Anybody else ever heard of the Gandharvas? I downloaded some stuff of theirs after hearing their cover of "Time after Time" on the radio. Well, I haven't found "Time After Time", but I did find that their last album was made in 1998. Here's the stuff I have from them: Bundle, Downtime, First Day of Spring, Sasaparilla, The Coffee Song, Watching the Girl And they probably take the title of "most obscure band I have multiple MP3s of" from Control Machete. Although Control Machete did have a song featured in the Super Bowl ("Si Senor")

Someone got a copy of Blue Orchid and got it to the station here (96.5). So they've played it over and over and i'm sorta neutral on it right now. Basically the chorus is like We had a relationship random lyrics (since the station played the song again) "You got a reaction, You got a reaction" "You tickled my orchid. You tickled my orchid and turned it blue" And now the guy doing the show is playing various other songs that he got cease & desists from companies for playing, since he'll probably get one for playing Blue Orchid

Frey Tormenta Look into it -
I downloaded a track called "Hot Rats" that turned out to be "It Must Be A Camel." With repeated listening, "Big Swifty" is clawing its way into my heart. I still love "Waka/Jawaka" though. I bought Uncle Meat today. It feels like one that I'll have to listen to a few times, but once I do, I'll treasure it for all time. Sort of like Weasels Ripped My Flesh. Frank Zappa pwnage on old-school Crossfire. This is great stuff and the Washington Times guy is such an assclown too WT Guy: "It's about National Security" WT Guy: "Hitler used words well too" Fucking assclown

Privatizing the Weather Forecast Industry
Rob E Dangerously replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Yeah, we were better off before we knew what the weather was going to be. Will the Weather Channel sue to prevent people from looking outside since it might harm TWC business? -
http://www.mosnews.com/news/2005/04/22/monkeynazis.shtml Monkeys do equal funny. So, will they have Soviet monkeys re-enact the time that the Soviets blew the swastika off of one of the buildings in Berlin?

Bolton nomination looks to be in jeopardy
Rob E Dangerously replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
Well, the main part would be the "possible misunderstanding/deception" to the Senate in his testimony (as Hubbard claims). But the North Korea exchange was unique. Although I'm sure it's nothing new for the North Koreans to use the phrase "human scum".. they're probably the DDPs of the International Scene -

File this under "Bolton, possible problems, not related to him being mean": http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/na...-home-headlines (registration required) Although on thinking about it.. this does have something to do with El Toupee being mean. -
Well.. true.. but then again, the Lutherans are the OPs (Original Protestants) too I forgot what drove the Baptists and all the 1100 or so Protestant demoninations to form their own groups.
-
Yay Lutherans! (I have various family there, and I went to a youth group for Assemblies of God) But yeah, i'm pretty sure there's details that would keep me away from Catholicism, such as my belief in "cutting out the middle man" when it comes to confession and repentance and all that. There's probably some more stuff I'd hate too.

Non-Bias Attack: A gang of up to 30 black teens
Rob E Dangerously replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Current Events
There's nothing wrong if i'm sorta cynical on parts of this story, right? Something just doesn't seem right here. From what I can see on searches, other than the Brooklyn Skyline, there hasn't been any other coverage on it. Not one article on Google News (which goes back 30 days). If you do a search on "Kevin McGinn" bias, you'll find a split between people posting this story on messege boards and skinheads posting this in skinhead messege boards http://www.brooklynskyline.com/news_article.asp?na=1503 (You can sorta tell who's been getting this story from the letters) Doesn't it strike you as totally bizarre that not even conservative news sources have repeated this? Nothing from Newsmax, Nothing from WorldNetDaily, Nothing from CNS. All sources that would love the "Look, Hate Crime laws are unfair" stories Usually something this sensational will be repeated somehow by some other news source. I'm sure there'll be something that'll verify most of this, but the lack of coverage from anybody other than Brooklyn Skyline seems bizarre. It would not stun me if some of the details given were incorrect. But maybe this story is being "held down" and not given a "push" -
I just got an mp3 copy of "The Buzz Kill" (Sage Francis) and yeah.. it does rule

Is it considered 'proper form' to mention Matthew 24:42 though 24:44 after mentioning how that theory is questionable? because that's what I did when a friend of mine mentioned it on her online journal dealie

Story #1: http://www.nbc13.com/news/4392605/detail.html Story #2: http://www.channelcincinnati.com/entertain...174/detail.html Story #3: http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/news/4..._12000204202005 It's a weird news trifecta for KCMO The Rabbi/Nazi fight sounds bizarre The guy who spit friggin tobacco juice at Jane Fonda was a jerk, just because chewing tobacco is one of the nastier things to try. And the ettiquette lesson story is just plain bizarre RobotJerk and myself are pleased at the KCMO media saturation.

Well, I would like $2500, especially since that means I'd have enough extra money to go to Hooter's for lunch. But, I guess it'd cover most of the costs for the colleges in Missouri.
-
Weirdly enough, the board claims the last reply was my one at 10am and not the one at 3pm
-
$2500 doesn't seem like much when it comes to Missouri

Texas Legislators vote to ban gay foster parents
Rob E Dangerously replied to SuperJerk's topic in Current Events
KKK, Cerebus is in Connecticut. And this bill is pretty much unenforceable. How will you prove someone is gay? spying on them? testimony from whoever agrees with that? What? -
