Personally, I do hope that Chris Benoit wins the title. It would be a good thing for him to get on the last years of his career (admit it, he probably won't be wrestling much longer) The last time they gave that belt to a great Canadian wrestler it was a good move... Plus, it may just get people's minds off of THIS!
-
OK...then how about Angle vs. a former WCW Champion.. KURT ANGLE VS......DAVID ARQUETTE!
-
How about a company with Bischoff, Heyman AND Jim Cornette running it, with one non-McMahon or McMahon supporter as an overseer for all three? What's Jim Crockett doing nowadays?
-
OK, there is a fine line between good gimmick poster and insipid gimmick poster...and you're slowly crossing the line from good to insipid. Some gimmick posters at least take time to rest from their gimmick between posts.
-
Well, perhaps what started it. But the CONTINUATION of it I thought was what I said. I may be wrong, but that's what I thought.

Anglesault was the one who came up with the nickname Suckbag. Nah I just popularized it. My main problem with Benoit/Angle is that they never have a REASON to feud. They had a three month feud in 2001 BECAUSE NIETHER HAD A MATCH THE FUCK? That's how you build up a feud? You don't have a match and niether do I, wanna fight? Then they had a three month feud in 2002 over absolutely nothing. They just started fighting each other for no reason. Give me a reason for them to fight each other on the biggest show ever. Funny, I thought the whole reason behind their feud was that they both considered themselves the best technical wrestlers in WWF/E, and wanted to prove that by taking out the other.
-
He'll probably feud with Vince, then. Hoo boy. How will they bill it? Battle of the Early Years Raw Announcers?
-
This does sound logical, but since when has Vince done the logical thing? He might go the other "logical" route. Like I posted earlier...Orton's being plugged as the Legend Killer (making me wonder if WWE is stealing from E-Feds. That's like the 10th idea or so that I used in an E-Fed that WWF/E or WCW has used. I used it with David Flair and he beat his dad, Bret Hart, and Steve Austin to prove it...but anyway) and Savage is a legend in a way. So...Savage vs. Orton would also make sense. However, since it's in Smackdown magazine, it makes me think that Mach would go to Smackdown if he went to WWE.

ECW Show when Tajiri and Mikey Whipwreck were tag team champions. Tajiri: (Says something in Spanish) Mikey: Hey, I didn't know he could speak Spanish! Sinister Minister: Of course. A demon should be able to speak many tongues!
-
Watch it be Orton.
-
I believe he and Edge were face for a while during the early stages of the E&C/Hardyz/Dudleyz wars. It was shortly after that they turned heel.
-
Except he has better entrance music.
-
Except for the knocking the flag over, you've just described the current wrestling career of Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

How exactly would an evil American gimmick play out? See the man in your signature picture. The one in the middle.

Did somebody screwup in the Goldberg/HHH match?
ChrisMWaters replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
Or a Goldust-esque bodysuit. ...*shudder* -
Or The Patriot in Canada when he was fueding with Bret Hart. Ah yes, the Patriot...the man Kurt Angle STOLE his theme from. Seriously though...you think before his injury the WWF would have pushed the Patriot to become WWF Champion or no?
-
I've always wondered...what the hell do those plates on the sides of that belt say? Names of the former title holders or something?
-
Yes, he did. He carried it while waiting for a title shot against Shane Douglas. Later, he had Sabu pin him in one of my favorite moments in wrestling history. (hits Sabu with one of his Tazplexes into a table, Sabu's out, he pulls Sabu on top of him for the pin) And when Taz won the ECW World Title, he fought Sabu in a title unification match.

Just like the French, right? Well, the French are. I mean really, what legitimate purpose do they serve on earth? They're evil in their space occupying ways and general uselessness. They gave us Jacques Coustou (sp)? I mark for that voice for some reason.
-
Bah, we don't need Singh for that role. Iron Sheik would fill it MUCH better.
-
Just like the French, right? You know, it just occured to me that ANYWHERE ELSE in the world, the perfect heel gimmick would be Pro-USA. Simply amazing. Sorta like Kurt Angle when he first came into the WWF? Or Lex Luger's second WWF run (first was the Narcissist.)

The 1980's called, they want you back. Russia is no longer a major threat, nor an enemy to the US. An evil Russian wrestler wouldn't work in this day and age. ...unless it was a female wrestler who was pissed because she was looked over for Russian Gymnastics...

Kurt Angle recruiting Bret Hart
ChrisMWaters replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm still wondering though, if Bret came back as a commentator, would you guys be against it or no? -
Kurt Angle recruiting Bret Hart
ChrisMWaters replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in The WWE Folder
There are only two things I want to see Bret Hart do in wrestling now due to the post-concussion syndrome. 1) Be a referee for a match (either a Title Bout or one of McMahon's matches) 2) Be a commentator. I mean, he can't be any worse than current Jerry Lawler, can he? -
The difference? Jarrett is an ACTUAL TRAINED WRESTLER...McMahon was not. Besides, this trick isn't new. If you can contact spirits, just ask the Von Erich family.
