    Suspected 9/11 mastermind arrested

Saudi breeds terrorism and anti-Americanism like no other country. The royal family might be pro-America, but they don't have any power over the tribes that make up most of the country. Something should be done. I don't think taking over the country is needed but it does require, and I would assume it is already getting, the attention of the defense department.

What about the despicable allies like Saudi Arabia, who'll gleefully carry it out and then go and give huge amounts of money to the exact same terrorist's group to continue attacking the West? I've no doubt America is constantly diligent in its apprehension of Al-Qu'aeda operatives, but it most certainly seems hell-bent on ignoring the source of Al-Qu'aeda and Islamic radical terrorism as a whole. Iraq may be run by a nasty piece of work, but it does not pose the same fundamental threat that Saudi Arabia, Syria and Egypt do to the United States. The Iraqi regime is not motivated by the same fanaticism that courses through the three aforementioned states. I honestly believe that if Bush had the balls to do it, he could make a much more convincing case for war against Saudi Arabia then he has against Iraq, and I'd be willing to bet that he'd get more support too. I'd support that. Give Bush some time and let's see what happens.

    Affirmative Action

Not the best argument to make. It doesn't ensure equality at all and, sorry to be blunt and all, but I'll be damned if I'm one of the white people that get stepped on. I'm not racist and I've never done anything hurtful to minorities so I shouldn't be "punished" for things of the past.

    Affirmative Action

They would be labled a racist and a rumored affiliation with the KKK would follow. Making fun of black people is taboo for most comedians. The only ones that can do it and get away with it are black themselves. Whites, however, can be made fun of by anyone. I don't care, I don't get offended easily. But there is a double standard.

    Will Bush get kicked?

The only demographic Sharpton could carry is the paranoid "they're out to get you" black voters that actually buy into what he has to say. He's a nut. Jackson was a viable candidate in '88 because that was a pre-nut Jackson. They can't attract voters with what they have to say - they can only turn them away. The fact that both men use AA to profit themselves would make them even more on the outs with voters. I thought Tracey Morgan's impression of Sharpton on SNL's 'Hardball with Chris Matthews' skit a few months back was classic and right on the money. Sharpton: "Pikachu is a slave owner and Osama bin Laden is an Uncle Tom!" Matthews: "Reverend Sharpton, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard ... (random other guest) - CAN YOU BEAT THAT?" Or when SNL had the Super Bowl halftime show and Morgan / Sharpton said that the Bushes were out to get him. When Hammond / Matthews asked him which one (George Sr, W, Jeb, etc), Sharpton replied "...No, the bushes outside my window. I leave the house and I swear they're watching me!"

    Iraq destroyed it's WMD

To paraphrase Dennis Miller on Leno... America is the only super power. Everyone else either loves us or hates us - which kinda makes us a lot like Frank Sinatra. But Sinatra didn't get to where he was by taking advice from the schmo that couldn't even get in the club. Saddam = safer world. And that's my final answer.

    Best Sketch in SNL history

Whoa...take the kids out and replace the women with Eliza Dushku and Alyson Hannigan and that's my wish! Love that segment.

If the French pull a veto, I have little doubt that Bush will go ahead with war without them. The U.S. didn't ask for the UN's permission to go after Iraq - we asked for their support. Very different. The UN is a joke. It's a way for smaller countries with no power to feed off larger countries like the United States and it gives them the power to tell us what we can and cannot do. Things would be better if the UN acted more like the Super Friends. Everyone took orders from Superman (the US) and Batman (the UK) and there was never a disagreement. They all worked together against the Legion of Doom (Hawk, Animal, Droz, Saddam, Qui-Gon Jinn or whatever his name is in North Korea, etc). Aquaman never tried a power play.

KKK looking to demonstrate at Augusta

What is this, Dungons and Dragons? lol No, but he could probably wipe the floor with the Grand Wizard and give Aly a run for her money.

KKK looking to demonstrate at Augusta

Why did the KKK have to go and ruin a perfectly good title like 'imperial wizard'. Seriously, if it weren't for the KKK that would be the coolest title to have.

    Iraq destroyed it's WMD

Rant much? The future of Iraq is in Saddam's hands. He knows that. All he has to do is comply. Let the inspectors go and see whatever they want. If he doesn't, he faces the consequences of our country beating his ass and putting a bullet in his head. But he doesn't comply. He risks the well being of both his military and his people and he does not care. He mocks the UN resolutions and pulls bullshit PR tactics like that debate with Bush (that, sadly, several of these posters completely buy into). Saddam needs to die. He has since 1990. His death = happy me and safer world.

    Will Bush get kicked?

It sucks that religion plays such a big part in getting elected to office. It shouldn't even be an issue. Although, if they kept quiet about it until they entered office... It shouldn't be an issue per say but keep in mind "this country ... under god". America, in general, wants a President that will stand up for moral values and often that goes hand in hand with religion (not saying it should, just making observations).
  15. Hm. Maybe Saddam should go hide in a cave. If he were smart, he would. He's been offered sanctuary in another country. But being the egomaniacal man that he is, he would rather stay in control of Iraq - even if that means the very disctruction of the country.

    Your political beliefs

And America won the Cold War. Reagan had as much to do with that as I did. That's crap. Reagan had to turn this country around a full 180 after Jimmy Carter's 4-year adventure in blunders. When Reagan took office, the Soviets were leading the way.
  18. To expect us to publically display his head on a stake for all to see is unrealistic. Yes, he was the figurehead. But what people don't understand is that if he's dead, nothing will change. Someone else will just take his place. So to focus all our attention on one man is rediculous. Who's to say he's not dead and buried under rubble and that all these messages we get are fakes? With all the bombs we dropped in Afganistan, we can't say with 100% accuracy who's dead and who's alive - but most are dead.
  19. We laid Afganistan to waste, dismantled al-Queda, and caught / killed hundereds of terrorists in the process. Not quite the same thing.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Well Joss has made it clear that Willow will never die, so I'm happy with that.
  21. That's not entirely true. I happened to run across some old Time magazines yesterday that had articles on the "war" he almost green lighted. His plan was extremely half assed (bomb his bioweapons plants and military installations, wait 12 months, then do it again) no one really gave much of a reason to do it, and the Lewinsky scandal was heating up, so people weren't exactly happy with it. This was 5 years ago almost to the day, too (late February/early March). Most of Clinton's military actions were for political reasons - not to protect the U.S. What do you do when the media won't leave the Lewinsky story alone? Give them something else to talk about.

    Howard Stern disses Goldust/JR segment

If the WWE did that, Goldust would be over huge. "Randy Orton ... Batista ... you boys will find out soon FUCK SHIT CUNT FACE BITCH what it's like to be on the verge of death ... you will never forget the name of ASS FUCK goooooldust."
  23. That's the problem. Back then the UN didn't give him the chance. All he could do was remove Saddam's forces from Kuwait.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Boooo you for your subtly-given spoilers jk lol I was reading the Buffy magazine back in December ($7 is too much to pay so I just read it at the newstand) and Anya said something to the effect of "I told Joss I don't want to die but he's going to do what he's going to do." Since they just learned fairly recently that this would be the final season - while Emma leaving was well known months ago - I would just assume she would be given a proper death scene to send her off.
  25. Personally? No, I don't. If we were the bad evil imperialistic country that everyone makes us out to be, we could just as easily take over Saudi Arabia. They are the world's leading oil exporter with more than twice as much as Iraq. Most of the hijackers came from Saudi and, despite the pro-American stance from the royal family (that really has no power at all over its people), the Saudis are leading the way in terms of anti-Americanism and breeding terrorism. On a personal note, my uncle - who was in the navy at the time - was on shore leave in Saudi back in the mid 80s. He was in a very bad car wreck that almost cost him his life and ultimately resulted in him walking with a limp to this day. What was the Saudis' response? Imprison him because he was the forienger, despite the fact he was not at fault for the accident. Thankfully my dad was able to sneak him out of the country. These guys are not our "friends" even if they claim to be our "allies".
