It has the freaking free agent list from Stats. Can you name any free agents who got a letter that didn't play half of this season? Come on.. Ibanez is a Type A free agent and the Royals get the Mariners first round pick.

http://www.battersbox.ca/archives/00001164.shtml Raul is Type A so are Brent Mayne, Vinny Castilla, Ellis Burks and Jose Hernandez

I think I found one of the more incredible turn-arounds of the year. At Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane are on their way to a bowl game and they are 7-4 so far under new head coach Steve Kragthorpe. 7-4 after 1-11 and 1-10 seasons, and a stretch where the team won once in 24 games (that stretch ended this year). I'd say that Kragthorpe is doing a very good job at Tulsa. His team is projected to be going to the Hawaii Bowl. BTW, why is there a Fort Worth Bowl anyways? Does the world need a game between KU and Houston on the campus of TCU?

Um.. no. Ibanez was a type A free agent. "It's the second year in a row the Mariners have wasted a first-round pick. Last year, it was Greg Colbrunn, whoended up collecting dust on the bench and then getting hurt. The Royals weren't going to offer Ibanez arbitration, so all the Mariners had to do was wait three weeks to sign him and they wouldn't have had to give up the pick."
-
Ibanez goes to the Mariners 13 million for 3 years. But, it's because he "really wants to play in Seattle". Not because "They're going to overpay me". And the Royals get the Mariners first round pick in 2004 since Seattle couldn't wait.

errmm.. maybe he has 6 TD passes. oops.
-
Flyboy: OU 66, Texas Tech 42. Symons gets 7 touchdown passes somehow, but only ties the record.
-
well, it's been 14 years since Missouri's won a game in Manhattan, Kansas. and Missouri has lost every road game in Big 12 conference play this year. As well.. MU doesn't have much defense against the pass, and KSU's defense is much better than Missouri's. Fun fact: Total Defense- KSU: #5 (271 yards per game) Mizzou: #62 (379 yards per game)
-
Mizzou/K-State week fun Missouri fan to KSU fans: "You guys are a joke, always have been and always will be. Your history is the last ten years and you haven't won anything" well.. KSU has beaten Missouri in 10 straight games.
-
Your early lines! KSU by 15 1/2 over Missouri Tech v. Oklahoma should be fun.. OU 66, Tech 31. Symons breaks some more NCAA records but he is not going to throw 8 touchdown passes and break Klingler's record

Interesting stuff is bolded, comments are italicized in brackets http://www.nyyfans.com/article/8075/ OMG!

so.. would the Rangers have lost 120 games without the magnificent ARod?
-
who's the 'Conference USA guy'?
-
I'm for K-State and Arkansas but I am not an SEC guy I want Arkansas in the Big 12
-
http://bengals.enquirer.com/2003/11/10/wwwben1nte.html Uh huh.. your team, the team that still has problems decisively beating the Texans, will beat Kansas City at home. Rrrrrrrright..

Somebody call the Wahbulance! the Media is screwing the great 5-5 Bengals!

Bengals reciever guarantees win over the Chiefs

I hope this week revolves around "The Fundamentals of tackling and pass rushing" Jon Kitna was way too comfortable out there -
I'm going to object to Texas in the Fiesta Bowl. For one, who the hell did they ever beat convincingly? KSU was a close game, Tech was close. Do they get points for blowing away OSU? or Rice? or Tulane? Does the computer give Texas some SOS since they played Oklahoma? even if OU whupped the bullshit out of them? Go A&M!
-
which 4 or 8 teams would you put in the tourney this year?
-
Texas is in the top 10? Who the hell did Texas beat? they lost to Arkansas, they lost to Oklahoma (big time) they're getting points for beating Nebraska?

Bengals reciever guarantees win over the Chiefs

Yeah.. you shut down KC in the first half. And then your superteam burned Eric Warfield, the worst cornerback in the NFL, for that TD. I hope the proceeds from today's win will go to growing some grass in Paul Brown stadium. Then again, maybe the Bengals need to make their stadium a place where nobody can get footing. -
Hey Choken, you going to mail a turkey to Eric Warfield to thank him for handing the game to the Bengals today? I think Warfield thought he was playing touch football out there
-
they should move the Big 12 basketball tourney back to KC also
-
BTW.. A&M deserves a few beatings for that Big 12 title game in 1998. The Title Game should stay in Kansas City. It's a city that's a reasonable center for the league. Plus, it's a big stadium and a a great town. Fuck San Antonio, St. Louis and Denver. If only Snyder didn't run a QB draw in the 4th with Schwinn against Marshall

K-State has a shot.. if they saw what Baylor did to OU. Baylor blitzed OU and actually made them look bad. (Granted, OU was up by 30 at the time). Still, against the best team in the nation, you have to find a weakness. Remember OU/K-State in 2000? Game 2 came down to the wire. I think K-State got to go to San Diego for their games against the National Champs. The projection is K-State v. Ole Miss for the Cotton Bowl, but you know the Cotton Bowl will go for a Texas school first. Like 1998. If K-State wins, OU will definately stay in the title game. Unless it's a total asswhupping.
