You don't have to be big to show believability in the Rumble. Look at Flair, Martel, Backlund, Valentine. They weren't really that big, and lasted at LEAST a half hour each in the Rumble. Being small makes you wiry, easier to grab ropes, and easier to do more agile moves to get back into the ring. Oh, and don't forget Michaels.

Hogan was one of the mark out moments of the year for me. I just wish that when Hogan went back to the red and yellow, he got rid of that damn black beard. He looks younger without it. And went back to the classic gear...no stupid feather boas. Ah well.

Nova horrible? I don't think so. I always found Nova's matches enjoyable, he did some moves better than others that used them, had the Kryptonite Krunch, was entertaining to me... You call Nova horrible over guys like Test, Mark Henry, and the like?

I'd LOVE for Steiner to do a shoot match on HHH. I'd be like Jerry Lawler in the 1995 Royal Rumble during the Diesel/Bret Hart match. "These two guys are destroying each other! Now all one of them has to do is finish the job!"
-
Why couldn't have been Nova that won it? That would have been SO much better. I'd have LOVED to have seen Hurricane and Nova in the ring at the same time.

The One and Only Raw Thread for 1/6/03
ChrisMWaters replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
By the way...one thing that I did like about the HHH/Steiner segment...when HHH took off the World Title, he taunted Steiner with it as he handed it to Flair. That just gave HHH a cocky edge that I thought worked. That's the ONLY good thing that I'll say about HHH right now. -
Feeling like there's nothing better to do right now, I decided to make a Raw Thread. Any predictions on matches for the show?
-
How about a contest that HHH can EASILLY win... Biggest nose.

I always thought that Hurricane's hook kick was called a flying wizard... Oh, and I marked for the Cruiserweight Chokeslam. If he's in the Royal Rumble this year, and Jamie Noble is in too...I'd like to see Hurricane chokeslam Noble over the top rope to the floor. As for Raven....I don't know if they're seriously going to start giving him a push. How old is he anyway? I think the last time WWF seriously pushed Raven was when he was known as Johnny Polo.

You know when Fan Favorite Wrestlers interract with fans sometimes...I'm wondering...what things do you like for them to do? I have a few that I choose: 1) The slapping of the hands. That makes them know they care about the fans just a bit, as if they know that they support them. 2)Giving props away. Bret Hart, Rey Mysterio, and Hurricane have all done this, and it just seems cool to me. Of course...Adam Bomb did it too... 3)Acknowledging signs. One big example was with Hulk Hogan, when he would take a "Hulkamania" sign from ringside and show it in the middle of the ring. What do you people think?
-
Until he officially comes back onto WWF/E programming, I'll just say that they forgot about that whole incident. Though it WOULD be funny if that happened.
-
Hmm...I wouldn't be surprised if Rikishi was entered this year as well, bringing HIS grand total of Royal Rumbles up to 9.
-
Ah right... That makes the tentative list: 1)Shawn Michaels 2)Chris Jericho 3)Batista 4)Christian 5)Undertaker (possible) 6)Damaja (if they don't change plans) 7)Winner of Brock/Show
-
It'll be either Marty Jannetty or Drew Carey.
-
It's called Bait and Switch. Promise something good, then give you the same old, same old.
-
And like I said, I think that might be a pretty good match if that does happen. And it'll be set up in the Royal Rumble. Classic WrestleMania kinda stuff...a feud set up in the Royal Rumble for the big one! Like part of Hogan/Savage, as well as Bad News/Piper, Warrior/Hogan, Sid/Hogan, and probably others that slip my mind right now.
-
...I just had a scary thought... What if Vince McMahon announces that he's going to be in the Royal Rumble this year, to commemerate the anniversarry of his 1999 win?
-
Hmm...Linkin Park's "In The End" might work for a Heyman/Lesnar feud. "I put my trust in you...gone as far as I can go...." "...I tried so hard, and got so far...but in the end, it doesn't even matter!"
-
Guess they changed their mind about announcing the participants. SMackdown has no excuse though... And I'm hoping that Undertaker is back, but we shall see. If he IS in, this will be Taker's 7th Royal Rumble. He was in it 91, 92, 93, 97, 01, and 02. He was numbers 12, 20, 15, 30, 25, and 8 respectively. Why he never drew 13, a perfect number for him, I'll never know. Edit: OH! And as for Damaja might not being in...hell, they let Doug Gilbert into the 1996 Rumble (Gilbert in USWA at the time)
-
Hmm...I wonder if that guy who went to the Royal Rumble back in 2001 did the blank sign thing when Drew Carey came out...
-
Eh, I was just thinking that it would work because HBK has at least SOME semblence of Mic skills...unlike RVD, who has barely any.
-
Michaels managing RVD could only do stuff to IMPROVE RVD's career. It would give him someone to do his interviews for him at least.
-
Against someone we thought was (sadly) being pushed too! It's like OMEGA all over again!
-
That's what I was thinking too. This whole little conflict with Jericho and Michaels is just so they can have a match at WrestleMania. Which may just be a pretty darn good match for that card...
-
To HURRICANE, no less. HE'S BUSTING UP JEFF'S DRUG RING!
