Can't believe I didn't see this thread till now. Anyway, Duran Duran are fucking fantastic and you should worship them as gods, Peter Gabrial is great also, Police are good but Sting solo is rubbish. I have to say you are missing some quality bands like Soft Cell, Japan, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy and Blondie (even though they started to get really big in the 70's, I still consider them an 80's band, plus Debbie Harry back then )

I think its safe to say that these kids have no values. Im just fucking sick of it, that little bastards like this all over the world do stuff like this, and most of the time get away with a slap on the wrist. 10 years ago it would be once in a blue moon this sort of thing would happen, now it seems to be every week this sort of thing happens. The thing is these kids don't care what happens to them. I say a documentary on joyriders in Northern Ireland, and he kids didn't care that the IRA was going to kneecap them if they continued this, because they don't care about themselves, let alone anyone else. This generation may be to far gone to do anything about, I just dread to think what their children will be like.

I think that there needs to be a serious look at how children are brought up and how they are treated by the law. Personnaly I blame the parents.

Its the same everywhere now, kids just don't care anymore what they do. Its gone WELL past the point of kids not knowing right from wrong, this was savage brutality, pure and simple. I see stuff like this all the time where I live, although not to this level. I've seen kids siffing glue in the middle of Belfast City centre and the police not lift a finger, and i've seen teenage mothers beat their children and swear at them in the middle of the street. Im really thinking that its time to sterilize the underclass.

All the best jokes are offensive to at least one person, I really don't see anything really bad here. Like Mel Brooks says "Tragedy is when I cut my finger, comedy is when you fall down an open manhole and die"

Whats his record on domestic affairs like? Wasn't there some tax cuts or something which went really badly or was I misinformed?

I would see it as a lesser form of what happens in the Middle East, but the similarity is there. Just because we are more civilized dosen't mean that the base urges are not there

Thats certainly not the problem. Im just very feminine apparantly (this is according to my girlfriend) but it dosen't bother me since I always have been.

The thing that always got me was the whole cowardly French thing. While its true in WW2 that the French crumbled at the start of the attack, the longer it went on the stiffer the defense, it was hardly the mass capitulation that everyone thinks it was. The only reason the French stopped fighting was because of the loyalty to the Petain government. The French citizens who did not agree with that formed the resistence and the Free French Army, hardly cowardly actions in my eyes.

Every since I visited France 2 years ago I have been in love with that country. I really don't see what is wrong with it, and I have found peoples opinions on them to be quite misinformed from time to time.
