuki/Moore was blah. Shannon looked good, but Suzuki is still awful. Shannon was throwing some damn fine forearms. -FBI backstage segment was good. -FBI vs. Knoble/Chavo was good. Would have liked to have seen it get a bit more time. Nice to see the FBI getting over as faces, just wish they'd get a push out of it. -Book/Gunn was mediocre. A bit too slow, and dragged a lot.

So, they'll take an un-over heel, and turn him into an un-over face? BRILLIANT!

I'm still getting mileage out of "exemplarary", and "nucular" always draws a chuckle.

Roster Update for WWE Day of Reckoning

No Jamie Knoble? Bah! -
Wow - Phillies have 4 HR's so far through 2 innings. 5-0 Phils over Dodgers.

You're just being ridiculous. If one of Bill Gates's top managers tenders his resignation, Johnny Mid-Level Programmer isn't going to start thinking about possible replacements. While not exactly the same set of circumstances, the leader of the country has a different set of responsibilties/expectations during a time of attack than a regular senator. I could say I'd possibly handle things differently than Bush did, when in fact I was sitting at my desk at work - that doesn't make me a liar. The fact that they had different jobs/duties is abolutely a key variable in the equation.

Booker T/ John Cena at SummerSlam...
Spaceman Spiff replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
They may still do the same thing here. Match 1 at Slam, matches 2-4 over the following SD's, then match 5 at the next PPV. And I, for 1, have been enjoying the Cena/Book matches/segments of matches over the last month. I've certainly enjoyed the stuff between these 2 more than Cena against any combo of Reigns/Suzuki/RVD. They seem to mesh well, and Book looks motivated again. Granted, they haven't been 5* masterpieces, but I've found them enjoyable. As long as they don't make them go 25 minutes every night, the matches should be fine. -
Usually I shoot for any combo of: cover songs, rare songs, great setlists, reportedly great shows, shows I attend. The "official bootlegs" are pretty cheap (~$15) for what you get.

So, here's a quick breakdown of what I've got: My CD's Nothing earth shattering, I know.
