    Which wrestlers have you meet?

Let's see..... Shane Douglas - pretty cool guy Justin Credible - pretty cool too Raven - kind of a dick, but I think he was high Kevin Nash - funny, looking to get head from Missy Hyatt and have some beer DDP - really cool, takes time to talk like he's an average guy Chris Benoit - ok Dean Malenko - ok I actually had met Nash once before when he was one of the Master Blasters and my all time favorite meeting......Brian F'n Pillman it was The Great American Bash 95 I think. I was hoping for a Hollywood Blonds reunion and had brought my HB sign for 3rd row seats ringside. Pillman was fighting Alex Wright in the curtain jerker. Anyways, Pillman and Alex were signing autographs over at the table in the lobby when we got there, so I got my Hollywood Blonds sign autographed. He got a real kick out of the sign and talked withe me for a bit. When he came out for his match, he was slapping hands with the fans and points into the crowd at my sign and gives me the thumbs up. Then in the ring he gives me the old Hollywood Blonds "movie camera". Well I was ecstatic (and piss drunk as they were selling 24 oz beers for like $1.50). Greatest night of my life.
  6. People have always said that "Flair could have a ***** match with a broomstick." Once you recognize and understand the meaning of this statement, then you can understand the greatness that is Ric Flair. The man made people rise up to his level, no matter how bad. That is his true legacy.

    Christians IC title run.....

I think the new Christian rules! However, it will fail because of the usual WWE booking. He has the talent on the mic and passable ring skills to get the job done, but he has to be booked right for him to rise to the level of a Jericho.

The One And Only Raw Thread

Fuck HHH. Do you know how apeshit that crowd would have gone if Flair had won? You know that's twice that they've given a PPV caliber storyline/match away for free on TV. Fuck the WWE. I swear my left nut could do better booking. At least my left nut would have Jericho going over Mitch Greenburg (Fuck Greenburg), yeah.......like THAT's gonna happen!!

    my opinion on TNA

You know, I'm not really sure how to take TNA anymore. There seems to be a real lack of direction that I think hurts the company. There seems to be a lot of booking on the fly and banking on the "surprise guest fo the week" to draw viewers in. Workers are not matched up well (Dusty in a ladder match with Lawler?!?!) and storylines are addressed one week and forgotten for several. I understand that its hard to lock down all the indy workers, but there are several people that just need to stay in TNA if they are going to succeed. There have recently been some GREAT pickups in my opinion. Raven, D-Lo, etc. But I really want to see some consistant appearances and some consistant booking. They have a core of really talented workers that they need to focus on: Jarret, Killings, AJ, Lynn, Raven, D-Lo, Skipper, Daniels, Low Ki. They could greatly benefit from regualr appearances by guys like Steve Corino or Barry windham. They've also got some gems like AMW and some X guys. But they've also got some deadweight: Flair, Harrises, Sandman. People like that are okay for shock value, but then dump them afterwards if you have nothing good for them. I think part of the problem lies in that they seem to have too many storylines and they're throwing them at the wall to see what will stick. I love TNA and hope it one day brings the NWA back to its former glory, but thats not gonna happen unless some solid direction is taken soon, in my opinion. Thoughts? And please no flames, I just want a good debate/discusssion. Thanks Geoff

    my opinion on TNA

I agree with you Dames, their booking seems to bank on the name of the workers instead of the actual storyline.

    EWR 3.0 is now available~!

Another good trick is to spend the max on Advertising and it will raise your PI pretty good dueing the month...then right before the end of the month, lower it back down to a small amount
  20. Guys, I'm close to finishing up my MBA and have a multitude of consulting jobs that are going to provide me with some disposable income in the next several years. I've been a lifelong wrestling fan and am seriously interested in the behind the scenes work of running a promotion. I would really like it if you guys would chime in with opinions or advice as to what you think makes a good promotion: types of wrestlers you want to see types of booking (sports ent., southern style, hardcore, etc.) Types of matches things that you like/hate about current and past products ideas on merchandising, music, distribution. hell, any opinion is a good one to me. thanks and looking forward to your opinions. Geoff

    Fantasy Booking Contest

I was wondering if anybody would be up for a little fantasy booking contest? We could get a set number of players, hold a fantasy draft, and edit our promotions to see who can book the best program? We could do a month per week for a 12 week period and see who has the most success (public image, money, feuds, etc.) What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
