Bobby: "Have you ever seen a Texas tornado? All they really do is kick up some dirt and knock over a few mobile homes down at the trailer park." There are 2 rematches of theirs on CHV. One is on Supertape 3 and is from Toronto - the other is from Supertape 4 and is the bout where Perfect regained the title. The 92 Rumble post-match celebration is PURE GOLD!

Young HBK, which means 92-93. Current Day HBK is nice to have around but he's starting to turn into the neighbor that won't leave your house.
-
...Well, that blows. I used to HATE the Hollywood Blondes when I got into WCW in 93 - but even when I was 12 I could tell that they were by and far more talented than any other team there at the time. Austin as a singles wrestler in WCW put on great matches with everyone from Steamboat to Steiner, Rhodes to Windham, Sting to Pillman. His run against Bret was pheonomenal.

Good read. Vince may not be attracting new viewers but if he can impress Bret - that's saying something.
-
The only scene I marked out for was the Dr. Evil / Mini Me rap session. The rest was just rehashed jokes from the first 2 films.
-
One last reference from 'The Gift'. Doc appears on the scaffold, tosses Spike to the ground, and looks at his watch. Guess what time it is?
-
It was Bischoff. Russo was busy with Flair.
-
I kinda saw him as a psychotic Forrest Gump.
-
During Mania, Mean Gene interviewed Hogan after the tag match and he talked about being in Bret's locker room earlier and wishing him luck...that was about it. Yoko came in September / October 92. So about 6 months - which still isn't as quick as Brock's 4 month push to the title.
-
He gained many count-out victories - especially in 89.
-
LOL Classic Ventura. Nope, Savage has never defeated Hogan via pin or submission - not even in WCW. I don't even believe he gained any type of victory over Hogan in WCW.
-
Also remember 'Restless' when Buffy is dreaming about being in the bedroom. Buffy: "Faith and I just made that bed..." Tara: "You have no idea of who you are ... what's to come (Dawn)" The clock in the room reads 7:30 Buffy: "It's so late..." Tara: "Oh, that? That's way off."

Also on Inside the Steel Cage.

LOL Good job of overanalyzing, Bobby. Bret was being the down-to-business champion that didn't like Jose in the way of his match.
-
I was always a fan of the Steiners / Headshrinkers match on that card. Now, from the perspective I have now, it should have been obvious of the outcome of this match - but the match was a fun rollercoaster ride (and stiff as hell, which I love). Perfect being pinned with his feet on the ropes to this day is still a horrible horrible call.
-
They did fuck up the plot. Scott shouldn't be evil ... and Dr. EVIL SHOULDN'T BE GOOD! Although if Heather Graham and Elizabeth Hurley are returning - I'm there!
-
Dinosaucers Oh wow, I forgot how lame it was.
-
That was my first pay-per-view; I was 11. Hogan winning the title didn't make up for Bret losing it. Pissed me off.
-
I always saw Matt as the Hardy that was suffering from the Jim Neidhart / Marty Jannetty syndrome. When I saw him face Raven at the MCI Center last June, I made it clear that I wanted the other one (so did a lot of other fans). I have learned from the error of my ways.

Those were left off with good reason. Aside from Sid, the champs only had one or two title defenses. Sid - challengers: Sultan, Bret, HBK, Mankind, Taker

Wrong year there.

I remember that show...well, vaguely. I believe there was also a, probably brief, comic book run.

I'm not going by workrate alone here so keep that in mind: 1991: The Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage - WrestleMania VII 1992: Bret Hart vs. the British Bulldog - Summer Slam 1993: Big Van Vader vs. Cactus Jack - Halloween Havoc; Texas Death Match 1994: Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania X; ladder match 1995: World War 3 battle royal for the WCW World Title 1996: Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin - Survivor Series 1997: Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin - WrestleMania XIII (Survivor Series was the better match, IMO, but this had more fallout - with Bret turning heel and Austin becoming the top face in the company) 1998: Triple H vs. the Rock - Summer Slam; ladder match 1999: Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit - WCW Monday Nitro 2000: Triple H vs. Cactus Jack - Royal Rumble; streetfight 2001: Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho vs. Steve Austin & Triple H; Raw is War 2002: The Rock vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan (remember when I said I wasn't going by workrate alone?) - WrestleMania X-8

A girl reaches her sexual prime at 35. Men at 18. Yeah, that's fair.

National: Just randomly pick a Fox News girl whose first name isn't Greta ... my pick - Kieran Chetchry Local: Jennifer Waddel who works for the local Fox affiliate ... she should change her name to Jennifer Looksgoodonmydick
