    Walker Texas Ranger Rips off....

What's the big deal? Why get so pissed off over one episode of a show that's been off the air for years?
  2. cawthon777

    WWE Pics

He was in his hometown of Charlottesville the next night and, since the WWE doesn't hit this area very often, I assume he just wanted to go all out and bring some of his friends to the show in something other than a rental car.
  3. Why were you investigating his groin area in the first place?

    New Backlash card

There is only one way to salvation and that way is through Sean O'Haire!!!
  5. Not a bad collection. Be a pal and hook me up with some results. C'moooon, you know you want to.

    New Backlash card

Well Backlash has always sucked since it follows WrestleMania so with that in mind I think this particular show is just as watchable as all the others. *Rock vs. Bill Goldberg Goldberg goes over. If Rock can carry Goldberg like DDP did, we'll be okay. *Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena or Chris Benoit (taped last night, check spoilers if you're interested in outcome) Lots of potential either way. *Booker T & Kevin Nash & Shawn Michaels vs. HHH & Ric Flair & Chris Jericho Seeing this match live was pretty cool. I think that had to do with the guys in the ring more than it had to do with the match itself. I think just about everyone is predicting Nash to score the pin here, probably over Triple H. However, if Booker scored the pin ... I could dig that. *Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros for tag titles I loved their series from earlier this year and thought they could have held off on Team Angle winning the belts until WrestleMania - with the right buildup that match could have drawn huge heat. These guys always work well together. Team Angle retains. *Trish Stratus vs. Jazz for womens title Trish has picked up her game SO much over the past year. Jazz probably walks away with the belt. Note to WWE - get more face women with in-ring talent. *Sean O'Haire vs. Rikishi I could get into this if it's a replay of Jannetty / Borga from Summer Slam (with O'Haire being Borga, of course). Give it 3-5 minutes and have O'Haire kill Rikishi. *Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show Yeah, okay, so Show sucks when it comes to workrate. I can look over that. This is a nice little comedy match that is going to put massive face heat on Rey, not that he needs it. The result here won't really do much for either man's career - it's not like if Show pulls out a close victory that Rey won't go anywhere. Although I'd like to see Rey go over (but if he does, there will be a ton of interference). I'm presuming a three-way with Dudleys vs. Storm & Morley vs. Van Dam & Kane for Raw tag titles Okay, this match more than any other will blow. I couldn't get into it in Roanoke and I won't get into it on PPV. The only match I would rather not watch is the Raw tag title bout. Everything else is passable. Maybe not 5 star - but passable.
  7. I've been waiting for him to turn on Kane since they started teaming up.
  8. After seeing RVD in action this weekend - I agree that he's very over but he needs to work on his in-ring stuff before getting another main event push. The past few weeks / months he's shown a lot of hesitation and his high spots haven't come across as very crisp. And whoever said that RVD was working main events on house shows and not Booker T - I don't know where that came from. The only main events RVD has worked this year were in a handful of tag matches and Booker's been getting more title shots on the house show circuit than anyone this year. I'll support RVD as a main eventer when he starts working like he did when he came into the WWF 2 years ago. I was all about him winning the title at Survivor Series but, since he started tagging with Kane during the winter, his abilities have suffered.

    Trivia

If you're referring to Dibiase / IRS vs. Bossman / Virgil that was released on CHV - keep in mind that match took place in the later part of 91 and they would not team up again until they won the belts in Denver. The commentary was done AFTER they became an established team - thus they were called Money Inc for the bout. They didn't go by that name until after they won the titles and by that time Sherri was managing HBK.

    Non-spoiler Smackdown Card

Well, permanent in WWE terms is relative. I'd guess a month.

    Dream Match

While it's true just about all of those matches never took place on TV, some of them did happen. Bret fought Hogan across several California shows in the summer of 99, when Hogan had the strap and before Bret returned to action after Owen's death. I believe it was just over one weekend. They were all draws / no contests after the interference of, I believe, Lex Luger. Pillman fought Owen in the 97 IC title tournament. This particular match was held at the famous Raw @ MSG telecast about a week before Pillman's death. Now, if it were Pillman 91-93 against Owen 93-99 - THAT would have ruled. This match wasn't much to speak of since the two were teammates and it included the interference of Goldust. Benoit beat Flair around the WCW house show circuit around the time of Mayhem 99 / Starrcade 99, to give Benoit more credibility as a main event player.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Could happen but I could also see a big cop-out with the First Good showing up at the climax of the final ep ... Buffy's on the verge of death ... Faith is in a coma (she's good with those) ... and everyone else is either dead or has the shit kicked out of them. Then, within about 10 seconds, the First Good sends the First Evil back from whence it came. I'd laugh my ass off if the First Good was Buffy's dad.

    David Boreanaz in..

Nothing's written in stone. There are plans IF the show continues - I've heard that there will be surprise deaths and people from Buffy will come over to the Angel cast - but it has to be picked up first.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Great episode - one of those instances where the end comes and I go "NOOOOOOO, I MUST HAVE MORE!" What's Anya going to do with a one-eyed Xander? And where was she anyway? I still think the First Good is going to layeth the smack down and save the Scoobies.

    How quick was it done...

If I was booked to job the world title to Rick Steiner in a squash match in the main event of the biggest even of the year - I'd want to jump too.

    Dream Match

You know, it says Shotgun but I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a dark match. I believe they had more than one during this time. Angle spoke of it in his book as well. Angle spring 99 is NOT Angle 03 - and this was a squash match - so I wouldn't lay claim to the bout being anything other than noteworthy on paper.
  18. cawthon777

    David Boreanaz in..

Tim Burton should direct Batman 5. Then I would def go see it. I think Boreanaz has potential. It's easier to see him as Batman but I wouldn't write him off for Superman either (never thought Tobey Maguire could pull of Spider-Man and look what he did with that).

    Best Roster...

    Plenty of times.
  20. Raven vs. Tommy Dreamer has a third of the votes thus far? Wouldn't have expected that. Hogan / Andre. Once it began in 87, they only fought one-on-one 3 times (only twice on TV) yet the feud carried the WWF for almost 2 years and made the world take notice of pro wrestling.

    The Real Cancun

The guy from Tempe, AZ pretty much has to have gone to Arizona State University ... since that's the only thing in Tempe. I did a few years there.
  22. cawthon777

    Dream Match

    That actually did take place.
  23. cawthon777

    The Real Cancun

Major sign of desperation - when movies list nudity, language, etc in the trailer not as a precautionary tactic but as a form of advertisement. This movie is going to bomb harder than Pluto Nash.
  24. Technically speaking, I might have to say that the Owen match was better - but the Summer Slam match remains my favorite bout of all time.

    Valentine...

Yeah, I just checked. She was in 'Rules of Attraction' but not 'Jawbreaker' - I saw both during the same weekend ... guess my mind couldn't distinguish between the college druggie movie and the high school murder movie.
