  1. He's probably just pissed about never getting Winnie Cooper. He hooked up with Winnie in the final episode. Nuh uh. At the end, narrator Kevin talks about going off to college and meeting his future-wife and having kids. No in the final episode Kevin and Winnie got it on in the barn! Really? I don't remember that part. I remember they were in the barn and both of them started crying because they knew they wouldn't end up with the other in the long run. It's been years since I've seen it, could be wrong. Wonder Years > Garofalo

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

Here comes the death of Anya (my prediction).
  4. No guarentee at this point that Angel will live on beyond this season either. I don't get why UPN is so anti-Buffy. The crap shows like Abby or Sisters or Random Stupid Show that Caters to the Stereotypical Black Audience gets more advertising than Buffy. UPN has made the argument that the Buffy ratings have gone down and that's why it's worthless. Yeah, forget about quality programming. Forget about believing in your product.

    UN Resolution 1441

Well, let's see. We're the only super power in the world today. Britain is a distant second. Then everyone else. From my perspective, most of the countries that are actually productive are with us - so no, these others don't count so much. Have to paraphrase Dennis Miller from last night's Leno. "We're the world's only super power. We're hated and loved by everyone. We might as well be Frank Sinatra. But let me tell you this, Sinatra didn't get where he was by listening to some schmo who couldn't even get in the club."

Hell, post-Summer Slam is when the product actually became watchable.

Tony Blair is our most staunch ally. The reason we haven't gone to war already is because the U.S. is trying to help the UK out from a diplomatic standpoint in return for coming to our aid. As I said previously in a different thread, leaders sometimes have to do what is best for the country and if that means making controversial calls and having their popularity slide as a result - then that's what they'll do. I admire Tony Blair for sticking to his convictions as Bush has done.

Or maybe it isn't. That would be the alternative.

Make sure you know who did the poll. Also, other Middle Eastern countries like Kuwait are with us.

  11. NO! I do not approve! Blasphemy! UPN is anti-Buffy. Les Moonves recently said that if it were up to him, they wouldn't have picked the show up for Season 6.

The U.S. has almost 50 countries backing them. I think it's just the very outspoken minority that has people thinking the ENTIRE world is against us. Does anyone have a list somewhere that could be referenced? I personally, would like to know some of these countries as one of the biggest pushers for the anti-war movement in our dorm seems to think "The Global Community" is united against this war. Fox News has posted it several times on TV but I've yet to find a copy off the net - not even on their website. From what I can remember: UK Japan Australia Canada all of Europe aside from France, Germany, and Belgium
  13. Yeah ... but only when the TV won't work.

    your favorite period/era?

92/93 - WWF and WCW. Yes, very cartoonish. That's when I got into wrestling, was hooked by guys like Bret Hart and the British Bulldog, saw my first PPV (WrestleMania IX), and attended my first house show. Other than nostalgia reasons, there was a lot of good to mix in with the bad during that time. The Perfect face turn on Prime Time, the Vader / Cactus Jack feud, Bret Hart's first run with the title, the Hollywood Blondes, the first KOTR, Summer Slam 92, and the first Slamboree (which got me interested in some of the old school wrestlers). And even some of the more cartoonish wrestlers are still regarded today as being some of the best gimmicks ever. For example, Papa Shango and the Mountie.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

It was Andrew and Jonathan...Warren had been good and dead by then. I love how he called her by the name "Evil Willow" though. Yep, I was apparently very tired when I wrote that.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

All bow before Andrew the Great! Notice the framed Star Wars comic on the wall during the Masterpiece Theater intro? Hilarious. I believe the pig was from earlier this season when the First, as Warren, tried to get Andrew to kill the piggie. It was too fast for him! Andrew is one of the top characters of the season and, despite what is said in the show, I don't think for a second he's going to be killed off. Oh, I could be wrong - but I think the footage of Evil Willow was spliced into the shots of Andrew and Warren. Same lines by Willow, same shots (as I remember). If it was spliced, great work and it just added to the humor.
  20. Maybe, but doing the popular thing is always the right decision. That is what they're elected for, after all. That's not true at all. To steal a little something from Socrates, the good and the pleasurable are not the same. The pleasurable (or in this case, the popular decision) might be nice to have or good in the short term, but that doesn't mean it will be beneficial. In fact, it could be the worst thing to do. It's up to Bush to decide what the good thing to do is - the thing we need rather than the thing we want. They're elected for their ideas, which do not coincide with those of every other American.
  21. I think he would make an awesome super hero, laying waste to evil leaders and spreading food, the cure for AIDS, and goodwill all over the world. He'd be like Super Grover ... but with shades and a good singing voice.
