Once Great Cable Channels That Have Gone Downhill
ChrisMWaters replied to TMC1982's topic in Television & Film
I figured I mention this here, since both the show I'm about to mention and the channel I'm about to mention were mentioned. Apparently, sometime last year, TBS set up a pilot episode for a reincarnation of Match Game. Would that get people here to watch that channel, I wonder? -
What will be the worst movie of 2009?
ChrisMWaters replied to Obi Chris Kenobi's topic in Television & Film
Had a twisted thought. If by some miracle Dragonball does well in theaters and a sequel or two are greenlit...I know who could do the voice for Frieza (assuming they go the Silver Surfer route for him) Tim Curry. -
Perhaps so. But then we would have lost the moment that ended WrestleMania X, with the faces at the time hoisting Bret onto their shoulders.

Getting Black Lushus started on how horrible the GI Joe flick is turni
ChrisMWaters replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in Television & Film
I'd like a re-release of the G.I. Joe animated movie that also has the pre-episode plugs by Sgt. Slaughter when the movie was broken down into a bunch of episodes. ...oh, and have it be a director's cut, that omits the "He's gone into a coma" line. -
WWE General Discussion - February 2009
ChrisMWaters replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Silence: Well, with Boogeyman...since they're marketing more to kids nowadays, kids like the gross-out factor. It's why Mike Shaw thought that Bastion Booger should have been a face insted of a heel. Also, it plays off how Jake "The Snake" Roberts would put Damien onto his fallen adversaries post-match...but with smaller, limbless organisms. -
I think you're really unobservant.

I think that happened when Nikolai Volkoff ran for a government position a few years back. -

The phrase plot hole should be banned from this forum OK then. Everyone, whenever you want to say "Plot Hole", say "Spoon" insted. -
King said the F-U is the "Attitude Adjuster"
-
Of course not. They're mystical brothers. They have a unique psychic connection that only turns off when they face each other in a match.
-
I like that, even though Kane is a heel, he can still have good talks with his brother. And this explains why he was allowed to win earlier tonight.
-
OK, another thought... Wouldn't paying HBK for...10-11 months for a one year contract SEVERELY hurt JBL financially? OK, that's all the plot holes or points I'm thinking of.
-
If I wanted to point out a plot point, I could... What if JBL died before HBK did?
-
I miss classic JBL.

Horribly since they wouldn't let Kong be Kong... See Bertha Faye. Well, I mean if they did it in an area where they both could display their skills. Hmm...Flair on Raw next week. Interesting.
-
Also...I may be twisted slightly...but I'd like to see how a Beth Phoenix/Awesome Kong match would go.
-
I'll hold off judgment. It HAS been almost 8 years ago on that.

So was I, but that's not TV PG now is it? That shouldn't mean anything. I've seen men hit women in shows LOWER than TV PG. ...OK, so it was goofy, choreographed fights in the original Power Rangers as a kid, but still.
-
it's a start...I think teddy needs to do more of a 'spiking' action of the opponent than just elevating his legs though or get them in a million dollar dream as soon as cody DDTs them from his arms Not all double team moves have to have two people doing something to hurt a person. The Doomsday Device just had Animal lifting someone onto his shoulders. Demolition's finisher just had one holding someone down for the other to drop the elbow.
-
I'm liking Priceless' team move there.
-
Maybe because the first match took place on TV, they can't have a PPV rematch for the title? Doesn't make too much sense, but that was my first thought of an answer.
-
Though lesser, his going from "Defending championship at Mania XX" to "Sumo Match at Mania 21" fall was kinda bad too.
-
I thought Heyman's plan was to have a "World vs. TV" feud, with RVD holding the TV Title...but RVD got injured before he got the chance.

Works in the Metroid series.
