  1. that's all i've got because i've never seen him before

Anyway, between Kennedy and Batista, it just goes to show you: when TSM loves you for a ridiculous reason in spite of talent, your back tears in half. Thank you and good night.

    How does that work?

My presumption is that Czech intended it to imply in spite of a lack of talent ... but I might be wrong.

That's what I presumed as well, but how would he know if he's talented (or not) if he hasn't seen him?

  2. I wonder how Vince will react to the fans booing the Elimination Chamber idea.

I've never really been a fan of the Elimination Chamber, but he really shouldn't use the reaction tonight as a indicator of what the buyrates will be like for New Year's Revolution. Bischoff made it clear that the Elimination Chamber was his baby and thus the crowd was torn on how they should react.

  3. Damn they are really stretching for people for this show - I can already see the first episode where abso-fuckin-lutely NOBODY in the house knows who the fuck Maven is.

If they were going to get a wrestler, why not some semi-household name from the 80s, like it seems to be the theme with all of the others?

    Who is Harwell and Lowell?

I'm pretty sure Steve Harwell is the frontman of Smashmouth. No idea who Andrea Lowell is.

  4. By not using generic stupid gags like shitty Anchorman and Dodgeball and relying on Hollywood wannabes like Ferell and Vaughn, who had one decently funny flick in "Old School" to provide "guaranteed laughs", which instead produced lame crap.

(Altho I've heard Vaughn redeems himself tremendously in Wedding Crashers, don't bash my opinion b/c of that film, haven't seen it).

40-Yr is smart, and needs to be seen multiple times just to catch all the insults and humorous subplots, IMO.  It differs from SNL because of its ORIGINAL humor, and not "oh, I see where this joke is going" funny.

I disagree. The "vulgar senior citizen" character in the movie is cliche and hardly original. I enjoyed the movie, but I think it's been a little overrated.

  5. Not a fan, but his promo skills are pretty good. Comparatively speaking that is.

I agree. Master's looks like one of the most comfortable guys on the mic these days. I like these Masterlock segments better than the run-of-the-mill squash matches they had him doing for the first week or two.

  6. No matter how they may try to look at it, the two-PPVs-in-a-month experiment was a bust for WWE. In numbers released by the company, the 10/3 No Mercy PPV did about 190,000 buys while Taboo Tuesday did about 170,000 buys. These are the first two shows in company history to do less than 225,000 buys and say a lot about the state of WWE’s business. While WWE will still make money from the shows, it’s becoming pretty clear that there is a saturation point for WWE events and they have probably found it.

Would it kill Dave Scherer to just report the news for a change and save the commentary for the WWE PR department as well as the fans in chat rooms and message boards such as this one? I swear to God, I see this same exact paragraph every month after a new Pay Per View buy rate comes in or every week after the ratings for RAW are released. I honestly don't give a shit whether he feels the show was a bust or not. The WWE is doing poor business ... we get it.

  7. Jericho should play up Edge getting booed last night, call him out, and get the better of him in a fight, only for Christian to come out and make the save for Edge with a chair shot. Edge can look like he's pissed at his brother, only to get another chair and... CON-CHAIR-TO! E&C are back together.

You know, before, I was against a E&C reunion. But really, as long as they're not a tag team, I wouldn't mind a little stable with E&C, Trish, and Tomko. Especially since Evolution looks to be breaking up soon...

Have them dump Tomko and I'm right there with you.

  8. Yes, he said he wanted change, but why? His anger seemed so misplaced when he came out a couple months ago and berated Orton for running his mouth, and tonight was much of the same. He needs to spell out his grievances rather than just rely on the fans standing behind him simply because Evolution is "bad" and he is "good."

I like Edge. I think he's capable of much better delivery than what we've seen since he returned. "You're going down" and "I don't like you" seem to indicate that he's dumbed down his promos a bit.

  9. I wonder if the same people writing the Eugene/HHH/Benoit story are the same people writing the Edge/Evolution story. So far I have been given no reason to CARE about why Edge wants to systematically take out Evolution. His promo tonight was one of the more basic, cookie-cutter segments I've seen in a long time.
