Has there ever been a less-convincing title threat
ChrisMWaters replied to AnonymousBroccoli's topic in The WWE Folder
When he was first starting and getting multiple title shots...1-2-3 Kid. I remember him getting at least 2 WWF Title Shots in 1994. -
WWE catchphrases and sayings that need to die
ChrisMWaters replied to Youth N Asia's topic in The WWE Folder
Any catchphrase, promo, or line that is said to boost Triple H's status (unsuccessfully) I don't care what happens, if I by some chance get on one of those pre-show interviews asking "Who Will Win Lesnar/Holly?" or "Who Will Win HHH/HBK", I'm going to mention that Lesnar is the REAL World's Champion, ala Heenan about Flair in 92. Back on topic though: The Big Poppa Pump whole spiel is old. -
WWE RAW Off-Camera, Dark Match, Heat Taping Result

Guess they didn't want Dreamer in for the loud "ECW" chant he'd get. Damnit. -
Nope...last year was 90 seconds.

Eh, he's better than the LAST time he was a face. You know, with the colored tights of the week.

During the Royal Rumble, I'm going to shout out "CHRIS" just to see if Benoit puts the Sharpshooter on someone.

They gotta change something in the rumble
ChrisMWaters replied to Youth N Asia's topic in The WWE Folder
If you go by the rules of Rumbles like 93 or 90...yes, by Undertaker. Going by the 96 rules, no, he wasn't. hence why he got a title shot against Jericho. -
Rando...for that, you're the human experiment in "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Next Generation". Your first movie is "Battlefield: Earth" With a Rock 'N Wrestling episode as a short.

Neither do I, but it's the most logical explaination. -
She looks like Kirstie Alley playing Morticia, if you ask me.

They gotta change something in the rumble

I think someone explained that to me like this Rando: Bossman was going to attack a participant still in the Rumble match, and failed, hence why he wasn't let back in. Savage on the other hand was attacking someone eliminated from the match, so he was allowed. Don't remember who said that, but that was the explaination. -
Bah, you people are forgetting the obvious. McMahon would push the monster Jack...due to the fact that he's a Hoss. And those who don't know who Jack is, watch "The Muppet Movie" again sometime.

OK...they really got to make a Rumble Rulebook. Have the following rules: 1) Once your eliminated, you can't eliminate someone else still in the match. (like how they did with Vader in 1996) 2) People not in the Royal Rumble match can not eliminate participants in the rumble match. However, Rumble participants have Carte Blanche (spelling?) to eliminated non-participants however they feel...like Bossman to Taka Michinoku in 2000. 3) Something to clarify the self-elimination rule. Just so I feel better about that whole 1992 Rumble thing. 4) You MUST make an attempt to get to the ringside area before the count starts for the next participant, or you're automatically eliminated. That should work, shouldn't it? -
I thought it was Mo in 95...

It may look stupid but have somebody do it to you, it hurts like hell. The Berserker had the worst finisher ever, Gorilla Press Slams his opponent to the outside and has them counted out. In theory he could never win a title. But in theory also, he should have won both Royal Rumbles he was in, as that was his specialty.
-
Actually, that's a good finisher. I've put some people on my wrestling team in it before, and made them scream in pain. They had a headache the rest of the day after that.

We established a long time ago that you live in a sit-com. Aren't you the one that was able to fake an injury well enough to fool medical professionals? Not that I remember. I did fight through an injury before to compete in a wrestling match though.

He's gaining revenge for an issue that happened a year and a half ago and has totally ignored for most of that year and a half? Why take care of it now? Why not back in October? Or February? Why didn't he help Team Angle orchestrate it in April or May? Obviously the issue isn't important if he can wait this long to do it, so your idea is unacceptable. It is acceptable. planning. No it isn't. It's half assed. He CLEARLY hasn't cared aboutn Eddy or Chavo for over a year. Are you telling me that all the while when I thought he was concentrating on Brock, he was planning his revenge on Eddy? Add to that that while they didn't like each other, Eddy and Chavo never did anything to Kurt to necessitate a year and a half long revenge plot. Making sure he didn't get the tag titles back at Survivor Series 02 was a good enough reason. And you're going to tell me that storyline wise with Kane, he didn't care for however many years enough about getting at Undertaker until Bad Blood 97? And who's to say he wasn't? Going by real life situations...when I was getting back at someone who framed me for cheating on a test...I was concentrating on a GREAT many things at the same time. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it isn't feasible.

WM2000's history disc did, as there was about 3 seconds of the horrible Gigante/Taker match. Ah-ha, but that was Giant Gonzales, not El Gigante! Think that Russo will get a good bit of blame as well for the death of WCW? Depends on the mood they're in. They MIGHT try to blame Bret again.

Attack when your opponent least suspects it. Bill Cosby put it best in one of his skits...when he got hit with a slushball in December...made a snowball, and waited till July to get revenge. Just because it takes a long time does not mean it's pointless. It just means they could have been planning.

Family warfare is always good in my mind. And Angle getting involved is simple...it's his revenge. Slow, systematic revenge for the time of battling Los Guerreros by getting them broken up.
-
To you, maybe. To me, I like it.

Minus the intrigue? Is this like when Angle and Brock were the gay Megapowers? I never considered Angle and Brock anywhere near the Megapowers. Choken One did. And he was firm on that statement. OK, HE did. But like I said...I never did.

The funniest I think was how the ORIGINAL FBI had "Fly Me To The Moon" by Frank Sinatra. That just seemed fun. And I think the only ECW wrestler with Production Music (as in not a real song) was Tazz, IIRC. Oh, and "The Zoo" is a good wrestling theme for any big guy, if you ask me. I could see Big Show using it for some reason.
