  1. im new to NWA:TNA (being from the UK).

I was just wondering what the best matches are thought to be (in the history of this promotion) so that i could try and get hold of some of them.

Im almost finished d/l The X match (elimination match) between: Jerry Lynn/Low Ki/Psicosis/AJ Styles. Has this match ever been reviewed by a SMARK? whats the general opinion of it?

    cheers

  2. 3) Converting files that are .WMA or .RM are going to be impossible, so forget about it.

Ive used my program to convert .wmv before, so i know that works. (Without checking, im 95% sure it was TMPGE.) I actually converted it to .wmv first because of an incompatability with the .avi i had and the TMPGE program.

Im not sure about .rm though. Ive never tried it myself.

  3. "permagrinning".. indeeeeed, he is a HOSS lol

I think the problem is that i have the PAL version of the game. I have recently (since posting) discovered, that there is no blood in the PAL version of the game.

If this is true, it completely sucks becuase why bother having a first blood mathc, if there is no blood in the game? It sounds stupid, but it wouldnt supprise me if THQ have done it.

I will test the theory with some weak guys (with blood sett to frequent) like you have suggested

    thanks for the help

  4. Its not out here in the UK yet, but I played it at an Expo in London, and i was impressed.

The graphics and gameplay arent massive leaps from Tekken 3, but i was hooked to it straight away, and before i knew it there was a huge cue of people behind me telling me to move over cos i had been on the machine long enough, LOL!

If your a Tekken fan then definetly get it, as the new characters, Tekken Force and the addition of the walls as a weapon, add enough for you £40!

If your not a Tekken fan, then i would wait for Virtua Fighter 4, which is promising to be good.

The gameplay is not exactly the same, i only played it for about 30 mins, but the throw setup has definetly changed. I dont agree with it being changed too much anyway, it would make your time on the older games pointless. By leaving it similiar, you can use your old skills as well as learning new ones. I would agree that some additional modes wouldnt have gone a miss though.

The most annoying thing when i played it was the Lei Wulong wasnt a starting player, so i couldnt play as him at the Expo LOL.

I also love the new floppy hair for Paul LOL. Smalll change, but it made me laugh.

If you ask me, the old saying "If it aint broke, dont fix it!" fits perfectly when summing up Tekken 4. Its not a giant leap from Tekken Tag/Tekken 3, but being a Gamecube owner, its still light years ahead of anything on offer for my first choice of console.

    cheers

  5. I tried that one and no joy :-(

In one attempt at busting him open (and winning) i spent the first 10 minutes of the math ramming his head into walls, and the next ten minutes battering him with a chair (running attack), and he still didnt bust open.

There must be an answer to this (otherwise nobody would have been able to complete the game), however im buggered if i can find. He just will not bleed. I think its like the women in the game, he must be set to not bleed.

Maybe this is a programming error on the part of THQ, but as i say, that would mean that nobody would have been able to complete the game.

    anyone else got any ideas?

(Oh, i also tried resetting the game to get a different oponnent - as that often works - but due to the fact that the storyline is about a pool hall fight, you always get Bradshaw!)

  6. on WWF no mercy (for n64), i think i have found a glitch that seems impossible to solve.

Play the european belt as the champion, and win every match. You will eventually get a first blood match againt Bradshaw in the pool hall.

The thing is, it is impossible to make him bleed. If you hit his head repeatedly against the wall, he will eventuallu do the animation as if he were going to bleed (i.e hold his head and falls over) but no blood appears and you cant win the match.

    can anyone help?

    Cheers

  7. has anyone else been able to download the following files from the list?:

(96-08-05) Great Sasuke vs. Ultimo Dragon

Zandig vs Shadow WX @BJW WEC 2000

    NWA-TNA Shamrock vs. Sabu

STONE COLD vs BOOKER T SUPERMARKET FIGHT

    02-08-31_Goldberg_vs_Kea.avi

none of them seem to be workign for me. I managed to get a few matches on my slow 56k modem by using Download Accelerator plus, but none of the above seem to work for me.

Has anyone else had any success with these files?

  8. I was reading the thread about the best CZW shows, and so i decided to start an OVW one.

A few people gave some good advice about which CZW shows to look out for, so i thought you might be able to help me.

Im looking at buying some indy tapes, in particular OVW and FWA(Frontier Wrestling Alliance - based in England!)

Does any one have some tips as to which ones i should look out for and which ones i should avoid. (Same goes for which feds to look out for and which to avoid, lol).

    I much appreciate any help.

    Cheers

Personally, i have never been to an FWA event, but my interest in this show has been steadily increasing over the last few weeks. Does anyone know if the show will be on Portsmouth TV? If so, will anyone be able to capture it and get it online for d/l? Unfortunately, i do not live in Portsmouth, so i will not be able to see it.

Any views, thoughts or popinions on the show? Post them here?

Plus how many of you are going? Have you been to an FWA event beofre? And are they worth the (seemingly expensive) tickect price?
