    Carlito's petition

Do you really want to put him on TV and in the ring after 8 weeks of training? They had far LESS time than the Tough Enough 1, 2 & 3 kids to train and yet all of the others went to OVW for at least a few months. The only logical reason why they should keep him on TV (but then again, this is WWE that we're talking about) is to keep his face on TV until the Royal Rumble, where he'll promptly get his ass kicked by someone in the Rumble and shafted to OVW, I hope. Carlito's petition

Ok, include the fact that he's got people signing a petition and you can very well do my idea then. I was at the Smackdown taping, btw, in the 2nd row by the right side ramp. Dames

EWR presents: Two Guys And Some Ladders

Wow. Just wow. I hope the fans that were there sure appreciated the match. I enjoyed the music in the video package. It's not your typical wrestling music (mostly rock...or Creed), but still gave a sense of urgency in the match. Dames

    Live Smackdown Report

Not exactly...since he was put in a casket, it could be considered his last appearance on TV with no real reason to explain it after that. Dames

    Live Smackdown Report

Jesus, this guy has got NOTHING. I mean, despite the fact that Cena's not a terribly good worker or anything, I kind of like the guy, but he really does make it hard to be a fan of his with this lame shit. It wasn't nearly as bad as it sounds. It was quite entertaining actually, but then again, it all depends on how its aired on TV. The crowd definitely was into Cena though, he got the biggest pop by far on the show, even better than Takers. Dames

    Live Smackdown Report

Hmm, I suppose so, though why Angle needed to be in his underwear and Luther and Jindrak needed to be beaten up again, I'll never understand. Angle was in his underwear because Angle always gets great reactions when put in comically embarassing situations. As for why Luther & Jindrak were beaten up as well, Show already proved at the PPV that he can beat all 3 of them at the same time and they aren't the ones in the main event, so they don't need to be protected. Live Smackdown Report

*Slaps forehead* Other than the Rey-Eddie match, this show brings a new meaning to the term pointless. I was at the show as well, (2nd row!) and the segment wasn't pointless as it was revealed later on that it was a plot by JBL to have his two challengers at the Rumble to be at each others throats. The Diva that was spit on by Carlito was Joy, which is why she was in the shower when Angle went in there looking for Weber. Dames

    TV Plug & Play Games

I'm a HUGE fan of Ms. Pac Man. Always have been and always will be. Every time I see a machine, I must put in a quarter and top the high score...and I almost always do. I've always wanted to purchase one of the original Ms. Pac Man machines and I do hope to have one in the future... But I got the TV Plug & Play Ms. Pac Man for Xmas. You know the one...you put the A/V cables into the TV and there you are, you're playing. So far...here's the positives. 1. It's Ms. Pac Man. 2. It comes with 5 games total, including Galaga & Pole Position. Here's the negatives. 1. The joystick is an unresponsive piece of shit that can't move up or down whenever necessary. 2. It's not an EXACT replica of the Ms. Pac Man arcade game. As a lover of said game, there are a few noticable differences which irk me. 3. Due to the joystick's poor control, you can't help but fucking die. It's frustrating at a game that you know you're really good at. ....So, am I the only person who's noticed this or is my "console" a defective one? Dames

    Paul Heyman Released

Eh, I wouldn't believe it either if I wasn't actually there. That's one of the main reasons why I didn't make it a big deal back then. Keep in mind that this was almost 5 years ago and I've got nothing to gain from it at this point. If you believe me, great. If not, so what? My life isn't any better over it. Dames

  11. I'm really excited about next Sunday's Raw PPV, not so much because of the matches themselves, but because they're going to be in Puerto Rico with a super hot crowd. Unfortunately for them, Carlito isn't part of the Raw roster, but it hit me like a ton of bricks after SD this past week that they could easily work him into the PPV. His new storyline is that he wants to get Teddy Long out of office as SD GM. They can easily say that Carlito was back home in P.R. recouping his shoulder injury and he appears in a backstage segment, looking for Eric Bischoff. He finds him and tells him a little bit about his plan and Bischoff seems interested (since they shot a couple of angles at the last 2 interpromotional PPV's about Bischoff & Long). Since Bischoff is more like a tweener right now and not a full fledged face, the fans would buy it. That's enough to pop the fans and add a dimension to his storyline. Just to add to that, lets say that Carlito happens to spit in someone's face from the Raw roster. He'll get the heel heat, but he won't be able to get his comeuppance since he's on SD...until the draft happens after Mania and you got yourself another feud there. Just spouting off ideas, what do you guys think? Dames

FYI, I just sent Barron a copy of the original draft of my script. I'm leaving for a few hours so just ask him about what's on it and how it makes SENSE... Dames

As is Triple H. Shooting Star, am I wrong here? Our people still believe in Kayfabe for the most part, don't they? Dames

    Paul Heyman Released

I don't remember the exact date, but I'm pretty sure that it was either the Smackdown after FULLY LOADED 2000 or the one after that. I need to read the results again to figure it out. You should have seen my face the night that aired. I marked out for 2 hours straight before realizing later on down the line that I'd never get any credit for it. Dames After researching through Cawthon's results site, I was actually wrong about the timeline. Keep in mind that it has been 4 and a half years, ok. The Smackdown in question aired July 27, 2000 and was building up to SummerSlam 2000, which is how he brought up how he had the script for it in the bag on one of the occasions I was there. I remember distinctly because I wrote this great promo for a stable that Shane had started with Big Show, Benoit & Kurt Angle that was dissolved shortly after. I was pissed about that one... That makes a hell of a lot more sense since I was already back in college at the end of August...damn, my memory is shot. Dames

Oh, I told everyone back when I first started posting, but no one ever heard of Gerwitz at that point and pretty much told me I was full of shit. I still have the autograph to prove it, but its in NYC and I never scanned it. I'll bring it up next time. Dames

  17. To the average fan, Steamboat does not get credit, simply because WWE is all that there is right now and he was never the WWE Champion. Until they actually acknowledge him as being the NWA Champion at one point of his career and having a great series of matches in the NWA, WWF/E only fans, if they remember him at all, will remember him for Steamboat/Savage and the stupid fire breathing Dragon gimmick. He is one guy that would definitely benefit from being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, in terms of having his legacy legimitized by the only wrestling company on a truly national scale at this point. Is WWF building to Batista/HHH at Wrestlemania?

I can definitely see that happening, but I have a feeling that it would be an inadvertant blow by Batista that causes Trips to fall into the RKO and the official turn would happen the next night on Raw. Dames

    TV Plug & Play Games

Yeah, that's another thing that I completely neglected to mention. When I play it in the arcades, I prefer the super fast version of the game. If it's too slow, it's just frustrating. Dames

    Carlito @ New Years Revolution?

I just wrote it on the last page of the Heyman released thread. As for Carlito, I bet they'll pop for him in one way or another if he were to show up since they consider WWE to be the big time & he wouldn't be expected to show up anyway. Dames

    Paul Heyman Released

Speaking of Brian Gerwitz, let me tell you a little story about him. I believe that I've mentioned this in the past, but Gerwitz has become an infamous name on the net lately, so allow me to reiterate. Back in the year 2000, I was still in NYC, working in Times Square at the Virgin Megastore during summer vacations from college. I would always come in to WWF NY for Raw & SD and of course as a lot of you know, I've always wanted to be involved in the WWE creative team somehow. One night, I was there and Michael Hayes was doing a one on one Q&A sessions on one of the lamer "Superstar" nights that they always had every Monday & Thursday. It didn't even make TV. BUT...he did mention that he was part of the creative team, along with a guy named Brian, who he then asked to stand up. I was like a hawk when I noticed the guy as I approached him the minute he was leaving so I could talk to him. I didn't want to interrupt the guy during dinner or anything, you know. Anyway, I knew he had to leave so I simply told him that I've always wanted to be on the creative team and immediately spouted off some ideas. He told me that he would come to WWF NY every week to watch crowd reactions, most notably, the kiss between Angle & Steph in Summer of 2000, which he told me he wrote. He even told me that he had the SummerSlam script in his bag, but I didn't dare ask him to see it. So, I'd say for a couple of weeks, I would always head over there and try to find him. Most of the time, we would chat and discuss the company, etc. He told me how when he travels, he's always with the McMahons, so much so that when fans asked for autographs, they'd ask him as well, thinking he was a long lost son that never made TV or something. I then asked him for an autograph and he was like "Really? Why?" I told him that he does what I've always wanted to do, so I admire that. He signed one of those generic WWF autograph mats that read "Keep writing, Brian Gerwitz". Eventually, I brought him a script for a SD show, booked top to bottom based on the previous weeks show. I gave it to him and he looked it over...and told me that as long as I finished college, he'd try and hook me up with an internship on the writing team, which was something I was TRYING to get! To this day, I still regret being a total dumbass and not finishing college. But that's another story. Anyway, the next week on Smackdown, 90% of my script was used on the next show...from match order, to finishes to back stage segments. Obviously, something was edited, I don't remember what, but I remember marking out like crazy. To make a long story short, he ended up moving up as the head of Raw, and I only saw Brian a couple of times before that since WWF NY didn't last too much longer. I dropped out of college to do nothing for years and I used to brag all the time about one of my connects to the writing team...even here on TSM. Now, years later, I've come to realize that I'm a fucking better writer than he is, he probably took credit for my script. I don't want to cry over spilled milk, but I wish I could just talk to Heyman for a while, show him my talents, tell him this story and just work with the guy in some capacity. I know he hates Gerwitz and he'd probably get some sort of satisfaction of knowing this. By the way, for those of you who still don't know what he looks like, he was in a backstage segment in the year 2000. Remember that scene where Saturn & Malenko went out on a double date with Terri Runnels and some chick for Malenko? Saturn ended up getting crayons for dinner....Gerwitz was the waiter. Dames

    Carlito @ New Years Revolution?

Don't get me wrong Jason, Carlito would be on SD this whole time. He would make this one and only appearance on a Raw PPV, get people talking & interact with them again only at the Rumble. Last Boy Scout, to answer your question, absolutely, because the Puerto Rican crowds are SERIOUSLY into kayfabe (I am Puerto Rican...trust me) and Carlito is a heel in P.R. so all it will do is give him mega heat. Win/win there. Dames
  25. Actually Dames, CHRISTIAN won the battle royal. He retained, after a DQ loss, against Book at Bad Blood. They had a few TV matches with Book getting screwed, before he finally won on Raw. Then, Book got screwed up, and dropped it at a house show a couple of weeks before SummerSlam. You're totally right. The last year and a half has been an absolute blur. Dames
