Discussion: Possible DC Universe Movies
ChrisMWaters replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
[Coming from someone who owns and has read COIE] That would be crazy confusing, require a million different superheroes, and you'd in no way be able to explain any of the backstory. It would end up being batshit insane. So yes, it would be a very cool movie and I'd love to see it. Well, that's a vote of confidence...I think. I'm just curious how well animated the events of these two deaths would be. And I think my "Crisis" movie is better than an idea I had a few weeks ago. A movie based off...well...this: -

I just thought of a DC Animated movie they could do if they REALLY wanted to try something SUPER big. "Crisis on Infinite Earths" ...I mean, it can't be that much harder a project than New Frontier was, can it? [This is coming from someone whose extent with comics comes from other media and wikipedia.] -
Yeah, Joker's redesign was a little too out there. Thankfully they changed back for "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker" and "Justice League"

You must not have seen episodes like "Legend of the Dark Knight", "Over the Edge", and "Mad Love"

Yeah, it is looking pretty good. And if it sells well enough, it could possibly lead to a live-action one. -
Well, I'm just saying that these characters were there on television for people to watch. I can see why no one's ever heard of Black Mask, since he wasn't featured on the animated series, and the Ventriloquist was only in 2 episodes, so yeah, I can see why no one's heard of them. 3 if you count the style change that came about when "Superman: The Animated Series" debuted.

Hogan was already being booed in WCW at that point anyway by some people, and his popularity was waning. PLUS he was barely on TV leading up to when he turned.
-
Though it's not saying much... Scarecrow was also a member of the Legion of Doom in the SuperFriends series "The Challenge of the Super Friends" So those who watched that series, being older fans or younger ones who watched re-runs of that series, would know about Scarecrow as well.

I still say that Adamle should now come out to the old American Gladiator's theme.
-
Cena as a heel would be interesting. Plus, when Orton comes back, they could team again...which was a pretty good team that one night they teamed up against the rest of the Raw roster.
-
I only have one wish with Adamle as GM: Have him come out to the classic American Gladiators theme.
-
...Vickie laughs like a Female Joker. And I don't mean the good, Harley Quinn kind.
-
Construction problems: they already have a Hell in a Cell match. How could they have an Elimination Chamber as well?
-
I'm thinking that DiBiase and Rhodes faked the note by the new GM, and will be revealed about that later.
-
...Duggan getting a tag title shot.
-
Oh please, there's been much worse. I know that's an actual jersey, but on Batista it looks like a tube top. ..bruhaha, Cole?
-
And here we go with...Cena.

I didn't mean looks wise, I meant acting wise. -

One thing that I'd have to wonder... With Bizarro, being a clone of Superman, you have to get the person who plays Superman to play Bizarro. Could Brandon Routh do a Bizarro justice? -
Depending on if "Batman: Gotham Knight" is canon to "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight", Deadshot has been used. EDIT: RedJed, REALLY out there thought, but...maybe the anchorman character becomes The Creeper? ...like I said, really out there thought that came from re-watching the animated debut of The Creeper again recently.

Thought of a more obscure villain that could make it into this series of Bat movies. The Clock King. A very persision villain, scheduling everything to happen right at a certain point and such. Also, for the person that asked...they explained how Croc would work in this Bat-verse via "Batman: Gotham Knight". He was a man with a skin condition that Scarecrow did experiments on, leading him to file his own teeth into points.

The question is, how long can you keep this version of Batman away from the fantastical? I mean, if not them putting the actual villains that have such traits into the movies, then there's still the possibility of Batman crossing over to areas of the more fantastical...at the very least meeting Superman (which was talked about before either Batman Begins or Superman Returns was made). Just an idle thought...since I'm pretty sure DC will want to do a Justice League movie if Marvel's Avengers movie is any good.

I liked how he acted bad-ass in the Mortal Kombat: Armaggedon opening...before being punked out by Shao Khan and his hammer. ...damnit, now I'm mentally visualizing a Shao Khan/Darkseid match.
-
He would be one of the last people I could see in that role. Why not Steve Gutenberg? ...you're one of the Stonecutters, aren't you?

Poor Jax...
