But Edge speared Eddy without even a flinch with his worked on arm. And RVD's arm wasn't dead he didn't do anything overly drastic with it.

Season Premiere??? So they're saying all that has come before was just filler and this show is the one to watch? and why are they just now having an Angle/Mysterio rematch?

Alright Smackdown is about to start. Where is everyone?

It didn't seem like RVD was lost to me, but maybe it's just me. I'll agree during most of the match Edge was selling great, but he no-sold the whole match in the end with the spear. I liked the RVD/Benoit match from SummerSlam. I always thought RVD sold okay. He's pretty good at making pained looking faces and looking like he's had the shit kicked out of him. Pretty much the only complaint I have with RVD's selling is when he still leaps to the top rope at the end of a grueling match. He should attempt it a couple of times before realizing he's too worn out and then just climb normally. He did a good job in one spot where instead of leaping all the way up he showed some fatigue by only doing a little hop to like the first or second rope for his jumping kick.

Once the show begins it will get better.

Thing is the WWE is losing money too. and if ratings don't improve that means less people are watching, which means less money. Ratings may not matter, but they are a testament of how the other business aspects are doing. I'm somewhat confused with the WWE. They say that they know the product isn't up to par. Yet they don't listen to the fans. They say they're going to listen to the fans. Then Stephanie gets on a radio show and says that the Gay Wedding is the WWE's idea of listening to the fans. I'd sure like to find out what fans said they wanted that.

Then there's the fact that RVD is main eventing Unforgiven for a useless title. We hear that Angle will be main eventing WrestleMania, but is anyone willing to wait that long if the product is only going to get worse in the meantime? And since when does the WWE book that far ahead? Does PWI still put out their almanacs? I still have a PWI Almanac from 1997 that covers up through the end of 96.

Wow it's 45 min till Smackdown and there hasn't been a new post on here in awhile. The RAW thread had 3 pages before the show even started. It sure does look like millions of fans are anxiously awaiting Smackdown to me. Okay I'll drop the sarcasm. Plus I know what happens too.

I hated Unforgiven 99. It had the horrid Kennel from Hell match...the stupid Ref's on strike storyline...and a Main Event that left a lot to be desired.

Maybe it's just that Christian's matches seem to flow better than Edge's to me. Maybe it's Christian's transition work. RVD sells throughout the match pretty well. It's mostly when he goes for the 5 star and does that leap to the top rope even though he's hurt. I just don't get much out of Edge for some reason.

Edge is NOT better than Christian. Christian has a deeper moveset and better promos. Edge just happened to get the push instead of Christian. I'd even say he's not better than RVD. Edge's no-selling is worse than RVD in my eyes. Cause while RVD does some no-selling his usually doesn't make the whole match look rediculous in the process like Edge's does. Plus RVD takes some wicked head-bumps and sells them well. I really think RVD's "no-selling" gets blown out of proportion. I just don't get the popularity of Edge. He is gangly looking. His promos are almost laughably bad. And most of his matches are spears. Plus the Edge-a-cution is a little rediculous seeing as his opponent pretty much jumps of their own free will into a ddt.

I know, but then again the flaming was going on before he started this thread. This thread was mostly started to get it out of the Most Usless Posters thread since it was taking over the whole thread. So I can see why it was started. oh and thanks.......yes Viva La Parka!!!! and you don't have to flame him....it's quite frankly becoming quite stupid. Everyone has seemed to have run out of ideas to flame him for so that's why I suggest we go back to flaming Cutthroat cause you can never run out of stuff for him.
